John F. Fonseca, DDS, earned his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Sciences from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, and his dental degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. During dental school, he was awarded a scholarship and received a commission as a Dental Officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps.
While in the US Navy, Dr. Fonseca completed a residency at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, where he made use of this opportunity to expand his skills and knowledge in advanced dental procedures. Dr. Fonseca was stationed in Japan for the remainder of his naval service before returning to private practice.
The dental field is continually evolving, and it is paramount for Dr. Fonseca always to stay up-to-date and current. He takes numerous courses and seminars each year to stay abreast of the latest dental knowledge and advances. Dr. Fonseca is particularly interested in developments in digital technology that help him deliver outstanding dental care to his patients.
Originally from Iowa and having lived in five different states, Santa Fe has become her home for more than 20 years now. Susan graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1997 with a B.S. in Dental Hygiene and is licensed to administer local anesthetics. She also possesses a Masters in Psychology as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She believes in establishing long term relationships with patients as she provides optimal oral care and necessary patient education for beautiful, healthy smiles. She loves her patients, people, and family and strives to motivate and inspire them.
Gloria graduated from the Santa Fe Community College Dental Assisting program in 2013 with high honors. She is originally from the Philippines and is fluent in 3 languages, English, Visayan, and Tagalog. Gloria moved to New Mexico in 1990, and she has been a New Mexico resident ever since. She appreciates the outdoors and is a fitness enthusiast. Gloria enjoys swimming, hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. Her outgoing spirit always leads her to new adventures and she loves to travel whenever she can. She enjoys meeting new people and looks forwardto the opportunity to help you with your oral health-care needs.
Alicia is a native New Mexican who grew up in Albuquerque and RioRancho. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene degreefrom the University of New Mexico and has been practicing dentalhygiene and local anesthesia since 2014. Her favorite part aboutbeing a dental hygienist is getting to know her patients and beingable to help them improve their oral hygiene. She loves to encourageand support her patients.When she is not working, Alicia enjoys spending time with hersignificant other, her family and her two big fur babies. Her hobbiesinclude long walks, crafting and seeing new movies at the theater.
