Dr. Carol Basilio graduated with her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 1998. Prior to that, she received Bachelor Degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. She has lived in Southern California for over 20 years and has practiced in Laguna Hills for 15 years. Dr. Basilio attends many continuing education classes to provide comprehensive and advanced dental care to all of her patients.
Academy of Periodontology Dr. Oliver Hoffmann received his dental degree from the University of Wuerzburg, Germany in 1997. Dr. Hoffmann wrote his doctoral thesis at the department of Operative Surgery and Periodontics of the University of Wuerzburg, Germany under the guidance of PD. Dr. B. Hugo and Prof. Dr. B. Klaiber.
After working for 1.5 years as an associate in a general dental office and 1.5 years in an orthodontic office, he started his residency in the Graduate Program in periodontics at Loma Linda University in 2000. He received his certificate in Periodontics in 2003. In 2003 he also finished his Masters Degree (The use of a Subperiosteal Device for Orthodontic Anchorage)
Dr. Hoffmann also works part-time as an Associate Professor at the department of Periodontics at Loma Linda University. Dr. Hoffmann lectures on a regular basis on Periodontology and Implantology and has presented at several international professional meetings.
Dr. Plaitano his Post-Doctoral Certificate and Master degree in Endodontics from State University of New York Buffalo in 1999 graduating 1st in his class and received his DMD (Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry), from the University of Pittsburg in 1987.
In 1990 D. Plaitano was selected for a Commission in the U.S. Navy and served as the Dental Department Head on the USS Saipan and was deployed in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm and the Adriatic Sea in support of the Bosnia No-Fly Zones.
Dr. Plaitano retied with distinguished from the U.S. Military with the following honors: 3 Navy Commendation Medals, a Navy Achievement Medal, 2 National defense Medals, Southeast Asia Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Forces Service Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal.
