Dr. Woodward is a graduate of the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry. While in dental school, he served as class president for four years. He also served on numerous committees and served on many boards. He was chosen by his classmates twice as Student of the Year. Dr. Woodward is a member of the Springfield Dental Society, Missouri Dental Association, Academy of General Dentist, American Association of Cosmetic Dentist and the American Academy of Cosmetic Orthodontics.
Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Woodward received his Bachelors degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from Pittsburg State University. Dentistry is a second career for Dr. Woodward. He previously was a licensed funeral director and embalmer for almost 15 years.
In his spare time, Dr. Woodward enjoys photography, spending time with his family, and smoking meats. He has won several photography contests and had numerous photographs published. You can see his photographs on display at the office.
Elizabeth is a native of Taney County. She decided at a young age to pursue a career in the dental field. She attended Ozarks Technical Community College, where she graduated as a Certified dental assistant with expanded functions in 2012. After working for 3 years as a dental assistant,she returned to OTC to further her education. In May of 2017, Elizabeth graduated and became a licensed as a Registered Dental Hygienist. She recently married her sweetheart, Aaron, and together they have 2 fur babies, Cali Mae and Sadie Mae. In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys spending time outdoors and with her family. She is excited to be serving in her own local community.
Janice started her dental career as a CDA in 1990 where she assisted for 20 years. In 2010 she moved positions to Office Manager. Janice has been married to Shawn over 30 years. They have one Son, Dr. Tyler Mathenia, wife Megan & Grand Dog Louie.
Julie is married with three children and two grandchildren. She grew up in Southern California, but started her career as a dental assistant when she moved to Missouri. Her passions are gardening and enjoying the great Ozarks outdoors.
Jessica has been a Dental Assistant for 3 years, experience in pediatric and oral surgery. She graduated from Midwest Technical Institute in 2018. She decided to become a Dental Assistant because she wanted to have a job with a purpose and to help others. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Katrina was born and raised in Taney County and went to Forsyth all through school. Dentistry is something she has always been interested in. She's currently going to OTC to become a Registered Dental Hygienist. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and being outdoors.

Forsyth Family Dental saved me! I had an existing appointment to have a crown replaced, and prior to the appointment I chipped a front tooth. It was bugging the heck out of me (I do a lot of work on Zoom), and I expected when I got to the office I'd just schedule a later appointment--but they actually managed to get the work done on the SAME DAY as my existing appointment! Love this only-in-the-Heartland, small-town, can-do attitude! Dr. Woodward did beautiful work, and his staff were warm and accommodating as always. FIVE STARS!

Very professional, friendly, and explained in detail what the problem was and how they suggest to treat it. My first time to this dentist. Everyone was great. Would highly recommend Dr Woodward.

Very impressed and happy with the office. They worked hard to get me in during an emergency and took great care of both me and my wife. The entire office was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn't recommend any more highly!

I was having a lot of anxiety about a cavity filling when I went in the other day-- and definitely shed some tears doing my procedure!-- but I really do want to thank and commend Dr. Woodward and Lindsey for the very respectful way they treated me. I appreciated their affirmations, reassurances, and how they were listening to me every step of the way when I needed something, wasn't comfortable, or was in pain. Going to the dentist can be super stressful, but I was really so pleased with the kindness of the staff and how they didn't make me feel embarrassed for how I was feeling. So thank you!! And also thank you to Elizabeth who is always the friendliest face to see when I come in for routine cleanings :) you guys are the best! Worth the drive from Springfield!

KY3 is severely in danger of losing the title! Because FFD is the place to be. Because they care. The staff here are so helpful and kind. They make you feel right at home. Considering I stress eat, have a performance based occupation, 2 little kids and a hard candy addiction, let's just say I'm wildly familiar with two things: the Tooth Fairy and Dental Offices. From start to finish, there's never an unwelcoming moment displayed by their staff or felt by your surroundings. I would recommend and refer anyone and everyone to give FFD a try. You absolutely will not be let down.

Highly recommend! I've been a patient for 10+ years and have only wonderful things to say about the atmosphere, quality of care, and team. I also recommend their in house insurance plan. Shout out to Katie for being incredible and having a super soft touch - no sore mouth after a cleaning.

Sept 2020 was my first visit to Forsyth Family Dental as we are new to the area. I was impressed with the thoroughness of the exam and cleaning. I have several issues due to a previous illness as well as age. They were very knowledgeable about potential issues and how to help prevent further damage. I appreciate a dentist who is ready to provide needed care, but doesn't want to tackle every potential issue with a costly repair. The staff also were compliant with the Covid protocols. So, I felt very safe. As a side note, I enjoyed Dr Woodward's photography displayed in their office, as well as a slide show in the treatment room. MUCH better than some inane TV program.
