When you first meet a new dentist, it takes a while to know and trust him. Id like to tell you more about myself so we can collapse the amount of time it takes to get to know me. Im hoping that this will help open the door to you feeling more comfortable around me so you can share your concerns with me. Then Ill be able to take better care of your teeth. Spending time on my uncles farm driving a tractor along with my cousins and four siblings in Richland, Washington, I was raised with a small town, good solid values. I am the oldest of the children in our family, and this meant to me lots of responsibility that I had to learn quickly. Part of those responsibilities has included learning how to make people feel comfortable no matter what situation they are in.

My wife was my high school sweetheart. She has been a hair stylist in North Scottsdale for the last 3 years. We dont have any children yet but our 8-year-old Chihuahua named Blitzen is our pride and joy right now. He loves to bask in the sun and bark at anything that breathes.

We love to binge watch shows, eat out at great restaurants around the valley and constantly search for new food adventures. Im also a huge video game nerd and was world ranked on Halo2 way back in the day. I still play video games but wake surfing in the summer and snowboarding in the winter gives me a lot of pleasure. I stay in shape by hiking.

My bachelors degree in Biology was from Central Washington University and my Masters degree was in Biomedical Science at Midwestern University in Glendale AZ. I continued there after the Masters degree for my Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. It was at Midwestern University that I was introduced to all aspects of dentistry including implants, cosmetic dentistry, digital dentistry and full mouth reconstructions and my love for dentistry was awakened to a high level.

Dentistry is one of those professions where you have to stay up-to-date. I am always actively involved in dental study groups about the latest advancements in dentistry with my colleagues and attend CEs to constantly discover more and more new techniques that can save my patients money and prevent pain and suffering.

Helping my patients reach a level of comfort is one of my big goals. Eliminating the anxiety they feel at the dentists office and having a calm experience is what I hope to bring to every patient. Because of the strong connection between oral health and systemic health, I always seek to inform my patients about this so they can use it to their advantage to reach their goals of overall health and happiness. The ability to boost someones confidence with that perfect smile is another satisfying aspect of dentistry that I love to provide.

We discuss the hows and whys of prevention so they can make the proper decisions and take the right actions to prevent dental disasters. Its my job to provide this education to my patients. I love all my patients and want to do whats right by them as well as their mouth!

Heres a little about my background. We might have quite a bit in common! Ive been married for 7 years and have known my husband, my rock and best friend, since I was 13. I have three children, one grandchild and 2 dogs. My daughter is 26 and is married with a 2-year-old beautiful little girl. She is my world and always puts a smile on my face. Our two sons are 21 and 13. Our family is very close knit, and we love to spend quality time together.

I was born and raised in Arizona. My teen years were spent in a small town called Bisbee where theres not much to do there except hang out, hike and stay out of trouble. I still hike, travel, and love to read (relaxes and clears my mind). We love going to Sedona and National parks to hike and take photos. As soon as I graduated from high school, I moved to Sierra Vista where I got into the medical field for 5 years and then moved on to dental. I started at the bottom and within 3-4 years had moved up to management. Ive been in the dental field now for 17 years. I have some college background as well.

Seeing a patient come in unhappy with their smile and finding ways for them to get the smile they want and deserve, and be confident in their smile is important and something I love doing. I feel great doing this. Another favorite thing is working with patients to overcome their fear of the dentist. For both of these, listening is the main key. Im a very good listener. But I also am great at identifying when someone needs an explanation or two, and I have pictures and a step-by-step process ready to go when that is needed.

Hi Im an Arizona native! I grew up in Tucson and moved to Phoenix for Dental Hygiene school in 1999. I have been a Hygienist since 2001 and before that was a dental assistant for 2 years. I always have loved going to the dentist! I had pleasant experiences every time and wanted to provide the same experience to my patients. My first (and only!) cavity wasnt until my mid-30s.

My favorite part of helping patients would be seeing positive changes that can help out not only their teeth and gums but also their entire bodies and lives! Changing a patients perception of dental care to a good experience that they look forward to makes me happy. I like when they want to tell their friends and family about their pleasant experience. I want them to have not only a extraordinary experience but also a relaxed and friendly visit, where they experience how much we not only care for them and their oral needs but also each person as an individual.

Hi Im Gina, the Dental Hygienist of Ford Calaway Dental. Im the oldest of four.When I was 20, after I graduated early from high school I moved to Arizona. I was going to be an attorney but then I had a dream that told me I was supposed to go into dentistry so I followed it and couldnt be happier with my choice. Divine intervention at its finest!

I live for dentistry, its my life. I truly love Being a hygienist. When you work with a great team its like they become your work family and patients become friends. when you work with great people being a hygienist doesnt feel like work. It makes me feel good. I love seeing the transformation with people whether its their health transformation or interpersonal transformation from being scared or apprehensive about going to the dentist and then looking forward to coming in.

I listen to what is important to them and what their motivation is and then go off that and make it pertain to them. Dentistry is not a one size fits all. We are all different and all have different needs.

Im a perfectionist. I treat all procedures as if it were treatment on my own teeth. And most importantly I never forget what it feels like being on the other side of the chair, and that it requires trust, and I dont take that for granted.

I lived in the state of Washington for 6 years and moved back to Arizona 4 years ago. I have a big nurturing personality; it helps in this profession. I have 3 daughters, 2 beautiful human girls; ages 9 and 11 and my 3 year old American Pitbull Terrier. Ive been married for almost 12 years to my wonderful husband. Heres a little about my background: I received my associates degree at Glendale Community College a while ago and am still enrolled in the college for Esthetics. Ive been Patient Coordinator for the past three years here at our office.

While growing up, my personal experience going to the dental office was not always great. I totally understand how someone can have anxiety at their dental visit. I personally have Invisalign and can help patients allay all their fears about braces and to explain the process in depth to even a child.

I learned how to get along with people as a child. Im the youngest in my family and have 8 siblings. Our family is close and we spend weekends with my family and love BBQs. Im married to a wonderful man and actually, it was his mother who came to me with a job offer two years ago for Patient Coordinator. She saw in me that I had all the necessary personality traits that would help insure success in this job.

I enjoy the outdoors. I love hiking and watching the beautiful sunsets here in Arizona. I also enjoy working out, cooking and shopping. What girl doesnt love shopping? My husband and I enjoy traveling and trying new foods.
