Dr. Huslig is a different kind of dentist. With his primary focus on education, both for his patients and for himself, Dr. Huslig is able to provide the highest possible level of care with the latest advancements in dental technology. When Dr. Huslig isnt pursuing continuing education he is improving the lives of the Andover community with his extensive dental expertise and experience.
A native of Kansas, Dr. Huslig earned his undergraduate degree from Wichita State University. In 1994 he graduated with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX. Since then he has been in private practice serving the needs of the Andover and greater Wichita communities.
Dr. Huslig continues to pursue advanced education in comprehensive-care dentistry so he can utilize the very best of the latest dental advances for his patients. He has earned certification for Invisalign and New Invisalign Teen, the clear alternative to braces. With his extensive training and experience in esthetic dentistry, Dr. Huslig is well versed in the art and science of quality dental care.
Interested in more than his own education, Dr. Huslig is always working to improve his patients dental knowledge. He takes the time to explain facts, provide options, and explain the reasons behind every diagnosis and treatment plan. Dr. Huslig strives for patients to be well-informed and confident participants in their oral health care.
Dr. Huslig also serves as a volunteer dentist for annual dental screenings at local elementary schools, participates in Donated Dental Services, and enjoys educating pre-school-aged children about their teeth. In his spare time, he coaches and officiates youth soccer.
Dr. Cody Gunnell is a native of Centerville, Utah. When he was three years old his family moved to Saudi Arabia for six years where his father worked. While living overseas, Dr. Gunnell had the opportunity to travel often and visit five of the seven continents. By the age of 9, Dr. Gunnell had traveled over 100,000 miles! Upon returning to the United States, Dr. Gunnell obtained a bachelors degree in Biological Engineering from Utah State University. During undergraduate studies, Dr. Gunnell took a two-year break to serve a religious mission to central Russia and upon his return to Utah State, met his beautiful wife, Jennifer. They were married in Bountiful, Utah in 2008.
After graduating from Utah State University in 2011, Dr. Gunnell accepted a scholarship position at Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, Nebraska, where he gained experience in all aspects of general dentistry, including restorative work, crown and bridge, dentures, root canals, periodontics, extractions, and implant surgeries. In July 2014, Dr. and Mrs. Gunnell welcomed their twin girls, Hannah and Hailey.
Upon completion of dental school in 2015, Dr. Gunnell completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at Wichita State University to increase his clinical abilities. Dr. Gunnell and his family live in Northeast Wichita while he has been in private practice in the area since 2016. Dr. Gunnell enjoys spending time with his family, road tripping, golfing, watching movies, and keeping up on world events. One of his favorite quotes is from Henry Ford: Whether you think you can, or think you cant youreright.

Love this dentist and staff. My family and I have been coming for years, and I don't think you could make us change dentists. They make everything as pain free as possible. I can't recommend Dr. Huslig more!

This is my first time to visit this Dental Group. I must say the people the staff and the dentist that work here are fantastic. Friendly strip of people I have ever met so professional. They leave no questions unanswered. Looking forward to my next visit.

The team at Flint Hills is awesome. Been going for years and feel like family. They always remember me and checking up on how things are going. I had to leave them for a bit due to insurance and was so grateful when my new insurance was under them. So glad to be back. Thank you all for being so wonder and kind.

Thank you Dr Aaron Huslig and all the wonderful trained staff and Brandi who helped in my root canal and all the time it took to do the procedure. Their whole team worked to make ME comfortable, even getting my insulin from my house. I don't know of any other office that would take care of my other medical issues, especially a dentist. This is a perk of living in a smaller town and knowing most everyone. You still get the best care and their up to technology . You get the best care and technical support, while being treated like a neighbor or friend.

I get my cleaning free with a in network dentist. They were not in my network and didn't bother letting me know that when I gave them my info. So I owed them for my visit. This would be courteous to let patient know on arrival.

Was in to see Dr G and was very impressed with the efficiency of the office and of Dr Gs dental assistant, Hali. She walked me through each step of the X-ray process and was very efficient in letting me know each upcoming step of the exam. Dr G was very through with his exam, making sure that the examination wasn't causing any more discomfort than absolutely necessary. He was very good at describing what he felt the procedure we needed to follow was and I understood what his recommendations were. Overall an excellent experience and I would highly recommend Flint Hills to family and friends.

I can't say enough good things about the team at Flint Hills Dental. I have always avoided dental care, but I'm glad my wife encouraged me to go. I had full extraction and a new upper appliance. I'm more confident than ever. The staff create a wam, hometown attitude and took the time to get to know me and my situation. I'm so happy they take care of me.

I hated going to the dentist after a few bad experiences. Finally went in to get some work done and everything changed. They really care about you at Flint Hills. If you want to have a great experience from the time you walk in til the time you walk out, give them a try!

I came to Flint Hills Dental a year and a half ago in search of help from Dr.Huslig. I was dealt the unfortunate hand of having terrible teeth through out my life. So, I decided to embark on the long journey of a full mouth restoration with Dr.Huslig. Dr.Huslig and his entire staff were very knowledgeable, informative and kind. They helped me any time I needed to make last minute appointments, guided me through the steps and were absolutely available after hours when needed. I have been INCREDIBLY happy with the services I've received and my outstanding care. I cannot recommend this wonderful office enough!

Dr. Huslig and his staff are wonderful. The entire experience beginning with being greeted at the front desk, having the staff take me back and the interactions with Dr. Huslig were stellar! He and the staff listen to the needs of their patients and respond accordingly. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun, which is incredibly helpful. Dr. Huslig remains informed of the latest technology, and invests in equipment that is designed to make the patient experience as good as possible. Even if you don't think you need a new dentist, you need to go meet Dr. Huslig and his staff!

I hate, loathe, abhor dentists...UNTIL I Found this office! Where other dentists failed, Dr. Huslig made me have faith again in the humanity of the dental industry. I have had 3 teeth pulled after multiple crowns failed. I have a difficult bite and never have hygienists take the time to ensure I had my bite before I left. I would get horrible migraines from my bite and with the patience and help of his staff, Dr. Huslig made these go away. I started bringing my kids when I discovered how kind Toye, Ashley, Susan and Tonya were...not to mention patient. They chatted with my boys making them feel comfortable in the dentist chair without the aid of tvs or electronic devices. This was important to me as adults have to power through the visit without an aid and this is an important life skill. From the minute you walk in the door after being greeted from Vonda to the time you leave you know you are family. Any time I have concerns about my bill or how insurance was handled I am walked through the process without hesitation. Thank you to this amazing staff!
