Soundental is a special place. We are a privately owned practice whohas servedthe community for more than 40years. Our patients have trusted us with their kids, grandkids, and even great-grandkids during that time. We truly believe in providing careas though each patient was our own family member.

I love working in dentistry. Its one of the few professions where mind and hands interact to enhance the patients well-being. This profession allows me to be creative and artistic while also improving our patients quality of life. My passion is to help patients overcome their insecurities by improving their smiles. This gives me a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

It has been my privilege to serve the communityin a private practice since 1998. I feel very fortunate and proud to say I have been in the same practice and group my entire career, and I look forward to many more years to come.

I earned my undergraduate degree from Oberlin College (BA; Sigma Xi Honor Society) and received my dental degree from Columbia UniversitysSchool of Dental and Oral Surgery in New York City. I also received postgraduate training in the general practice residency program atthe Yale School of Medicine/Yale-New Haven Hospital.

Since graduating, I have served as afaculty member at the Yale School of Medicine Department of Dentistry/Department of Surgery General Practice Residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital.I also have served on thefaculty ofthe University of New Haven School of Hygiene and adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Having the opportunity tointeractwith recent graduating dental students enables me to keep up to date and fresh on whatyoung professionals are learning these days. It also allows me to give back and teach what I have learned over the years in private practice.

I also routinely attend continuing education courses that focus onaesthetics, restorative dentistry, implants, endodontics, geriatrics, and other modern dental techniques. As a health professional, it is my responsibility to offerthe most updated and modern treatments to my patients.

I grew up in a small farm town in southwestern Ohio where community and family werevalued above everything else. I have lived inMilford for many years, where the town motto is A Small City with a Big Heart. I share my home with my Golden-doodle named Owen who loves nothing more than to chase tennis balls and sleep on my couch. I am active in various sports, including tennis, golf, and occasional biking.

I truly believe in community service and paying it forward. Recently, Ihad the chance to travel internationally on various missions and provide dental services to peoplein need. Ive participated in multiplemissions including Bolivia, the Dominican Republic and Jamiaca. Each one is as fulfilling as the previous one. Themission providesan opportunity to apply my skills and techniques to a completely different world.

Anyway, I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobodys around nobody big, I mean except me. And Im standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff I mean if theyre running and they dont look where theyre going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. Thats all I do all day. Id just be the catcher in the rye and all. I know its crazy, but thats the only thing Id really like to be. Holden Caulfield

Being a dentist is truly rewarding because it empowers me to relieve pain and suffering, while creating beautiful, healthy smiles and improving my patients overall health. I love interacting with my patients and helping them achieve a better quality of life. I also enjoy helping anxious patients, whether children or adults, to overcome their fears and feelat ease at the dentists office. My patients have taught me so much over the years: They have taught me to trust, be patient, be a good listener, and go above and beyond to be appreciative of my role within our community.

As a child and young adult, I spent a lot of time in the dental chair.Ive experienced everything from simple fillings to a gingival graft and implant. My childhood dentist spent time educating me on my oral health and the benefits of dental procedures, and I want to pass that same experience on to my own patients.

I began my career in dentistry as a hygienist after attending the University of New Haven for my Bachelor of Science. Five years later, I entered New York University to obtainmy Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

I believe that education is an ongoing commitment. It is essential to stay abreast of new procedures and products that will help me improve my patient care. The continuing education courses Ive taken range from whats new in restorative materials to orthodontics, implants, and pediatric dentistry.

I grew up right here in West Haven and now live in close-by Orange. My husband Jeff and I have two children, Jackson and Emilia. Our home wouldnt be complete without our dog Roscoe, a cockatoo named Molly, and a turtle named Koby.

In my time away from the office, I enjoy gardening, painting, hiking, visiting the local nature centers, restoring antique furniture, and playing soccer and baseball with my kids. I also volunteer my time in the clinic teaching students at the University of New Haven Dental Hygiene School, and go to local schools to teach children the importance of oral health.

Dentistry is a unique profession that allows me to partner with my patients in multiple ways. Not only do I have the opportunity to improve oral health, but also to promote overall health, wellbeing, and self-confidence. My goal is to provide optimal oral care, with an emphasis on meticulous maintenance. I could not be more thrilled to be part of the Soundental team.

Originally from Virginia, I attended the University of Virginia. There, I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry. I continued on to New York University College of Dentistry, earning my Doctorate of Dental Surgery. I completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry.

Dentistry is an ever-changing profession, so commitment to continuing education is essential to providing the finest care for my patients. Annually I complete a range of continuing education courses encompassing a variety of aspects of dentistry.

I was born and raised in Northern Virginia, but have made the move to Connecticut with my husband. In my spare time, my husband and I have enjoyed exploring our new home! In addition, my hobbies include reading, baking, college basketball, and teaching myself calligraphy.
