Foothills Family Dental - General dentist in Phoenix, AZ

Dr. Jeremy Coles was born and raised in Tri-Cities, WA. After graduating from Hanford High School in 2001, Dr. Coles left Eastern Washington to pursue undergraduate studies at the University of Washington, in Seattle. In 2005, he graduated with a degree in Economics. Initially, he worked in the mortgage industry and found the most rewarding part of his job was working with and helping families. While working full time, he went back to college to fulfill coursework requirements in preparation for applying to dental school.

Dr. Coles, through a rigorous and technically advanced curriculum at Midwestern, and in conjunction with continuing education, is highly skilled in cutting-edge treatment options. These include complex restorative treatment, implant restorations, Invisalign, and the latest in Cosmetic Dentistry. He understands that dental procedures such as these can be anxiety-provoking for most people. As such, he combines his dental expertise with his empathetic approach to patient care to relieve stress associated with such treatments.

Dr. Coles spends his free time enjoying all that Ahwatukee has to offer. He especially enjoys trying new restaurants around the valley. Being from Eastern WA, he finds the desert climate and a tight-knit community of Ahwatukee to be familiar attributes. Newly married, he and his wife Beatrixia, who on occasion joins the front staff, are excited to begin their next chapter together at Foothills Family Dental. We hope to welcome you to our office soon!

Update: 5-stars! I got a temporary crown and later a permanent and my experience was great. Dr Coles is great - excellent "bedside" manner, calm and easy going and I enjoy talking with him. His interactions with hygienists and office staff was equally professional and despite it being a busy day, everything went smoothly. Everyone was also patient with the bite adjustments I needed for my new crown and my experience was cheery and fun. Waiting area is clean and pleasant, work areas are comfortable. The only observation I have is my area seemed like it needed a good cleaning. To be clear, it was _not_ dirty -- I have an eye for detail so I what I noticed is a couple of surfaces around my chair could use more attention than they got before I arrived. Having said that, I've worked in operating rooms and have experience with how to keep things sterile and avoid cross-contamination, so my observation is that my area was clean and equipment was prepared and laid out to keep things sterile, and, a surface or two (e.g. light) did get wiped down but could use a little more. So I am happy to update my review to 5 stars. ---------- Wife signed me up for a post-pandemic cleaning (it had been a while) and so I arrived to a clean relaxing waiting area and was greeted pleasantly by reception. I filled out my docs using an iPad which was easy and was called in thereafter. Space and equipment looked clean and I immediately clicked with my hygienist's personality who set me at ease and was knowledgeable about the updated X-ray equipment. She used a neat camera to take before pics and to discuss cleaning service options. I selected and off she went. I'm not afraid of the dentist and despite the more aggressive cleaning option, I always felt I was in good hands. Once completed the after pics were taken and I was super pleased with her work. I met the dentist and we discussed a treatment plan (I have a broken crown, a chipped tooth and needed a filling and an implant). A cleaning is one thing but oral surgery is another so I asked my questions and I liked the answers. Never once did I feel pressured into doing anything I wasn't comfortable with and my concerns were met with appropriate responses or options for how to make things work for me (schedule, cost, recovery time, convenience, etc). Dentist also complimented the work of my previous caregiver and had similar modern equipment to perform the needed tasks. All-in-all, a solid positive experience delivered with calm and confidence. I am booked for a follow up cleaning and I am awaiting insurance approval of my treatment plan. 4 stars -- only because it's premature to give 5 stars from just a cleaning visit.

I've been in a few times now and everyone has been so nice and helpful. The Dr took me in quickly when I had tooth pain. Dr Coles is great, he's thorough and takes the time to answer all of my questions. The receptionist is friendly and knowledgeable, she helped me schedule out my appointments so that I would get the most value from my insurance this year and then scheduled the rest for next year when my benefits would regenerate.

I was terrified and extremely nervous to see the dentist today but the people at this office were extremely friendly and helpful and it was much less scary than I envisioned! It was a very nice office and I felt comfortable during my appointment. I couldn't have asked for anything more and I really appreciated the hygienist and doctors time and advice. I will be back again and would highly recommend if in need of dental care.

Best dental experience I've ever had. No pain, relaxing environment and a Dentist with a REAL personality. No stuffy attitude or making you feel like you're just another dollar sign. There was no up-sell pressure and the staff is friendly and professional as well. I also trust him with my 13 year old's dental care and that's saying A LOT for me.

Great experience always at foothills family dental. My 3 year old son had to come with me to my last appointment and the staff was absolutely the sweetest with him. Thanks for helping my son preform surgery on his skateboard!
