Born in Miami Beach, FL, Dr. Richter moved to New York, where he attended the Hackley School for Boys in Tarrytown, NY, before earning a B.A. in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin. He received his D.D.S. degree from the Loyola University Chicago College of Dental Surgery in 1980 and joined our office, Chicago Dental Professionals, the following year.
He is a founding member of the Lake Cook Dental Study Club, a group of general and specialty dentists collaborating to learn about the latest developments in the dental field. His professional interests include cosmetic dentistry, implant dentistry, the treatment of TMJ disorders, and endodontics.
Dr. Richter is married to Polly, and they reside in Highland Park, IL, and have an adult son, Ryan. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys bird watching, fishing, bicycling, tennis, platform tennis, golf, cooking, music, and he is a member of a book club.
