Ever since I was a young girl, I have wanted to be a dentist. In a bicycle accident, I broke my front tooth. That night when my dentist repaired my broken smile, he was my hero and my career path was set. The only other career that I ever considered was princess; a job that I still think I am qualified to do.
I was a 1995 graduate of Clarion-Goldfield High School and 1999 Biology major at Buena Vista University. As a third year student at BVU, I was fortunate enough to be accepted on early admission to the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry, Doctor of Dental Surgery program. Upon receiving my Doctorate degree in 2002, I purchased the dental practice of Dr. R.W. Hynes in Forest City.
In 2013 our son, Monroe Leonard (Leo), was eager to join our family, arriving 2 months early weighing 3 lbs. 3 oz. Knowing Leo today you would never guess he was a preemie. He spends his days at HFLC learning & playing.
My husband, Dustin, is a full-time student at Waldorf University, studying Criminal Justice. He is also a police reserve for the City of Forest City. As a family, we enjoy attending Sullys various sporting events and enjoying time at Clear Lake.
Personally, I love attending dental continuing education. In the ever changing field of dentistry, I want to be able to serve my patients with the best technology and most current education available. I am currently working to earn Mastership status in the AGD, which constitutes 1100 hours of continuing education with a majority being hands on learning.

I would give this place more stars if I could. Today I got my 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Laila. Everything was so quick and easy. By now the anesthesia is all gone and it barely even hurts. She's awesome, her assistants and both of the receptionists too (they did everything they could to answer all of my questions, which I appreciate so much). Affordable prices, almost no waiting time and great service!

I was more than pleased with my experience. I know some people "dread" the dentist office, but they made it a fun and comforting environment. The ladies working the front office are top notch, as well as the hygienists, and Dr. Laila.

This is a great dental office. All of the employees are friendly and knowledgeable. I've learned so much from my hygienist, Karla. With her help my dental health has massively improved. This is my dentist while I'm in Forest City.

I have been a patient of Dr. Laila for a long time. The service I get from her and her staff has always been excellent. Even when I needed to have teeth pulled, Dr. Laila took great care of me. My hygienist, Karla, is always pleasant and thorough, and I love how my teeth feel after a routine cleaning. If you're looking for a place to put a smile on your face, Forest City Family Dentistry is the place for you!
