Dr. Timothy Ruby is originally from North Branch, Michigan. He attended college at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida, where he met his wife Rachel. He spent his summers working in Rochester Hills, Michigan, at Dentist's on Main gaining valuable experience that would carry him into his dental career. In 2001, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre Med. Upon the completion of his undergraduate degree, Dr. Ruby and his wife moved to the metro Detroit area where he attended the University of Detroit Mercy. After graduating with his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007, he returned to his wife's hometown of Winchester, Virginia, where he worked in a private practice for six years. In the fall of 2013, he moved to Ludington with his family and has been actively serving in the community.
Continuing education is an important aspect of Dr. Ruby's career. He is a regular participant at professional conferences. He has attended many classes including Spear education classes as well as classes on implant restoration and restorative design. To remain on the leading edge of dentistry, Dr. Ruby is a member of dental organizations such as the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry and the Mason-Manistee Dental Society. Dr. Ruby strives to stay at the forefront of dental education and to offer the latest technological advances in dentistry to his patients including digital X-rays and same day crowns. Dr. Ruby personally oversees every aspect of his practice to ensure compassionate, professional dental care in a relaxed environment.
Dr. Ruby enjoys spending much of his spare time with his wife Rachel and his three children, Isaac, Lauren, and Leah. He enjoys spending time in the beautiful outdoors of western Michigan. Dr. Ruby is actively involved in his church as well as in the Ludington community. He coaches soccer with the Ludington Recreational Soccer program. He is also a proud sponsor of the Ludington Baseball club and he contributed to the development of Ludington's pickleball courts.

Amber graduated from Ross Medical Education Center in 2020. She has been a dental assistant at Forest Hills Family Dentistry since 2020. She enjoys working with patients to help them achieve their dental goals and focus on their overall health. She enjoys traveling and spending time with friends and family.
Julie is a lifelong resident of Ludington and has enjoyed working in the dental profession for over 40 yrs. At the age of 16 she started working with Dr. Robert Overholt. She continued working for Dr. Scott Sitler when he took over the practice, and has remained a loyal staff member for Dr. Timothy Ruby. She and her husband of 43 year have raised 1 daughter, 1 son, and are blessed with three grandchildren. Julie enjoys walking, gardening, and spending time with family.
Alaina has been a scheduling coordinator at Forest Hills Family Dentistry since 2019. She enjoys helping patients receive the best possible dental care, and is committed to providing the best service to our patients. Alaina graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in 1999 with an office management degree. She enjoys traveling and being outdoors.
Jessica has lived in the Ludington area for over 15 years with her family. She pursued her love for teeth at Ferris State University and graduated in 2018 with her Associates in Dental Hygiene. She worked up North prior to returning to her hometown and sheis thrilled to be back serving the community. Her favorite part of being a Registered Dental Hygienist is being able to build meaningful, lasting relationships with her patients while helping them achieve and maintain good oral-systemic health. When she is not in the office she enjoys cooking and spending time with her family. She loves animals and is also a huge foodie. She enjoys trying new foods and restaurants especially when she travels. Jessica joined Forest Hills Family Dentistry as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2019 and she is thankful to be a part of such a caring team that prides themselves in providing exceptional care to their patients. She looks forward to taking care of your health and smile!
Rebecah has been a Dental Hygienist at Forest Hills Family Dentistry since 2020. She graduated from Ludington High School in 2012 and Ferris State University with her degree in Dental Hygiene in 2016. She enjoys working with her patients to ensure they are performing proper home care so that their oral health is the best that it can be. She enjoys expanding her knowledge through continuing education so that her skills continue to develop. She strives to keep her patients as comfortable in the dental chair as possible while giving them the best possible care she can deliver. She has participated in a dental missions trip to Guyana South America to deliver dental care to the people of Guyana and hopes to return one day to do more for them. Rebecah enjoys spending time with her family on the weekends. She also enjoys traveling and hopes to get many more stamps on her passport in years to come.

In the last 50 years plus I have been in many different dental offices. Most all of them have had friendly, highly professional, and competent staff members. I want to start by stating that the friendliness, professionalism, and competence of Forest Hills Dentistry is second to none! While on vacation in Ludington, on a Saturday night, a crown came off one of my molar implants. First thing Monday morning I called Forest Hills Family Dentistry. Julie answered the phone and was empathetic to my situation. She seemed genuinely sad that the earliest she could get me in was Wednesday. So we set up an appointment for that day. Five minutes after our conversation ended, Julie called me back and let me know that I they could see me in one hour! She then immediately emailed me all the new patient forms and I was able to finish them before my appointment. When I arrived I was greeted by Raelyn who finalized my paperwork in a professional and friendly manner. I was called back by dental assistant Cady. She thoroughly explained everything that was going on and constantly checked on whether I was comfortable. Even though my appointment was booked at the last minute, with amount of time Cady spent with me, it felt like she had been planning for my appointment for days. Dr. Ruby was just as friendly as everyone else. Rather than just replacing the crown he determined that he needed to remove some extra gum tissue in order for the crown to fit properly. So he spent a considerable amount of time making that adjustment. It has now been over three weeks since Dr. Ruby replaced my crown and it still seems to be as good as new. If the people in this facility treated me this well, a person who they know is unlikely to become a regular patient, just imagine how well they treat their regular patients!

Very friendly and caring. I have a cracked tooth and everyone was very caring and helpful. The Dentist himself explained everything in detail and in normal language that was easy to understand. Also he listens to his patients. The tooth that is cracked has a filling in it and the Crack goes under the filling. He mentioned taking the filling out to see how bad the Crack is and maybe doing a root canal. I said no to both, just pull it out. I am a clencher and really bad grinder so it's just best to pull it. So happy to be a patient here.

I went in due to a dental emergency with new crown concerns done by my much loved out of town dentist. This appointment was generated in a timely fashion due to a pain factor. In less than 24 hours! I was greeted warmly by the staff who seem too radiate a love for their positions. Dr Ruby listened intently to my concerns and symptoms and utilized a well honed patient skill set in dealing with me having a long-standing fear of dental work. His diagnostic skills were patient centered and was much appreciated and recognized as a trust building factor in my decision to move forward and transfer my family into this practice.

Dr. Ruby and his team are the BEST! My hygienist, Jessica, is fantastic! She is energetic, friendly, and kind. Above all, she is very gentle and thorough in her technique as well as informative about what she's doing. I appreciate everything Dr. Ruby and his team do to help me keep my teeth healthy.
