At The John Fornetti Dental Center, we dont use the word patients we call everyone guests. Thats because our sole focus is on making your visit to The John Fornetti Dental Center the best experience possible. With a service akin to a 5 star hotel, our care philosophy is based on a CREDO card that each staff member carries and lives by.
We understand that sometimes a visit to the dentist can be stressful, so our first goal is to put our guests at ease. By answering every question and anticipating your every need, our staff will exceed your expectations and gain your trust.
Although Dr. John began this practice in 1983, his roots had been planted many years earlier. John's father graduated from dental school in 1944 and returned to Iron Mountain after World War II. There has been a strong family heritage ever since. Dr. John has the distinct pleasure of practicing with his son, Dr. Dan. He has been blessed with a powerful education which has helped him earn numerous diplomate and fellowship distinctions. John belongs to various dental organizations and has the privilege of being affiliated with both of our local hospitals. After graduating from dental school and returning home with his wife, Terese, they began their family and now have four beautiful children. His favorite hobbies are hunting, fishing and camping.
Continuing in family tradition, Dr. Dan graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry in 2011. He then moved to St. Louis, Missouri and married his beautiful wife, Mary. After practicing in St. Louis for a year, Dr. Dan decided to move back home and practice with his father. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Dan is very excited to provide excellent dental care to the people of the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin. He enjoys spending time with his three children, Emma Ann, George Henry and Catherine Elizabeth. His hobbies include reading, cooking and hiking with Mary.
As the first doctor in her family, Dr. Nicole graduated from the university of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry in May of 2019. Dr. Nicole grew up in Iron Mountain and is excited to be back in her hometown as she begins her career as a dentist. Dr. Nicole is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Dr. Nicole recently married her husband, Luke, in July of 2019 and welcomed baby Reid in 2020. She loves spending time with her family, doing art projects and crafting, and spoiling her dogs Gracie and Pepper.
'I love patient education and watching the progress my guests make not only in their oral health but overall health.' Meghan loves spending time with her family, staying active and enjoying the outdoors. She married her high school sweetheart, Mike, in 2012 and has three kids, Andrew, Ellery, and Nathan.
'I like the people - guests I get to take care of and team members I get to work with. I like building relationships.' Ewa loves being active outside - walking, running and exercising with friends at Bianco 's fitness. She also likes to stay in touch with her family in Poland. She 's been married to her husband, Wes, for over 21 years.
'I love being able to help people feel good about their smile! I enjoy getting to know my patients and developing a trusting relationship.' Outside of the office, Ashley likes spending time with friends and family, bonfires and kayaking. She married her high school sweetheart and has a cat named Daisy.
'I enjoy building relationships with our guests and assisting in changing their lives.' In her free time, Paula likes baking, reading, biking and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters. She is married with two sons and two granddaughters.
'I thoroughly enjoy assisting our doctors in creating new smiles and hope for our guests.' Cheryl most enjoys spending time with her twin daughters, working with their horses and is an all around animal lover. When time permits, she enjoys spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, etc.
'I love that I am able to support every department in our practice and interact with our guests on a daily basis.' Shelly values her time spent with her three children, going to their sporting events, doing DIY projects, and hanging out with friends.
'Working at the John Fornetti Dental Center allows me to accomplish a goal in life; making a difference in peoples lives. Getting to know the guests and working with the awesome staff is such a reward.' She enjoys the outdoors and spending time with family and friends; riding horses, camping, hunting and running. Donna has two daughters, five grandchildren, two horses and a dog.
'I love working with my awesome team and seeing people 's big smiles when they leave here after we have helped them.' Ciara enjoys the outdoors; hunting, boat rides and side-by-side rides. She also enjoys attending concerts and hanging out with friends and family. She lives on a potato farm, has one dog, a daughter, and a son.
'I love being able to be the first person to greet guests with a smile, extend hospitality and get to know them. It 's like growing a family. My favorite part is being Tooth Fairy and making balloon animals.' Karen is a potter. She also enjoys riding motor cycle, traveling, kayaking, exploring new places, cooking and volunteering in the community. Karen 's favorite thing in the world is being an Auntie. She feels so fortunate to have so many nieces and nephews both biological and ones she 's collected along the way. She has two fur babies named Boots and Socks.
For quite some time it has been our pleasure to offer our guests an apple following their visit with us. We are now taking this one step further by offering you a tasty apple muffin. Our all-natural muffins are baked fresh daily by our staff and are presented to you as you leave.
It is our hope that you enjoy eating and possibly sharing our dental muffin as much as we have enjoyed preparing them for you. Muffins are something to smile about and at The John Fornetti Dental Center, smiles are what its all about!

