Our Salt Lake City dental office features the revolutionary in-office CEREC system. This allows patients to skip the multiple visits and temporary crown that is associated with a traditional dental crown.
A tooth that is weakened due to physical trauma may not take as long as a tooth affected by extensive decay. If decay has reached the inner portion of your tooth, you may require a root canal. Our dentists can perform a virtually pain-free root canal to save your tooth, but it will add some time to your office stay.
Once your tooth has been treated and prepared, your dentist will use an intraoral camera to take detailed 3D images of your teeth. This data is then transferred to the CEREC software, where a crown will be designed to perfectly fit in your smile. The digital template is then sent to our in-office milling machine which will fabricate your new crown out of a porcelain block that has been matched to your natural enamel. Depending on the type of tooth being replaced, fabrication takes four to twenty minutes.
Once both you and your dentist are happy with the fit and appearance of your new crown, it will be permanently bonded in place with dental cement. You will walk out of our office with a fully restored smile, ready to get on with your busy schedule.

We use digital impressions which provide an incredibly detailed 3D image for our dental lab to use as a template for your new crown. It also allows you to skip the mess of traditional impression material. Once completed, our dentist will place a temporary crown.
Once your permanent crown is ready, you will return to our office. Your dentist will remove your temporary crown and place your new dental restoration. Any final adjustments for fit and appearance will be made before permanently attaching it with dental cement.

Once thehealing period is complete, we can attach the abutments to the implants. This requires a second procedure in which weadminister numbing medication, make an incision in the gums, and place the abutments. This office took my insurance card before my check up then I left after my appointment and they called me after I left to tell me that they didn't take my insurance. I had to pay the full amount of my checkup because they failed to tell me before hand that they didn't take that insurance. Friendly staff but dental bills are hundreds/thousands of dollars. A mistake like that should not be acceptable and I should have been compensated.

I was told the temporary denture would be covered by my insurance but turned out it was not. not a huge deal but misleading, hence my doubt.

I called today and the receptionist hung up on me. This business is overpriced and they are extremely rude. The time before I scheduled an appointment and they didn't even have me on the schedule. Fast forward to 3 days later, they get me in for an hour after my appointment time. The company threatens to charge you if you don't cancelled 2days in advance but your time means nothing to them. When they finally got me in they couldn't even do the root canal. The doctor had left for the day and they didn't realize that is what my appointment was for. They sent me to a different office that I drove all the way there and the same story happened. This business doesn't respect their patients. Only their pocketbook.

I should have done this far sooner, and in different circumstances but I've just forgotten an appointment and feel truly terrible because Foothill Dental has the best staff and service I've ever received. They are so kind and understanding for insurance problems/questions, scheduling, and even a forgotten appt (even though they personally texted me yesterday to confirm). I am so thankful for all of their effort and have maintained great dental health thanks to them as well. Don't make my mistake and go to your appointments people! (For the record I'm leaving this review after my own reflection, FD had no influence)

I had one of the funniest interactions with the clinic, where they have overcharged us for a bill, we called and asked for a refund. The amount is tiny around 32$. They had to ask the doctor to approve the refund, which as I have been told he denied the request and only offered in clinic credit for that amount.

This was the best dental experience I have ever had. I had a lot of unfinished work from highschool, because my parents never took me in to finish. The result of them not taking me in to finish the root canals, caps, etc. Was lots of cavities, three root canals (with two needing done more than once and one being done a total of three times over my life) and lots more. I come in and they made a complete game-plan for me and got to work. They are fast, efficient and friendly. I didnt realize how much my mouth was bothering me, but I'm half way done and I don't even get headaches anymore throughout the week. My bite sits comfortably, and they always make sure to do everything right down to the T. I can't wait to finish the rest of my dental procedures here because I know they'll do them right and at a reasonable price. They try their best to fit things in to your budget and I can't thank them enough for the work they do.

Both Dr. Stohl's are phenomenal dentists--which is why I am so disappointed that their office is not disclosing information about their approach to COVID safety--in a global pandemic it is absolutely beyond reasonable to expect that your health care providers (especially ones with their face and hands in your mouth) disclose information about the commitment to patient safety including vaccinations, masks for all staff and PPE. We are so disappointed to leave Foothill Dental, but with unvaccinated kids--it's not safe to stay.

Foothill Dental is fantastic! The office has a warm and caring environment and the dental care is terrific. Rafael went the extra mile to make things happen for us before we were part of the practice and did even more throughout the course of the treatment plan. Dr. Bailey and her team were talented, thoughtful and incredibly kind. It made all the difference.

I recently moved back to SLC and visited another dentist that was not good. I went to Foothill Dental and it was an great experience. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, they offer extras like paraffin hand treatments and warm neck wraps which make the visit so much better. They even took x-rays at no charge because the other dentist took some but not the ones they needed and knew that my insurance wasn't likely to pay for them. Very professional and I felt very taken care of!! Sam was awesome and made my teeth feel great after my cleaning. I highly recommend!! I'll be returning only to this office from now on!

Don't be fooled by all the free stuff and gadgets here. Although the office is new and nice and the staff is friendly and offer free spa treatments among many other freebies they try to get as much money out of you as they can in your dental work. My husband was told he had a cavity even though he did not feel any pain prior to his 6 month checkup. He was told that if he doesn't get it filled right away the next time they will for sure do a crown. It felt pushy and suspicious not to mention expensive even with insurance, so he went to another dentist and had him do a second exam and x-rays. He was told there is absolutely no sign of a cavity and definitely no need for a crown. We couldn't believe it! They try to hook you in with all of their fluff, but then you'll be pushed into getting unnecessary dental work and wasting money.
