Dr. Irma is a board-certified pediatric dentist who was born and raised on the beautiful Caribbean island of Puerto Rico. She is also a specialist in orthodontics. After graduating with honors from dental school, she was admitted to the UCLA School of Dentistry where she studied for four years, completing advanced specialty training programs in both pediatric dentistry and orthodontics.
Her child-friendly personality and dual specialty credentials give her a unique perspective on management of the developing smile and ability to determine when early orthodontic treatment is appropriate (and when it is not). As an orthodontist, she is qualified to provide comprehensive orthodontic treatment for children, teenagers, and adults, including treatment with Invisalign appliances.
Dr. Irma is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, American Association of Orthodontists, and Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
With more than twelve years of experience working with children and teenagers, Dr. Irma loves being a pediatric dentist and orthodontist! Her goal is for every child to have healthy dental habits for a lifetime.
Because of her warm personality and expertise in the field, Dr. Irma was interviewed on the Telemundo broadcasting network about the importance of pediatric dental care while she was completing her training at UCLA.
Raised in Arroyo Grande, Dr. Giancarlo is extremely grateful to have the chance to give back to his local community. He enjoyed being involved with community groups such as Scouting and youth sports while hegrew up. During his high school years, he completed his Eagle Scout requirements and graduated with honors from Arroyo Grande High School. After earning his bacherlor's degree from UC Davis, Dr. Giancarlo moved to North Lake Tahoe where he spent time coaching skiing foryoung children at a local resort, an inspiring job that helped him realize how fun working with children could be.
Subsequently, Dr. Giancarlo began dental school at the UCLA School of Dentistry and developed an appreciation for providing care to young patients. Upon graduation, he remained at UCLA and its medical center for an additional 27 months as a resident in the pediatric dentistry advanced specialty training program.
Dr. Giancarlo is a board-certified pediatric dentist and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, andCentral Coast Dental Society.
During his leisure hours, Dr. Giancarlo enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking, running, skiing, or just relaxing under a tree with his little boys and wife. His experience with youngsters before, during, and after his specialty training has given him an outlook and approach that most children are comforable with. Bea graduated the Dental Assisting Program at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria and has been in pediatric dentistry ever since. As an RDA, she has extensive chairside experience, but has found a niche for helping our patients and parents in the front office. In her spare time she loves to laugh with her family and friends.
Amy was born and raised in Southern California. She moved to the Central Coast in 2017. Amy has 27 years under her belt as an RDA. Her extensive knowledge as an RDA aided in her transition to front office. In her spare time she loves going to the beach and enjoys the fresh air and friendly faces here on the Central Coast.
Denise moved from Kern County 2 years ago. She is in the process of furthering her dental career as an RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist). In her spare time she enjoys traveling, hiking and photography.
Tetyana, or Tanya as we know her, is an amazing RDA that was born and raised in the Ukraine. In her spare time she loves to travel the world and see new places. She moved to the United States 20 years ago and has been in pediatric dentistry for 18 of those years. Unfortunately, Tanya had negative dental experiences while in her youth, but these experiences motivate her to help give our patients the most positive dental experience possible! Pediatric dentistry is her passion and is an amazing asset to our team.
Diana is a small town girl from the Cuyama Valley. In 2016 she graduated from SJVC as the spring Valedictorian. Diana has always been cool, calm and collected which aided in the decision to pursue her career in dentistry for children. She is an RDA and loves her job so much she drives over an hour to get here. In her spare time she loves taking long walks with her husband.
Yerixa recently graduated from the Allan Hancock College dental assisting program. She has a 5 year old son that is her pride and joy. In her spare time she enjoys bonding with her son, playing soccer, karate and skateboarding. Her favorite thing about pediatric dentistry is having a positive impact on a childs oral health and educating about the importance of good oral hygiene.
