He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Columbia University's School of Dental and Oral Surgery in 1984. He received additional training at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, completing a General Practice Residency in 1985. After practicing as a general dentist, Dr. Fleer returned to Columbia University's School of Dental and Oral Surgery where he received his Certificate in Orthodontics in 1988.
Upon completion of his orthodontic training, Dr. Fleer was invited to teach at Columbia University's Dental School where he continues to volunteer his time lecturing in the Department of Orthodontics.
For his dedication to providing optimal care to his patients, Dr. Fleer has been named to the Best of the U.S. list for Dentists (Orthodontists) as well as named as one of New Jersey's Best Dentists (Orthodontists) for the past several years.

We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.
Certified Dental Assistant (CDA): This credential from the Dental Assistants National Board (DANB), involves training and examination in infection control, radiation health and safety, and general chairside assisting. At least two years' experience in dental assisting is required. Training in medical emergencies and current CPR certification for healthcare providers is required. Many hours of continued education are required to maintain licenseship.
Certified Orthodontic Assistant (COA): This credential from the Dental Assistants National Board (DANB), involves training and requirements required for a CDA but with emphasis on orthodontics. Requires at least two years of orthodontic assisting.
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA): This licensed credential is the highest level of assisting in the state of New Jersey and involves training and examination in expanded dental functions. CDA or COA credentials are a prerequisite, and training in medical emergencies with a current CPR certification for healthcare providers is required. Many hours of continued education are required to maintain licenseship. These hours of education are in addition to the hours required for CDA and COA.
Mary is married to Joe and has four children, Gerard, Eric, Andrew and Natalie. She is a proud babchi (grandmother). Mary enjoys the beach, gardening (our beautiful flower boxes included), photography and spending time with her dog, Sadie.
Chrissy 's role could be best described as our 'air traffic controller'. Managing our patient flow and coordinating our RDA 's, Chrissy is everywhere and always full of energy (she never slows down). Her beautiful smile is always on when she comes to work.
Joining our office in 2001, Sharon's previous experience includes purchasing coordinator for an HMO and office manager for a general contractor. A graduate of Douglass College, New Brunswick, New Jersey, Sharon does an outstanding job assisting our patients with their financial arrangements and contracts, making payment for treatment as smooth and easy as possible. Sharon is the go-to person for all the financial and operational needs of the practice. She enjoys the positive energy of our office and staff, and she especially likes the relationships we develop with families as we treat each of the family members.
