Dr. Ford is passionate about educating the community and other doctors about dental health. He has given the grand rounds lecture at Long Beach Memorial Hospital which stressed the importance of oral health and overall health and spoke on behalf of the California Dental Association at the CADP convention. He has served as president of the Huntington Beach Kiwanis and volunteered his time doing dental clinics at orphanages in Les Ceyes, Haiti. Along with continuing his postgraduate education and advancing his understanding of dentistry he is also an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Jonathan Ford is an avid sports fan and enjoys running in his free time. Dr. Jonathan has completed two half marathons as well as one full marathon. He also enjoys spending free time with his family wife, Nadiah and daughter, Emmah.
Dr. Kao approach is simple; I treat people how he would like to be treated. That means knowing that my doctor really cares and looks out for my best interest. He focuses his treatment on you as an individual, and not just on the dental problem. As part of his approach to dental care, Dr. Kao takes into account each patients individual needs and concerns. Dr Kaos treatments are specifically tailored to provide lasting health benefits.
He is also a faculty member at the UCLA School of Dentistry, participant of Help the Children, and a member of The American Academy of Periodontology, The American Board of Periodontology, California Dental Association, and Los Angeles Dental Society. Aside from dentistry, Dr. Kao enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two kids. As a new father, he now has an excuse to act like a child, much to the chagrin of his wife.
She provides general and cosmetic dentistry using modern technology. She is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society, which allows her to keep up with the latest advances in dentistry. Her philosophy is to treat patients like family, while offering advanced dentistry in a relaxed and caring environment. She has a gentle touch and respects her patients time. Whatever she can do to make your visit more comfortable and give you a healthy and attractive smile, she will strive to make it happen.

I was looking for a new dentist, and a friend recommended Ford Dental. The receptionist are very friendly and very attentive, the hygienist is wonderful I had my teeth cleaned by Judy she is very gentle and very caring. Dr Ford is wonderful

I drive an hour from LA to get my dental work done at Ford dental! It's worth it for me because everyone is friendly, professional, and good at what they do. It's never uncomfortable. The staff is so friendly and nice. It doesn't feel like a sterile dentist's office, it's actually quite a fun and lively environment. Highly recommend!

I always value good customer service and when I receive stellar service, I give credit to where it is due. And I do just the same whenever I receive bad customer service. I don't let it go unnoticed. I'm a paying client after all. It's just unfortunate that I'm one of the few that received terrible customer service from the billing dept. But before I go any further just want to say thank you to the staff that made my visit worthwhile. The front receptionist/staff (Diana & Michelle) who were both pleasant in the office, received my phone calls and attended to my inquiries in the most PROFESSIONAL and friendly way. Dee was also a great hygienist. She was very personable and took great care of me. Dr.Safi had a great bedside manner and was friendly, so was her assistant :) Also may I note that this dental office has really modern technology (a little on the pricy side) but dental work is definitely up to par so I'm not totally crossing them off. BUT I'm leaving this business a 2 star review because after my dental work and we get to sorting what's owed, the billing dept (Kristie) wasn't exactly the friendliest. Her attitude could use a little tweaking. I would not get into details of what I experienced but let me tell you that they have little to NO patience in addressing and answering billing questions. Snarky would be an understatement.

They say first impressions last a long time; well I gotta say I was very impressed with the way I was treated at Ford Dental. Entire staff was very professional and friendly. Props to Judy, the dental hygienist, awesome!! Heading in next week for a couple of crowns.

This was my first visit to a new dentist. Dr. Ford's office was recommended to me by someone in my neighborhood app when I asked for a dentist that kept up with technology and was also a good dentist. Dr. Ford is just that. I was pleasantly greeted and quickly checked in by the front desk staff. I was then taken back timely, teeth cleaned, xrays and scans done. During each procedure, I was asked how I was doing and they made be quite comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Ford's dental group.

We have been patients of the Ford Dental Group for more than 25 years. My wife and I, as well as several family members, have always experienced the highest level of dental care from Dr. Ford and his staff. First off, the office staff warrants special recognition. They have always been very accommodating, professional, cordial, and helpful. This week I had scheduled to have a crown procedure done. I have been apprehensive about this done for some time. Dr. Ford did an amazing job. I experienced very little if any, discomfort and Dr. Ford was able to match the crown to my existing teeth perfectly. It was a true combination of dentistry and art. A special shout-out goes to Andre who assisted Dr. Ford and made the entire process better than I could have expected. Thank you to all at Ford Dental Group for all you do.

My first visit with Dr. Ford was beyond exceptional. I have had many dentists over the years and was looking for someone really good. He takes a lot of time to explain everything and really cares about my oral health. WOW! He is so dedicated to his patients. Jen, RDH, was so gentle and committed, and the high-tech equipment they use (not just xrays) helps to really see what is going on. Linda, OM made the final part of my visit easy to understand and addressed all my questions and is what made me say 'yes' to investing into my dental treatment plan. I highy recommend this practice if you are looking for a new dentist. They will not disappoint!

I have been with Ford Dental Group for years and have always received the best of care. Jennifer, in particular, is the best hygienist I have ever had; I request her every time I go in for a cleaning. I moved away from the area and still come back to For Dental. It's worth the trip.

This was the worst Dentist ever. They steal from you; Charges are through the roof. The biggest concern is they made an appointment for me for a cleaning at the end of the year. I get 2 free cleanings. I went in at the end of December. When I finished they told me my insurance denied it because I had used my funds for other procedures during the year. DR. Ford then billed me $700 for the cleaning I had to pay out of pocket. I could have waited a few days until the new year and it would have been covered by insurance. DR.FORD is the biggest scam ever. DO NOT GO HERE. He also misplaced my implant after paying THOUSANDS for it. IT is at a weird angle. His Artistry is not good. HE is very standoffish and going here is not worth it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE
