Forestream Dental, LLC - General dentist in Depew, NY

Forestream Dental is located on Transit Road in Lancaster, Forestream Dental is led by cosmetic dentist Dr. Larry Evola, the only dentist in Western New York who has completed years of rigorous specialized training in cosmetic dentistry at the renowned Las Vegas Institute (LVI). Dr. Evola transforms peoples smiles every day, viewing his work as nothing less than an art form.

'Creating a custom smile takes an advanced skill level,' Dr. Evola explains. 'No smile is one-size-fits all.' Besides performing the standard procedures of a general dentist from fillings and cleanings to root canals and dental bridges he is also a graduate of the New York University College of Dentistry and Colgate University. Unlike many general dentists, however, Dr. Evola has also completed a wide range of advanced training classes at LVI that focus exclusively on cosmetic dentistry techniques.

As Dr. Evola points out, any dentist can call themselves a cosmetic dentist, but cosmetic dentistry is not taught at regular dental schools it requires post-graduate training in the area of dental aesthetics. An LVI student since 1999, Dr. Evola was recently asked to become an instructor at the institute, and now teaches there for several weeks every year.

Dr. Evolas high level of expertise is clear to his patients. 'I wanted my teeth to look better, and Id been to one other dentist,' said patient Sally Stroka. 'I came to Dr. Evola for a second opinion. He listened to what I wanted and explained all of my options very clearly. He even gave me some options that I didnt know were available.'

Dr. Evola and his team go to great lengths to help patients understand every optionavailable to enhance their smile. Designing a smile that you will love to see every morning and show off every day is a point of pride for Dr. Evola. 'Whether its a simple teeth whitening procedure or a full mouth restoration, we put a lot of planning into whatever we do for each patient,' he says.

While Dr. Evola and his team offer the most advanced cosmetic dental services in the region, their high-quality service is just as important as their technology.'Our staff loves what we do,' says Dr. Evola. 'We like working together and pampering our patients. When patients tell us that coming here isnt like going to any other dental office, we know weve succeeded, and thats our goal: to provide a total experience of care that no one else can match.'

Dr. Evola was cited for his dentistry expertise in an artcle from The Buffalo News on dentalimplants. Dr. Evola discusses the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene and the impact your oral health has on your overall health, and some new techniques and technology in dentistry.

As you prepare for the [sugar] rush of trick-or-treating each fall, Dr. Evola and his wifeprepare to handout toothbrushes to those who ring his doorbell. As featured inThe Buffalo News, Dr. Evola discusses his approach to Halloween as a professional dentist, and divulgeshow he celebrated Halloween as a kid himself.

Dr. Evola also made a spash in The Buffalo News in an article that reveals howyour oral health could be causing your sleep apnea. As a dentist who has engaged in special training for sleep apnea for over two decades, Dr. Evola has a passion for diagnosing and treating patients with this life-threatening disorder.

Dr. Evola carefully evaluated the lasers and their potential uses before bringing them into the practice. One of our main goals is treating all of our patients as we would treat our own families. And that means using the latest technology available to detect cavities early, to provide better treatment and faster healing times.

For surgical applications, the soft tissue laser is superior to conventional treatment in many ways and is sometimes called a 'bloodless scalpel'. At Forestream Dental, we use the soft tissue laser for biopsies, gum lifts and recontouring the gum line. The laser is more accurate than a scalpel, is sterile because it kills bacteria, and it leads to a faster healing time for most patients. It can also be used in the treatment of gum disease and snoring.

The DIAGNOdent laser is truly one of the most amazing technologies to come along for dentistry in quite some time. This laser is an early detector of decay and has a 93-95% success rate. If detected early enough, spots that are predicted to become cavities can be thoroughly cleaned and sealed, thus preventing a cavity and later fillings.

Any preventative work we can do now for you and your children is well worth it. If we can eliminate the need for uncomfortable fillings, why wouldn't we? The DIAGNOdent is one of the best tools we have to serve our pediatric patients.

Sleep apnea is a serious condition caused by interruptions in your breathing during sleep. When left untreated by your Buffalo dentist or another healthcare professional, sleep apnea can lead to potentially life-threatening health issues. One of the most common symptoms of sleep apnea is loud snoring.

Obstructive sleep apnea is the most common form of the disorder. It occurs when your throat muscles relax, blocking your airway during sleep. Central sleep apnea is much rarer. In central sleep apnea, your breathing is impaired because your brain does not send the proper signals to your breathing muscles during sleep. Complex sleep apnea is a combination of the other two types of sleep apnea.

More than 15 million people suffer from sleep apnea across the United States. Anyone can develop sleep apnea, although certain risk factors will predispose you to the condition. These sleep apnea risk factors include:

These, in and of themselves, are potentially life threatening and come with a host of health problems. Sleep apnea can also lead to obesity due to changes in your body when you are robbed of much needed rest. Because sleep apnea cuts off your regular breathing, your blood is starved of oxygen that your brain and heart need. Lack of oxygen to these organs releases stress hormones that can lead to high blood pressure, heart attacks, and strokes.

Snoring is caused by an obstruction to your airway when your throat muscles relax. Your throat will vibrate when struggling to breathe due to this obstruction, creating the sound you hear in snoring. While snoring is generally associated with sleep apnea, the two do not always go together. It is important to contact an experienced sleep apnea dentist if you suffer from snoring.

When your airway gets blocked, your blood will contain reduced levels of oxygen and increased levels of carbon dioxide. As a result, your brain will rouse you from sleep in order to reopen your airway. This generally happens with a snort or a gasp. These pauses in sleep prevent you from achieving the rest you need during a nights sleep. Frequently, people suffering from sleep apnea are unaware that they are awakened from sleep hundreds of times a night.

Some people can treat their sleep apnea by making minor lifestyle changes, such as losing weight, drinking or smoking less, or changing sleeping positions. For more severe cases of sleep apnea, oral appliances or continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) can help alleviate symptoms. In extreme cases, surgery may be necessary.

I switched over to Forestream and it was the best decision I've made. Great service and it was the best cleaning I've had. Very happy with my decision to pick Forestream. If you want your teeth cleaned the right way this is the place to go to. The staff was very helpful and had tons of tips for keeping my teeth clean.

I'm surprised to see negative reviews. Everyone I encountered there was above and beyond nice. Dr. Evola treated me with kindness and respect. I never felt rushed, he explains everything thoroughly and wants to see you improve.

I went to stellar dental with sensitivity in my tooth. They examined me and proceeded to tell me I needed a Root Canal. I went for a second opinion from Dr Evola. He examined me and said I had a hairline crack in the tooth. He bonded the tooth and I have been pain free for 4 years. I have been a Patient of Dr Evola's ever since. The service is Exceptional!! Thank you Dr Evola for saving me a couple thousand dollars and a unwanted surgery!! Sincerely Joseph S. DiPietro

Never go there. Tmj specialist he is NOT! Charged me THOUSANDS for a piece of plastic to protect my teeth, and several (3x a week) appts. To "cure" my tmj. After 3 months he would not book any more appts with me and receptionist hung up on me 4 times when I tried. Absolute crooks. He simply could not admit that my condition is out of his league. He absolutely should not advertise about knowing anything related to tmj!

Never again! Went there for a broken tooth, he did a crown and it will not stay on. While being worked on after it came off I was told by his assistant (who is EXTREMELY RUDE) that they should charge me hundreds more for it. So after he cauterized my gums and did all this work because the post HE made was too short it still won't stay on! Wouldn't take my dog there to get his teeth worked on.
