After already coming highly recommended, Dr. Forfar and his team truly exceeded my expectations every step of the way on my recent Wisdom teeth removal. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them for any future work I need.

My son (21 years old) and my daughter (19 years old) had all their wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Forfar in the month of September 2022. He and his staff did an excellent job from beginning to end for both of my children. Clearly explained the entire process and the possibilities at the initial appointment, did a very through removal, again explained what to expect for the next few days and also provided it in writing. Called to check on the following day to make sure everything was going well and made sure everything healed as expected at the follow up visit. Thank you to Dr. Forfar and all his Staff!!!

Got my Wisdom teeth pulled with very little pain on day 2 I got my 4 wisdom teeth pulled at 8am. When I was called into the office two dentists were very nice and talked to me and helped me calm down. I began breathing in some gas before the oral surgeon came in. When I woke up I was completely numb. The whole surgery took under an hour. I put new gauze 2 hrs after the surgery. I was still numb at this point so I had a hard time swallowing but I managed to take the medication for swelling around 1:00. Through the day I was taking medication for pain which helped IMMENSELY. I was also taking antibiotics. The first day can be a little rough but by the latter half of the day I was feeling a lot better, though still had some discomfort. Within a week I got back to eating mostly normally.

My husband is the biggest scaredy-cat when it comes to dental work! He recently had 3 teeth extracted by Dr. Forfar. The staff of wonderful! The assistants made him feel so comfortable and at ease. He had nothing but great things to say about them. And Dr. Forfar is a magical oral surgeon. He got those 3 teeth out and sutured in under 45 minutes. The first day my husband had some pain, but the meds kept it at bag. Day two he felt great! He will definitely go back to Dr Forfar and Associates if he needs oral surgery in the future!

When I woke up I was completely numb. The whole surgery took under an hour. I put new gauze 2 hrs after the surgery. I was still numb at this point so I had a hard time swallowing but I managed to take the medication for swelling around 1:00. Through the day I was taking hydrocodone for pain which helped IMMENSELY. Dr, Forfar ASSAULTED me in his dental chair because I complained about being too sore and swollen after 4 days of a wisdom tooth removal. He yelled at me for coming in and then put some gauze in my mouth with some medicine. Then he jammed his tool into my tooth hole and my pain went from 4 to an 11. Yes 11. Beyond the pain scale. He never checked on me and then left, leaving his assistant to help me. She had to help me get to the front desk. I had to go back in 2 days for removal. I asked if Dr. Jekyll or Mr. Hyde was in and she didn't get it, said only one doctor works here. He offered to apply medicine again and I refused treatment. He asked you don't want this medicine and I told him no and left. I am a 60 y/old male who has never been in this much pain when he ASSAULTED me. Do not use this monster. I dare you to respond to this you creep. I am filing a complaint with the state of Illinois.

So...you're reading Google reviews of Dr. Forfar to help you decide if he's the right oral surgeon for you. I say this without reservation: he is the right one. I've had Dr. Forfar do three implants and I would never consider going to anyone else. His work is superior, he's efficient (and on time!), and the post-surgery care is the best. I have complete confidence that if the work is done by Dr. Forfar, I'll have the outcome I'm looking for. And I'm sure you're hoping to find out if the assistants and office staff are top-notch. Yep, they are! I can't even think of a complaint. How cool is that?

First thing first, my last dentist visit was probably over ten years ago and it was not pleasant. The dentist was straight from Soviet Russia (literally) she used some of the most archaic and downright torturous tools and had absolutely no bedside or in this case chair side manor. I had a wisdom tooth that has been bothering me for a few years and it hit the fan and I finally went it. I selected Forfar from a co-workers experience. I gave them a call and explained what was going on and they got me in the next day. Now I'm a big dude which for me translates not to being overly macho but into a giant baby. I think at one point I turned white out of sheer fear. There was a nurse there named Shelly. Talk about someone you will never forget. I don't think I have ever met someone so nice and genuinely willing to help get someone through what could have been a traumatic experience. She was awesome no two ways about it. She was comforting before the tooth pulling and her kind words of encouragement throughout the process made it painless. If every nurse had just an ounce of her care and compassion the world would be a much better place! Rock on Shelly seriously thank you for getting me through what could have been a very negative experience.

We are only providing one star because there's no way to select 0. I have medical professionals in my family who would be appalled by the level of rudeness and unprofessional behavior displayed by this office. I regret I was not able to join my daughter for her oral surgery but the experience my wife and family had to undergo was nothing short of disgraceful. The office manager was insensitive with a very simple request my wife made to be present while my minor daughter was having oral surgery. Even if the request could not be accommodated the way in which the office manager addressed my wife was just rude and disrespectful. Then to literally add Insult to injury the dentist doubled down on the rudeness and attempted to intimidate my wife by his expressions. Not only will we not recommend and or use Dr. Forfar again, but we will also be filing a complaint regarding the way my family was treated. I usually give the benefit of the doubt to small businesses as I'm an advocate for small business in our state and in the city of Chicago, however the way these individuals treated my family is really disappointing and needs to be addressed.

I felt like the doctor was Somewhat Rude and my concerns were overlooked as far as how much pain I am still in 2weeks later....I'm currently in the ER as I type with horrible pain

I went to Forfar associates to have an implant done. Location is at my upper left, second last tooth. The implant was perfectly done, now looking great and comfortable. Overall the responses and suggestions from the Doctor and Staff was good.

If you are looking for a trusted and skilled oral surgeon to take great care of your teeth & mouth, look no further and go with Dr. Forfar. He has performed oral surgery on myself and my children. Dr. Forfar is thorough and meticulous, and walks you through the process, follow-up, and care. Additionally, the entire team at his office is top-notch. They are friendly, conscientious, and professional. Everyone in this office takes the pain out of surgery & makes it a pleasurable experience!

Called on a Monday morning was in pain and needed to remove an infected tooth. They took me in that morning. These guys were amazing. The whole team from new patient intake folks to Dr.Forfar and his post op team. If I have to get oral surgery these guys would be the one. One of the better oral surgeons in the schaumburg area.

My experience here was the best. I was nervous prior to my appointment, knowing full well that this was going to be painful. To the time I walked in, pleasant and friendly greeting to the time I left, feeling excited that my wisdom tooth was pulled quickly and remarkably painless. The nurse who took me back for the extraction was wonderful. She had put my mind at ease and explained how it was going to go, post wise and answered all my questions. Then the surgeon came in with great enthusiasm and high spirits saying I was going sail through this extraction. He was absolutely right. First and second shot, painless. Third shot a little pinch. The whole time the surgeon and nurse were talking to me making sure I was ok. Then before you know it within seconds my wisdom tooth was out without any pain. I couldn't believe it, it was done. I totally recommend him, quick and painless. Awesome dental experience!!

Could not have been happier with my experience here! They're on top of their work, super organized, the staff made me feel comfortable, and they made the entire process super easy. I was made aware that the original owner/main surgeon wasn't in control of this office for a year and the place went downhill but I truly believe that since he's back, the office is back in great shape! My sister also went here a year before the main surgeon wasn't there and she also had an amazing experience.
