Dr. John Kearns is a 1981 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1997. Dr. Kearns has been involved in dental education for more than 25 years, teaching for the University of Iowa College of Dentistry and conducting lectures at dental schools throughout the United States.
Dr. Kearns maintains his cutting edge approach to dentistry by participating in frequent continuing education courses related to implant prosthetics, Invisalign tooth straightening, and cosmetic dentistry. As a result of his expertise, he was selected as one of 12 North American dentists to serve on a product development board for the 3M Corporation.
He is actively involved in a number of civic and dental organizations and has served as President of the Des Moines District Dental Society, the University of Iowa Dental Alumni Association, and the Iowa Dental Foundation. He serves on the Board of Directors for Delta Dental of Iowa and the Civic Center of Greater Des Moines.
She began her journey in dentistry as a dental assistant for eight years prior to dental school. Four of those years were at a childrens dental office where she learned to enjoy the challenges and rewards that come along with caring for children.
Dr. Cleaver serves on the Board of the Dental Assisting Program at the Des Moines Area Community College and was an instructor in their Dental Hygiene Clinic. She is a member of the Des Moines District Dental Society and has served as President of that organization. She is a leader in the Iowa Mission of Mercy, providing much needed dental care to the underserved. Dr. Cleaver is also a member of the Iowa Dental Association, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine and a member of the American Association of Women Dentists.
Dr. Michael Main is a lifelong Iowa native and grew up in Urbandale. He attended the University of Iowa where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree, majoring in Microbiology. Dr. Main then continued towards his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry graduating in 2006 and joined Fleur Dentistry in 2009.
Dr. Main is active in the dental community as a member of the Des Moines District Dental Society, Iowa Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Seattle Study Club, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He enjoys attending continuing education courses on many aspects of dentistry including cosmetic dentistry, implant prosthetics, and INVISALIGN tooth straightening.
When not at the office, Dr. Main is also very involved with the Des Moines East and South Chamber of Commerce serving two terms on the board which includes a term as President. Dr. Main continues to strive for the betterment of the south Des Moines business community.
Dr. Bohn was born and raised in Bettendorf, IA. He received his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from Iowa State University and then furthered his education at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. He continues growth as a clinician through his membership in the American Dental Association and Iowa Dental Association. Dr. Bohn enjoys working with patients of all ages and is looking forward to being a part of the Des Moines community and meeting you and your family!

Our front office team is here to greet you and take care of all of your dental business needs. They work together with insurance companies to provide our patients with a treatment estimate and maximize available dental benefits. They are also very knowledgeable about a variety of financing options. Our team works in conjunction with our doctors to schedule your dental visits in a timely manner and is always available to answer questions regarding your dental treatment.

I have been going to Fluer Dentistry since I was a child and I will not go anywhere else! I love having a dentist I can trust. The receptionists are always helpful with scheduling and billing and the dental assistants friendly and gentle on my mouth.

I had a flipper tooth emergency and I just moved up here a month ago what can I say best customer service all staff was so helpful and friendly and the Dr made my day by saying it will be ready tomorrow that was music to my ears I am so happy and will come back for all my dental needs.

I finally found the right dentist (Dr Cleaver) after 3 tries. We moved to the metro 10 years ago and I tried 3 other dental offices and got so frustrated with their add on selling. Fleur dentistry did not try to sell me anything extra, everyone is super nice, they are quick, gentle and efficient with everything. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

From the time I walk in to the time I walk out I have consistently been given the utmost care by my Dentist and anyone on the staff. I remember filling out papers many years ago as what I had hoped for. That was to not do or bill me for unnecessary work on my teeth. They have followed that to a T. They are friendly and informative, and no waiting. No need to go anyplace else.

The staff here are great. They do an amazing job and they actually care about their patients. They are meticulous, they look for signs of issues that most dentists don't. Oct 2020: Have had recent issues including scheduling and provider not having supplies necessary to complete scheduled appointments.
