Dr. Benjamin J. Gubernick was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Florida with his family when he was only six months old. He was raised in Palm City and considered himself a Florida native. Dr. Gubernick knew from a young age that he wanted to become a dentist due to the unique blend of science and art that dentistry entails.
Upon graduating from the University of Florida in 2011 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, he moved to Baltimore, Maryland, to pursue his dream at the prestigious University Of Maryland College Of Dental Surgery. Dr. Gubernick graduated with his doctorate in dental surgery (DDS) in 2015. He completed a General Practice Residency at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. This additional post-graduate training allowed him to enhance his skills in restorative and surgical dentistry. Dr. Gubernick is pleased to be a part of Flex Dental and looks forward to being an integral part of the Tampa community and helping his neighbors achieve excellent oral health.
Dr. Gubernick is sensitive to the needs of his patients and is dedicated to providing quality care. He appreciates the ability to heal patients not only physically, but emotionally and socially as well. Understanding that dentistry is an evolving science, he is committed to continuing education for the betterment of his patients. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dedicated to his community, Dr. Gubernick volunteers at the St. Pete Free Health Clinic to provide general dental services. He is a member of the Bryan Glazer JCC and a member of the Schaarai Zedek Jewish congregation. When not working, he enjoys participating in local Tampa Bay Club Sports, exercising at the JCC, enjoying the food and restaurants that Tampa has to offer, and spending time with his friends and family. He met his wife, Becky, in Gainesville, Florida, at the University of Florida, and they were married on January 20th, 2019. Becky is an Academic Advisor at the University of South Florida.
Lily was born and raised in Tampa, where she received her Certification for Radiology and Dental Assisting. She loves to spend her free time swimming and riding bikes with friends and family. She is currently continuing her Dental Education at the University of South Florida.
Renzer was born and raised in Venezuela. He moved to Colombia, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgeon degree from El Bosque University. He relocated to Florida and earned his Certification to be a Registered Dental Hygienist. His practice goals are to provide educational and therapeutic dental hygiene services in the prevention and maintenance of our patients oral health. He is an avid soccer fan. Outside of work, you can find him spending time with his wife and friends.
Georgette joined our team in April 2019. She was born in New York and raised in Tampa, where she received her Certification as a Dental Assistant. She loves to spend her free time with her two little boys and baby girl. She also enjoys staying active and cooking.
From the moment you first walk through the door, we will do everything we can to make you feel like family. You can always expect a friendly greeting from our office manager, Shannon. With our dental assistant, Wilmarie, you can rest easy knowing youre in good hands. Our dentist, Dr. Gubernick, is always here to answer your questions and make you feel as comfortable as possible.

So far, so good. Felt comfortable immediately and felt like they had time for me. I have a lot of work to do in the next few months and it is scheduled and ready to go. I really liked their plan and how they are going to help my smile and overall health.

I was accepted as an emergency visit they took the time and care to make sure i was comfortable. I have a very huge phobia when it comes to dentists. They did everything to put me at ease and made the entire process painless. They made sure they were able to get me to a specialist within the same hour to have a root canal done. 2 hours later i am pain free and could not be happier with my experience. I have a bunch of work that i will be having done here 10/10 thank you guys so much