Positives were the hygienist and her attention to detail in regards to cleanings. A neutral statement would be the cloying personalities which can be perceived as fake. The negative would be their pricing structure which is high and over the allowable rate from my insurance. I've never had another incidence where it was over the allowable rate and they were unwilling to adjust. I'll happily go elsewhere for the same service at the allowable rate. Dentist Dan's personality won't be missed!

The staff is friendly. They take the time to make clients feel comfortable. I have seen both Dr. Dan and Dr. John and I would recommend them. My 10 year old who was afraid of going to the dentist loves going to see them.

I'm not a fan of the dentist office, but Dr. Dan and all the staff are wonderful. I'm really impressed with how they all seem to work together and they demonstrate what team work is all about.

Dr. Nicole at The John Fornetti Dental Center has by far given me the best dental care I've ever received in this town and that's coming from someone who is petrified of the dentist chair. From my treatments to my recent complications on a weekend. Highly recommend x5

I called in with a sore tooth on a Thursday morning and was seen THAT SAME DAY! The Fornetti Dental Center is open on Thursday evenings until 7pm, a great convenience to many. My appointment was at 5:20 and I was given great care and consideration. It was determined that I needed a root canal. Dr. Dan decided to do the procedure that evening. Even with the cancelation of the last patient, that meant everyone staying late. Never was I made to feel guilty for the inconvenience I was putting on them. Dr. Dan and his dental assistant, Cheryl coordinated the set-up and prep for a root canal they weren't prepared for less than an hour ago. They were kind and patient with each other and even funny and light-hearted in their banter, which put me at ease. They got the job done and Cheryl still walked me out to reception even though she had clean-up to do before going home. It was nearing 7:30 yet there sat Karen working late as well. It was definitely a team response to meet my needs that evening. Let me also say that Dr. John and his wife were watching Dr. Dan's kids that evening - so I was reaping the rewards of a family business as well. The next morning, I received a follow-up call from Heather checking on my condition. I was told I could call on the weekend if necessary. On Monday I still had more pain than anticipated and called the office. A doctor was consulted and my concern was responded to WITHIN AN HOUR and medication was prescribed for pain and possible infection along with a reminder to call again if needed. I have no doubt they will continue to follow up until they know this situation is completely resolved. I also want to point out that I do not have dental insurance. I was treated respectfully and trustfully as I worked out the particulars with my bank the next day. OVER AND ABOVE THE CALL OF DUTY is how I would describe my latest experience and why I continue my dental care with the John Fornetti Dental Center.

Have been going to Dr. John Fornetti's office for dental work for many years now. Always a very positive appointment and they take the time to follow up after you return home. Would not hesitate to recommend their services. They always have a well trained staff and address any concerns or questions you might have at any time. From the time you walk in the door until your appointment is completed, you are made to feel relaxed and comfortable. Very professional team throughout!!!

I greatly appreciated Dr. Dan's thoroughness during the consultation portion of my assessment. All my questions were answered with thoughtfulness towards my concerns and understanding of the education being provided. This is the type of bedside manner that aids in gaining patient trust and follow through with care, especially for those with high-dental- related anxieties

I chipped a front tooth. Another dentist recommended a permanent cap plus a matching cap for the other tooth. Dr. Dan agreed that a low cost alternative of a resin repair may not last, but would save me nearly $3000. For that price, I can have the tooth repaired 15 times. I couldn't be happier with the results and my wallet thanks you!!

Karen right off the bat, gave exceptional tour of the pictures and awards the place received, and even gave me a gift. Everyone was beyond courteous and friendly! The dentist did a great job showing me and explaining to me my issue I was having, and the cost to correct it. Then at the end of my appointment they gave me the best tasting fresh cinnamon muffins I've ever had! Exceptional place, and highly recommend it to anyone! Best experience at a dental clinic I ever had!

They need to be a little more clear on what insurance they take. Called off of work to get a tooth pulled for them to tell me they wouldn't take my insurance and I had to pay all up front today. No payment plans no wanting to help me out at all. I've been in pain for the last month and called ahead and asked about my insurance they said everything was fine.
