Dr. Kordulak is a Hampton Roads native. He attended undergrad school at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, NC, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree. He went on to earn a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.
Dr. Kordulak spent the next 8 years in active duty, traveling to NC, Germany, and Virginia. After active duty, he spent 2 years in the Army Reserve with the 56th Field Hospital in Richmond, VA, and then several years as an Individual Ready Reservist. Before recently joining The Foleck Center, Dr. Kordulak had been in private dental practice since 1981.
Dr. Kordulaks professional affiliations include the Academy of General Dentistry, the International Association for Orthodontics, and Dental Sleep Solutions. In order to provide his patients with up-to-date treatment, Dr. Kordulak attends at least one orthodontic, general dental, and sleep dentistry course every year, allowing him to offer an alternative to CPAP users. He is particularly interested in facial growth and the effects of our environment on it, in addition to the correlation of sleep disorders with high blood pressure, diabetes, obesity, and overall health and well-being.
Dr. Kordulak enjoys learning new innovative dental procedures, but away from dentistry he enjoys spending quality time with his wife of 43 years, Brenda, his two grown children, and active 7-year-old grandson. Additionally, he enjoys boating on Back Bay, reading, and hosting friends and family.
Oftentimes, well recommend that new patients first come in for an exam and cleaning. This allows our hygienist to remove buildup and stains from the teeth, and for our doctors to get to know you. We can create a treatment plan as needed, and begin by helping to schedule any additional work to be done. We can schedule families together, allowing everyone to be able to be seen on the same day. This limits confusion, while helping each member of your family to receive the care that they need to keep their teeth healthy and strong.
We will review your health and medical history prior to administering any type of sedative. Most patients can safely have sedation dentistry in our office, but you may not be eligible for this option if youre pregnant, have a medical condition, or if youre allergic to the ingredients in the sedative being used. Because we offer a range of sedative options, you can choose which one is right for you.

Dr. Maroon and Eric were spectacular. I had chipped tooth that he was able to fix to perfection! Everyone in the office was very professional and attentive. I highly recommend!

Have someone cover you in prayer if you go the Norfolk office of the Foleck Center. All the chairs are in one room, separated by tall cabinets for visual privacy of what pants the patient next to you is wearing, but you can just imagine all the unmasked air, the water and air blown into other patients mouths, hopping a ride on the air current and settling in your unmasked mouth. Even on a good day, you're going to be sharing the details of your gingivitis and emergency contact to patients sitting a couple chairs away, because again it's just one room with probably close to ten chairs. This is the kind of office that will say they can get you in right away, but make you spend 30 minutes in the waiting room and another hour in the chair without fixing anything , so you have to come in at a later date anyway, but now twice.

Everyone here is nice, and they explain everything that needs to be done in a gentle fashion. They have good plans for those that are uninsured as well.

Lady on the phone was nice. She scheduled my appointment. Took payment. Answered my questions. I was told I could bring my daughter and it would take about an hour. We arrived, no where at all to park. You have to walk through a surgical area with biohazard signs all over the doors and walls along with patients awaiting surgery for a different practice. We found the Foleck Center in the back, upstairs, the farthest area from the entrance. We walked in and no one was there to greet us. I figured, well we are a few minutes early. Finally a lady comes out and her attitude was as if we were bothering her to be there. New patient paperwork wasn't given. We waited about 30 minutes. Nothing! I asked a few questions and again I felt like I was a bother. She told me it would be 2 hours. The lady had an attitude when I was trying to understand why its going to take two hours for a teeth cleaning. She said "we can't clean your teeth without a release!" Anyone going to a new patient appointment understands paperwork, but honestly.....2 hours?. Again, No one gave me anything and again we sat! No books, no toys, not anything for a child at all. Completely not a child friendly place! A refund isn't allowed and rescheduling isn't an option. Looking at their website, all good reviews! Well, they're not that glamorous! Complete waste of time and money! Don't fall for the Facebook post!
