Dr. Tyson was born in Washington and raised here in Idaho Falls. He graduated from ISU and earned his DMD at the University of Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania. He has received training in oral surgery, prosthodontics, pediatrics and endodontics. During dental school, Dr. Tyson served in numerous community outreach programs at public health clinics and participated in the annual give kids a smile day at his school. He was an active member of the Spanish dental club at his school. Dr. Tyson is passionate about dentistry and quality care for his patients and is always seeking to increase his knowledge by staying current on dental topics, procedures and equipment through continuing education.
Since graduation, Dr. Tyson has become a member of the American Dental Association. He is an eagle scout and actively serves in the Boy Scouts of America. He is married to his high school sweetheart Rachelle and they havetwo children. In his spare time he likes to spend time with his wife and son, play golf whenever possible and go duck hunting.
Dr. Joshua Reid Bell goes by Dr. Reid in the office to help our staff and patients differentiate him from his brother and partner Dr. Bell. Dr. Reid was born and raised here in Idaho Falls. He attended Idaho State University on a full ride academic scholarship before moving on to earn his DMD from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio. Continuing education is something that Dr. Reid regularly and consistently stays on top of.
Since graduation, Dr. Reid has become a respected member of the American Dental Association and he also is a member of the Idaho State Dental Association. He has earned privileges at Mountain View Hospital where he does hospital dentistry on children and handicapped adults. Dr. Reid also serves as a member of the Credentialing Committee at Mountain View. During the time he has been in practice Dr. Reid has become certified in Lumineers, and CEREC.
Dr. Reid married his high school sweetheart and they have six children together. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, woodworking, snowboarding and is always looking for another great book.

This used to be a really great dentist. Since the old one retired it isn't the same. They always try to sell you something, or get you to spend more money for things such as a retainer for grinding or something else. Which is weird since the same month 3 other people I know were told they need it as well. I switched dentists and am much happier. Don't recommend.

Ridiculous that you schedule me for an appointment at 7:00AM and I can't get in after 7:00AM because you can't even unlock the doors. It was after 7:00AM! No problem. I will take my business elsewhere. My time is just as valuable as yours!

I am so disappointed in this dentist office! I have been taking my family to them for 7 years, and now because of a new "office policy" I will never go back. They care only about money, not their patients! They wouldn't let my kid's keep their appointment unless we prepaid! Who does that?! We have never had a problem with our account with them, when I said I wanted to pay at the appointment like I have for years they told me they would go ahead and cancel my kid's appointments. Too bad they had to put money ahead of patient care.

This office is the best! They are so kind to their patients and understanding with toddlers. They always take care of us. The hygienists and doctors are very kind. Would highly recommend.

Worst dentistry me and my wife have ever gone to. If you want teeth pain and added expenses then this is the place for you. I personally would never recommend this place.

The ladies in this office are the best influences in the world, they cheered me on for paying for my own cavity fillings like an adult for the first time. $300 is still a lot to me but it's a whole lot cheaper than $1,500 without my parents insurance, and their the ones who helped me to understand that. Then when I was worried about one of my fillings I went back in and Dr.Bell explained EVERYTHING to me in the most understanding and simplest way that I'll always know what heathy teeth look like. Dr. Bell is an amazing doctor and even better person who has the best staff working for him.

Given my work and business with Foothills is now completed, I can write such a review. First off I had extensive work done at Foothills, however upon getting a second opinion after it was done was found to be flawed. An upper front tooth they removed for me they forgot(yea right) to remove the roots tips. Now I get to have another surgery to have their work broken back open so that a far better provider can finish what they didn't. You are always rushed by them, and they constantly do shoddy work or incomplete work.The front office staff is a literal joke. I used to different insurances to cover having some of my teeth removed and a partial denture made. I was told I still owed money on the day of surgery and when speaking to my wife on if I should pull from my retirement account was laughed at and shunned by the front office staff. Even asked to work with one specific individual and they shunned me for that to. Lets not even mention(I will mention it) on how tjeu sent my mold for the partial denture to the lab and they got a denture back with no teeth on it? Was given nothing in the form of we are sorry, or a compensatory credit to the account for the inconvenience. Just got a pay us more line, which I refused. Was actually asked to leave the premises even when I did nothing wrong and just asked for the product and services I paid for. I even called my dental insurance as Foothills tried to tag me with ghost charges. Once that call happened, was when the office manager called me and said thay everything was paid. Nothing but a house of crooks and losers who have no idea of what kindness and professionalism are. Dr. Bell was great however is always rushed and stuck being guided by office staff who truthfully are beyond rude and inconsiderate. Just go to Oxford Dental, you won't be upset that you did. As Foothills was once an amazing place however now it's just a thieves den. So glad I switched dental providers as I hate dentists and Foothills made me feel as if I was the one who was servicing them and as if I was being robbed at dental tool point.

I've had a great experience with Dr. Bell doing preventative care and invisible aligners, and give his office 5 stars for my experience. However, my husband had tooth extraction under anesthesia and trying to get things scheduled was difficult. Communication after surgery as far as after care, expectations of healing progression or even follow up has been non existent. We are hopeful to get more information when he can speak without pain, but even finding a email address for him to communicate with them has been hard to pinpoint. Communication needs improvement

My experience at Foothills Dental has been nothing but great. Shannon who has cleaned my teeth the few times I was there was amazing. I've had experiences at other dentists which would normally make me shy away from coming back but Shannon made such an experience where I do like coming back for my cleanings and dental work.

I have been taking my kids here for 14 years, with one child needing the hospital sedation in the beginning, whon longer requires the sedation. I would trust my kids with no other dentist. These folks are amazing, I had four teeth removed today and they did such a good job a needed no pain relievers after the numbness wore off. Thank you Foothills Dental!!!
