Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are designed for you to receive care thats both safe and comfortable.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies to stay up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that is issued.

Dr. Knorr earned his dental degree from the University of Minnesota Dental School in 2006, graduating with distinction. He then completed a general proactive residency at Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Knorr is highly skilled and specializes in providing a wide range of dental services, including cosmetic and restorative dentistry, endodontics, oral surgery, pediatrics, periodontics, prosthodontics and implants.

While still attending dental school, Dr. Knorr received numerous awards, including the Hinman Student Research Award, the J. Gill Award for Clinical Prosthodontics as well as recognition from the Minnesota Association of Periodontists.

A strong believer in education, Dr. Knorr prides himself in keeping up with the latest advancements in dentistry by continuing to increase his knowledge and skills, allowing him to offer his patients the most up-to-date and effective dental treatment available. He also keeps current with the latest implant techniques and uses state-of-the-art technology for comfortable and efficient treatment.

Outside the practice, Dr. Knorr actively gives back to the community. He opened a community clinic in Arlington, Minnesota to assist those in need of medical assistance. He and his wife, Jessica, a practicing Orthodontist, recently founded the Lauren Emily/Forever Smiles Community Fund in memory of their daughter who passed away in 2015. As a means of paying back the community for the support they received during a difficult time, each month they award a local group with funds that go toward a special cause being supported. He also loves spending time with his three daughters.

When you arrive for your new patient exam, you will first be greeted by our friendly receptionist. If you have not already filled out your new patient questionnaire, she will provide you with the necessary forms to fill out.

Forever Smiles is known for our warm, friendly and competent care. Dr. Knorr and our staff have many ways to make your visits as comfortable as possible. Dr. Knorr always takes the time to explain your treatment and answer any questions so you are well informed at all times.

We provide comprehensive and thorough gum disease diagnosis and treatment. We treat this using ultrasonic scalers to clean above and below the gumline. The scalers also smooth the tooth roots so bacteria cannot easily re-attach and the gums can heal. In some cases, we prescribe antibiotics to ensure the gum tissue fully heals.

Our goal is to keep your dental treatment to a minimum by helping you prevent problems from occurring in the first place. Routine checkups and thorough, yet gentle teeth cleaning by our experienced hygienists are the key.

When needed, Dr. Knorr uses bone grafting to restore lost bone so that dental implants can be stably placed. He is experienced at bone augmentation and grafting for dental implants, including socket preservation after a tooth is extracted.

At Forever Smiles, we will do everything we can to help you preserve your healthy and natural teeth as long as possible. However, if you do need to get a tooth removed, Dr. Knorr is experienced in performing gentle tooth extractions. He explains the procedure ahead of time so that you know what to expect and he and his staff will keep you comfortable during the procedure.

Dr. Knorr will also gently extract wisdom teeth that may need to be removed to avoid overcrowding or damage to the jaw or surrounding teeth. Using the state-of-the-art cone beam 3D CT scanner allows Dr. Knorr to carefully plan your wisdom tooth extraction so that it is as gentle, precise and minimally invasive as possible.

TMJ problems can be caused by injuries, a poor bite, stress or by teeth clenching and grinding (such as during sleep). Dr. Knorr offers effective treatment to alleviate TMJ pain and permanently correct the bite problems causing it.

Sleep apnea is a condition in which a person's breathing pauses frequently during sleep, often without their knowledge. In most cases, sleep apnea can effectively be treated with the use of an oral appliance, a mouthguard-like device that keeps the airways open while the patient sleeps. Dr. Knorr is experienced in oral appliance therapy and has helped many patients improve their sleep and health, using the SomnoMed oral appliance.
