Digital X-rays offer a huge advantage in early detection and preventive services. Advanced image manipulation and analysis, for example, allows your doctor to detect early stages of gum disease through recognition of bone level changes, or by evaluating the results against a previous treatment.

An intraoral camera is an indispensable diagnostic and educational tool. The tiny video camera moves around inside of your mouth and generates a tooth by tooth video exam of your teeth. Using an intraoral camera allows patients to better understand their dental needs by seeing what the dentist sees and then having it explained.

Lasers are a non-surgical approach to arresting the progression of periodontal disease. Following scaling and root planing, a laser is used to significantly reduce the bacterial colonies and decontaminate the infected periodontal pocket. Lasers also remove the infected tissue lining the periodontal pocket. As the infected tissue is removed, microscopic blood clots form and your body's natural healing response takes over. As you heal, the tissue reattaches to the bone and your gums return to a healthy infection-free state.

I'm very afraid of the dentist but I had a chipped tooth I had to fix in front of my mouth. My dentist very sweet with me she knew I was afraid. She was very gentle explaining everything she was doing and put me at ease. I recommend Florence smiles dentistry to everyone 100 percent

I have experienced top notch care at this office. The front office is amazing and the office manager goes above and beyond to help patients. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done for me. My family and I will be long time patients here. Just to add the dentist is great too. She is patient, calming, and friendly.

The front desk is awesome (David and Michelle)! The office is very clean. My son needed his wisdom teeth out fairly quickly and they fit him in right away. Our insurance has changed and not many oral surgeons take it. They did!!! There were a few bumps along the way, but I have discussed my concerns with the office manager and hopefully won't happen again. I would NOT recommend Dr. Carter if you go to this practice, but one of the other oral surgeons should be fine.

This place is a SCAM! I called yesterday (Sunday) because my daughter needs a tooth pulled. She's been crying in bed, tylenol, ice, orajel, no relief. Was told I could bring her this morning to get it done. They took $100 to tell me what I told them (it needs pulled) and to come back. Ridiculous! I made it clear when we got there that we were there to get it pulled. They said nothing but had no problem taking my money. She told them when they took her back, that's why we're there. Again they said nothing. If you're not a single mom and actually have $$$$ to throw away then this is the place for you.

I'm a self-admitted dental care procrastinator, but persistent tooth pain forced me to bite the bullet (ouch) and make an appointment with a dentist. I initially chose Florence Smiles Dentistry because of the convenience of making an appointment online, but I ended up being really pleased with all of the interactions with the staff and my dentist, Dr. Travis. Everyone was warm and welcoming from the moment I entered the door and I never felt judged for not having been to a dentist in far too long. Highly recommend!

I had an awful experience with them as a new patient. First, my appointment was at 3pm and I ended up having to leave at 4:30 because out of all that time, the cleaning had never started happening. Secondly, I was told that the x rays done were not covered by my insurance AFTER having the X rays done. I understand that the x rays are an important part of oral health but it has to be disclosed that it is not covered before doing it, which did not happen. Lastly, the dentist then recommended a "cleaning" that I was told was going to cost me $304 just for this cleaning after insurance. They made me very aware that this was extremely recommended and "needed for my teeth" and pressuring me to do this and pay. After a total of one hour and thirty two minutes, I left and the cleaning still had not even begun or started. They looked at my mouth for a total of 10 minutes out of the 90 minutes I was there. I paid my dues for the cancer screening that was done and kindly left. This is unacceptable and I would not recommend this dentist to anyone as they only seem out to make a quick buck. The office was extremely clean & the people were friendly, I cannot discredit that. I am beyond frustrated and all that was offered to me on my way out was a "sorry when do you want to reschedule" and barely an apology. I was more than kind to them given the circumstances but nothing was done. I will not be returning nor recommending this dentist to anyone.

Every single staff member is friendly and personable. The hygienist and Dr. Travis explain the procedures they perform before hand, and make sure you are comfortable during the whole process. I have had a great experience every time I go.

I had a follow up appointment with Dr. Alison Travis to have a crown placed and cavity filled today. I arrive early for my appointment. No one comes up to the front desk for 15 minutes. I explain to the doctor BEFORE she numbs me the signs for an oncoming seizure. I have seizures marked in my file but I wanted to cover my bases in case there was an issue. Not that I expected there to be an issue. She tells me that she wants to contact my neurologist to insure I can have work done (AFTER she numbs my mouth). She says that she talked to someone in the office and that because I haven't been seen in months that I have to go to my nuerologist for medical clearance. I saw my nuerologist last month. When I ask if she spoke with my nuerologist she says no-- just the office. After I leave (because they won't treat me), I get a call from my nuerologist and his assistant. No one in his office spoke to Dr. Travis today. He reiterated that I did not need medical clearance to have dental work. That he wasn't sure why the dental office would even think they need clearance. The office lied. Wasted my time. Save your time and try a different office.

My experience at Florence Smiles was amazing. The staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful. The office is brand new so it was very clean and well-kept. The doctor seemed to really care and she took her time with me, staying an hour after they closed to finish up my services. I felt very important to them and still do with it being a couple days later and the staff coordinator reaching out to me to make sure everything was OK. I highly suggest this place if you're looking for a new dentist office.
