Our vision is to treat every patient as if they were family, by providing our patients with quality care that will result in life long decrease in dental disease. We want to decrease dental pain and suffering in our community through preventative treatment and superior care.
Come in and visit us! We take all major dental insurances, and are now accepting new patients. We treat patients from all throughout the area, including Superior, Louisville, Broomfield, Interlocken & Calmante. We also offer options for patients without dental insurance.
Dr. Katie Plunkett is originally from Boulder, CO and completed both her undergraduate and dental studies with The University of Colorado. During her graduate studies, Dr. Plunkett was a volunteer researcher for the Center for Native Oral Health at the Anschutz medical campus. This research became a foundational component of her dental treatment philosophy. She is passionate about the connection between oral and systemic health and aims to educate patients on best practices for preventing the need for dental treatment. She provides evidence-based care thats focused on your individual needs and goals, in order to help you achieve the healthy smile you desire.
Following graduation, Dr. Plunkett was selected to continue her training in a General Practice Residency at the University of CO Anschutz Hospital. While there, she provided emergency dental care for hospital patients, as well as much-needed comprehensive dental care for medically compromised and special needs patients. She is passionate about continuing education and is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, Colorado Prosthodontic Society, and Metro Denver Dental Society.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Plunkett loves spending time in the garden, traveling, and enjoying nature with her husband and dogs. On the weekends, you can expect to find her slowly chipping away at various home improvement projects and enjoying the company of loved ones.
Dr. Zaid Al Salman was born and raised in Iraq, received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S) from Modern Sciences and Arts University in Egypt at 2011, then he completed a one-year general practice residency at 2012.
Dr. Salman relocated to the United States and earned his second dental degree (D.D.S) from University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine in 2016 where he was the class president. Dr. Salman practiced in Denver as a general dentist before starting his 3-year postgraduate training in Periodontics at University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine where he received a certificate in graduate Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry (M.S.D).
Dr. Salman is Board Eligible with the American Board of Periodontology. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Periodontics, the Colorado Dental Association and the Metropolitan Denver Dental Society.

I wish I could recommend this place, I really do. It's got an excellent hygienist, convenient location, and...NEVER a dentist. The practice has changed hands so much, I've gone through four dentists in four years. The more important issue is that they keep honoring cleaning visits but the dentist never shows up to do the actual DDS exam part. They waited UNTIL I SHOWED UP TODAY AND WAS IN THE CHAIR before they said the doctor "had an appointment" (WELL, SO DID I!!!!!) and wouldn't be joining us. CANNOT recommend this practice. If you are smart, choose someplace else.

What a great practice! Today was my first visit after a long search for a good dental practice. I was taken in within 5 min. The Hygenist was amazing and the attending dentist was so kind. I received quality care and will be back!

After figuring out scheduling problems for 6 months, finally went in and was told my appointment wasn't on the schedule. Had the email with the appointment confirmation, but they couldn't get me in for another 4 weeks. Used sick time for an appointment that didn't even happen. Needless to say, I'll be going somewhere else. Update 1: After posting this review, I received a call stating that all future appointments had been canceled. They seemed genuinely apologetic, but it's not cool that everything was canceled without my prior consent. Update 2: Went to another dentist and was told I was misdiagnosed as having multiple cavities by this provider. Definitely should have listened to the other reviews regarding over-diagnosing cavities!

Absolutely love Flatirons Family Dental, in particular Rachel, their amazing Dental Hygienist. I tried multiple dentists in the area, none come close to the professionalism and quality of care of Flatirons and Rachel. Rachel is so sweet and caring. I've had two cleanings with her now and wouldn't go to anyone else. She is very thorough in her work- it's obvious she loves what she does and is very talented at her art. I never enjoyed going to the dentist before, but Rachel changed that. Highly recommend! The practice is great, don't try to do unnecessary treatments or upsell you. Be sure to check out their lifetime teeth bleaching deal, can't beat it!

Everyone in this office is incredibly kind and helpful! I have had terrible dental anxiety as a lot of people experience. After not receiving routine dental care for most of my life no one in this office has made me feel bad about it. Instead a plan was made and they have been great about working around my schedule to make it work for me. I cannot recommend this office enough.

I had an appointment for cleaning, partial xrays, and exam. Check in was friendly and efficient. All covid protocols were followed. Cleaning was painless and exam with Dr V. was efficient. Front desk data collection appear to be improved for smoother back office processes. Very pleased. Note 7/2022: I haven't been to this office since Dr V. left & they no longer accepted my dental insurance. No current experience with this office.

Dr. Plunkett is a dentist I can trust. She looks at the whole patient and provided me with a treatment plan that worked best for me. She is perfectly transparent in her care which is just part of the reason I trust her as my dentist. Additionally, she is skilled, kind, patient, and I can tell she really cares about my health. If you're looking for a dentist in this area, you and your teeth will be in excellent hands with Dr. Plunkett!

Dr. Plunkett is really amazing, along with her assistant Teresa. She saved my 5 year old from 6 pediatric SS crowns and was able to do tooth colored fillings over 4 sessions, including some difficult ones by the gum line. They handled him really well and it was not traumatic for him and kept going back willingly knowing what the process was. The toy treasure chest at the end helps as well. Dr. Katie is honest, not pushy and listens to your needs. We've since transferred our whole family over and have had further work done with no complaints and quality seems good. As a bonus it has also been more affordable as Flatirons is in-network with our insurance. Lovely to have a great dentist in the neighborhood!
