The team at Foothill Family Dentistry believe in the importance of preventative care. We focus on keeping patients in good oral health so that they can live a full, healthy, and enjoyable life that is free from oral pain. This starts by educating our patients on what they can do to stay healthy at home. In our family dentist office we recommend that patients eat a healthy diet that consists of green leafy vegetables, lean protein, nuts, dairy products, and crunchy fruits and veggies. Eating these foods along with drinking water can help to keep teeth healthy and make them stronger. By simultaneously reducing sugar intake, patients can also reduce their risk of cavities.
It is also important to brush and floss throughout the day. Instead of waiting for bedtime to brush teeth, carry a small toothbrush and use it after meals and snacks. This makes it possible to remove sugar and bacteria from the teeth and gums before it has the opportunity to turn into acid that can attack the teeth. This preventative step can greatly reduce a persons' risk of getting a cavity or gum disease. We understand the importance of taking these steps at home and will spend the time necessary to educate and inform patients so that they can stay healthy overall. Education, after all, is essential for living a long and healthy life.

I went in for an emergency. Dr. Dang and his staff made the time for me to come in that very day after calling several dentists around the area whom were all unavailable. I felt very comfortable on my first visit and scheduled for another. Today, Dr. Dang did a fabulous job together with his friendly assistant. Both were very knowledgeable and caring throughout the entire process. I can't say enough about Dr. Dang! His demeanor is impressive. Dr. Dang explained every step along the way. He even helped with anxiety's that I was going through during the process. I was out of pain in no time. I highly recommend Foothill Family Dentistry on Portola as there is another dental office with a similar name on Town Center Drive. Thank you Dr. Dang!

Made an appointment for their Zoom whitening. Was called later to be told they don't do Zoom whitening anymore. The girl said they don't have the equipment to do it anymore. She said they now offer Remblant (yes, she said RembLant) instead. I'm now (months later) sitting at the restaurant next door to them. The sign says they still offer Zoom whitening. Are they an establishment people can trust? I'll let you be the judge. Let's see if they respond.

I've been going to Dr. Dang since I was a kid and every time I go it's always an amazing experience! His staff are always quick and attentive! He is very well educated and always answers my concerned questions! Dr. Dang does amazing work and I highly recommended anyone who is thinking about going to Foothill Family Dentistry! This dental place is great! The staff are nice especially the receptionist "Dawn" shes very courteous. The Dentist "Dr. Dang" was really good he got my prep me before pulling my wisdom teeth because it was infected so took antibiotics for a week after that he got my wisdom teeth pulled with little to no pain at all. Then I got my deep cleaning months after that. "Nina" the hygienist was really thorough when cleaning my teeth. It looks and feels clean. I highly recommend this office for my friends and family. Thank you guys for taking care of me.

I've been a patient of Dr. Dang's for over 15 years. Even though I live pretty far from his office, I would not think of going anywhere else. Even when I've had issues come up suddenly, he's always worked me into his schedule. I love getting my teeth cleaned by him! He's so experienced and skilled that it never hurts. Even when he gives injections for deep cleanings, I've hardly felt anything. I've had some cosmetic work done by him over the years like veneers and have been super pleased with the results. His office is very clean and cozy and he uses state of the art equipment. His staff is very nice, courteous and accommodating. He has the best personality ever and treats you like a friend rather than a patient. I definitely recommend him as a dentist to anyone.
