Michael grew up in Minneapolis with nine siblings, and graduated from St. Thomas Academy High School. After completinghis Doctorate in Dental Surgery in Nebraska, he moved back to Minneapolis to practice dentistry. He has been in practice since 1986. Dr. Mike lives in St. Paulwith his wife, Dawn, daughter, Kaia, and son, Christian. Their daughter Sadie is a financial analyst for Medtronic. He enjoys spending time with his family, triathlons, marathons, reading and educating his patients each day. His patients are his family!
Janegraduated from the U of MN with a Bachelors of Science in 1988. Shesbeen a dental hygienist since 1984, and started working with Dr. Forbes in 2011. The friendly, warm and uplifting atmosphere at Forbes Dental Care is why she enjoys coming to work.
Jane residesin Andover with her husband Mitch and golden retriever Macy. They have two grown children. Their daughter, Malorie (RN) and husband Ryan (Master Electrician) were recently married. Their son Charlie (Commodity Trader) and his wife Nicole (RN) have two children, Leah and Chloe.
Angela graduated from Argosy with an Associates Degree in 2005. Shes been a dental hygienist ever since. Herfirst position out of college was at Forbes Dental Care. Angela lovesher job andco-workers, which are like a second family to her. She knowsthey care about her and the patients they treat each day.
Jengraduated from Mankato State University with an Associates Degree in 1993. She has been in the dental field for 24 years. Jen joined Forbes Dental Care 4 years ago after working with the same doctor for 20 years until his retirement. Jen loves meeting new patients and finding a connection with each person she sees. She also feels fortunate to be working with such a great staff, and with Dr. Forbes who is a wonderful clinician and a great guy!
Providing my patients with a thorough, but gentle dental experience is important to me. I love leaving them with that super clean feeling and educating them on all aspects of preventative oral hygiene.
Jen and her husband, Todd, have been married for 20 years and reside in Ham Lake with their children Mitch and Sydney. In the winter they love to snowmobile as a family. During the spring and summer, you can usually find Jenon a ball field watching her son play baseball or daughter play softball.
Hopegraduated from Minneapolis Medical and Dental Careers in 1988, and has been a Dental Assistant ever since. Hope joined the Forbes Minneapolis Family Dental Care Team in 2010, and loves the cheerful work environment and great team spirit.
Hope and herhusband, Leo, reside in Brooklyn Park. Theyhave two grown children, Maggie and Jason. She enjoys quality time with herfamily, doing manyoutdoor activities with their three grandchildren, whoenjoy swimming, biking and hiking.Sheloves watchingthem grow into their own personalities!
I love the patients and getting to know them and their families! Forbes Dental Care is a friendly atmosphere and my co-workers are fun. I have great respect for Dr. Forbes and Mrs. Forbes. This is definitely a family friendly practice.
Carolslife changed in 2015 with the loss of herhusband of 49 years, Gary. She has three grown children, Jeff, Barry and Allison. Carolsfour grandchildren bring hermuch joy. Carol enjoys reading, having family Food and Card nights and shopping with hergrandchildren.
Dawn graduated from Moorhead State University in 1988 with a Bachelor of Science in education, and a minorin coaching and math. After teaching at the elementary level and working in higher education at The College of St. Catherine, Dawnleft to work with herhusband, Michael Forbes, in the dental field. Shehas been at Forbes Minneapolis Family Dental Care since 2002.
I enjoy meeting new patients and getting to know more about our current ones. Having each patient that comes through the door feel like our family is important to me. I want them to leave our office feeling understood.
Forbes Dental Care is an uplifting dental office. The staff are hard working, caring, fun and great listeners. They really enjoy their roles and want to make a difference in each patients oral health. Dawn loves that when you enter theiroffice you feel the positive energy with laughter.
Dawn and herhusband live in St. Paul with their daughter Kaia and son Christian. Their daughter Sadie lives in St. Louis Park and works for Medtronic. Reading other reviews, I concur: They treat you like family. I am biased as they are the only dentists I've gone to my whole life, but I told a coworker I liked going to the dentist and they thought I was weird. I highly recommend.

I can't write enough positive things about this dental office. All of the staff including Dr. Forbes are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. After a disappointing experience at a different office they were able to fit me in to do some work before the end of the year. Dr. Forbes is a very experienced dentist and it shows. He took great care when applying Novocain resulting in a near painless procedure. His work was also so precise that my bite was perfect after he was done. All around this was a very positive experience and I will be returning.

All of the staff here is fantastic. They are so friendly and it's clear that they honestly care about their patients. We recently moved to the south metro but will continue to drive up to Dr. Forbes' office.

We were searching for a family practice with more individual care. Dr Mike and his team are fantastic and arguably the happiest office I have ever visited. The vibrant atmosphere carries over to the treatment provided and you leave extremely satisfied with the whole process. For once I look forward to my return appointment!

I've been to a lot of dentists and by far Forbes Dental is the best. Just had three fillings and can't rave enough about how expertly they were done. The dentist and staff are gentle and thorough. Theyre careful not to pinch your lips in between your teeth and the tools, they explain everything they're doing, and they numb you enough that you don't have to keep asking for more. Highly recommend!

Forbes Dental Care is the the friendliest and best Dentist I have ever been to. They really make you feel like part of the Family. That and they are really good at what they do and everyone that works there has the mentality that 99.9% isn't good enough when taking care of their patients.
