From Maysville:Take KY 11 South to Flemingsburg. As you enter Flemingsburg, go straight through the traffic light at the bypass, continuing on Business 11 to downtown. Take a right at the next red light, in downtown, onto Main Cross Street. Our office, 303 South Main Cross, is on the left in 0.2 miles.

From Morehead:Take KY 32 West to Flemingsburg. At the first traffic light, turn right on KY 11 Business (Mt. Sterling Ave). Follow KY 11 Business 0.3 miles, then turn left on Clark Street. At the end of Clark Street, turn right, and proceed 300 feet to our office, 303 South Main Cross, which is on the right.

From Carlisle:Take US 68 to Fairview. Turn West on KY 165 for approximately 6 miles. At the end of KY 165, turn left on KY 32. At the first light on entering Flemingsburg, proceed one mile on KY Business 57 (Elizaville Avenue turns into South Main Cross) to our office, 303 South Main Cross, which is on the right.

Dr. Moorhead earned his dental degree from the University of Louisville, where he was a member of the Phi Dental Prosthetic Honor Fraternity, and graduated in the top fifteen percent of his class. After serving for eight years as a member of the Lexington area Blue Grass Dental Society that serves twenty-eight counties, he was elected President of the organization in 1997. He served as President of the Kentucky Dental Association (KDA) in 2013 and now serves as Chairman of KDAs Council on Annual Sessions. The KDA honored Dr. Moorhead in 2011 with the Presidential Citation Award, and with their Outstanding Service Award in 2011 for writing new dental sedation regulations for the state of Kentucky. Dr. Moorhead has been honored with fellowships by the International College of Dentists in 2013, the Pierre Fauchard Academy in 2002, the Dental Organization of Conscious Sedation in 2006 and the American College of Dentists in 2016. Dr. Moorhead has certification in IV Sedation and has taught IV sedation at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.

Dr. Moorhead remains committed to giving his patients the best that dentistry has to offer, and has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education courses to maintain that commitment, including extensive studies in sedation dentistry, orthodontics (braces), periodontics, endodontics (root canals), and implantology.I enjoy living in Fleming County. Its great to be involved in such a warm, caring community. Dr. Moorhead has served as Organist and Choir Director of First United Methodist Church and Flemingsburg Christian Church, and serves as Concert Accompanist for the Golden Chord Singers. He is well known in the area for his Annual Free Treatment Day, a tradition he has sponsored near Christmas for over 20 years. Dr. Moorhead devotes the entire day to providing services to families who have had to put off needed dental work because they are unable to afford it.

Cathy Miller, Registered Dental HygienistCathy joined our team in September 2013, and has worked over 30 years as a a Dental Hygienist. Prior to joining our team, she worked in Maysville for 27 years until her previous employer, Dr. Bob French, retired. Originally from Ashland, Cathy graduated with honors with an Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Kentucky mobile Hygiene program at the Ashland Community College.

Cathy takes pride in being a thorough clinician, and enjoys working with her patients to improve their oral health, focusing on prevention. She really enjoys her patients and always has a good time getting to know them, which she says is the best part of being a Dental Hygienist. Cathy and her husband Larryenjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren. She feels like one of her most important jobs is being a grandmother and spoiling her grand-kids, and she takes it very seriously! She is active in her church, and also enjoys, reading, photography, cooking, and loves spending time at the beach!

Amanda, Financial CoordinatorAmanda has lived in nearby Maysville her entire life. She completed an Associates Degree in Elementary Education at Maysville Community and Technical College and worked as a substitute teacher. She later found a passion in medical administration where she worked before expanding into the dental field. You will find Amanda an expert on dental insurance and always ready to help make your dental care fit your budget.

Amanda is a mother of three wonderful children. With her background in Elementary Education, she can always get a smile out of our younger patients. No matter your age, youll find Amanda will put you at ease.

Before becoming a dental assistant, Bre attended Morehead State University and had originally planned on becoming a teacher. She was introduced to dentistry by her MSU classmate and found her love of dentistry after touring the Institute of Dental Technologycampus in Lexington.She trained as an expanded duty dental assistant (EDDA) at IDT, graduating in January 2020.

When attending school,Bre moved to Cynthiana and married her husband Hunter in July 2020. Prior to working in our office, she worked for a pediatric dental office in Lexington where she combined her love of childcare and dentistry.Bre and Hunter moved back to Flemingsburg shortly after she accepted her position at Flemingsburg Dental Care.

Bre takes pride in her daily work and loves cracking jokes and making everyone in the office smile - she 's never met a stranger! She says her favorite part of being a dental assistant is making a difference in her patients ' lives. 'A new smile will change a person 's outlook on life.'

Aarin, Circulating Dental AssistantAarin joined our team in October 2020, accepting the position of circulating dental assistant. Aarin grew up in a small town in Georgia, where she trained barrel horses with her father. After marrying her husband Joseph in March 2007, they began traveling with his work jobs for an oil company. Aarin and her family have lived in four different states: Georgia, Wyoming, North Dakota and finally Kentucky.

Over their traveling years, Aarin and Joe have had four wonderful children. Before working in the dental field, Aarin worked as a CNA and loved her job caring for people. Since joining the dental field, she says that helping people and seeing their smiles are what drives her forward each day.

Stephanie, Chairside Dental AssistantStephanie (Steph) is a native of Maysville. She attended Mason County High School where she graduated in 2017. She went on to complete a bachelor's degree in Animal Science at Morehead State.

Stephanie has been a patient of Flemingsburg Dental Care since 2008 and always dreamed of working in dentistry. She joined our team in September 2021 and is now cross trained in both dental assisting and business administration.
