Dr. Holbrook received his bachelors degree from Indiana University and his dental degree from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. After graduation, he went on to complete a rigorous two-year advanced general dentistry residency at the University of Florida. During his residency, Dr. Holbrook completed additional training at both the prestigious Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study and at the Implant Educators comprehensive dental implant continuum. Currently, he is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Florida AEGD Residency program.

Dr. Jose Horak or Dr. Ze (pronounced zay) as many patients call him, was born and raised in Portugal. His decision to pursue a career in dentistry was made at a very young age. Listening to patients and treating patients with compassion is one of his primary commitments. In todays climate of impersonal managed healthcare, when you visit our office you will experience a level of personal attention that is unique to our practice philosophy. You may even see our lovely emotional support goldendoodle named Zoey (she loves attention).

Dr. Horak attended Minnesota State University and Central Connecticut State University, graduating with a B.S. degree in Biomolecular Science with honors. It was at the Central Connecticut State University that he met his wife and best friend, Amanda, to whom he has been married to since 2012. Dr. Horak completed his degree of Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (D.M.D) with honors from The University of Connecticut in Farmington, Connecticut.

Following dental school, he completed a rigorous residency program in Advanced General Dentistry at the University of Florida. Dr. Horak completed additional training at both the prestigious Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Study and at the Implant Educators comprehensive dental implant continuum.

With the constantly evolving field of dentistry, his focus is on education, innovation and advancing his skill development to provide the highest quality dental care to his patients. Ruby is the jewel of our office and has been working with the practice for 29 years. As the Office Manager, Ruby keeps track of our schedule and is constantly striving to make each patient's experience the best it can be. She also maintains and repairs our computers and works closely with equipment manufacturers and support staff for all of our state-of-the-art technology.

Paula joined our practice in August, 2015 shortly after moving to the Suncoast from South Carolina. She graduated with honors in 2003 from Midlands Technical College in Columbia, South Carolina with an Associates Degree in Dental Hygiene. After graduation, Paula began her dental hygiene career in South Carolina where she practiced for over 12 years in the same dental office. Throughout her career, she has enjoyed sharing her knowledge and care of dental hygiene not only in the United States, but in Central America as well, where she aided impoverished communities on multiple medical mission trips.

Originally hailing from Colorado, Ben has spent 15 years living in Sarasota. He completed the Dental Hygiene program at State College of Florida and holds both an A.S and A.A. degree. After graduating, Ben worked as a temporary hygienist filling in at offices between the Bradenton and Venice area. During this time he met and worked with several dentists of different specialties. In 2016, he decided to make his home at the office where he could focus on developing patient relationships and continue to learn state-of-the-art advancements in dental care.

Carrie is a lifelong resident of Venice and joined our team in December of 2016. She is a certified Dental Assistant and has over 20 years in the Dental field. She loves to keep learning the latest in dentistry and works chairside as the doctor's Dental Assistant.

Jacqueline grew up in Long Island, New York. She joined our office in July of 2017 and has been a Dental Assistant since 2001. Her favorite part of Dentistry is surgery and she has worked with Oral Surgeons and Periodontists and has recently become a certified Phlebotomist.
