Dr. Kim Fitzgerald has been practicing Dentistry since graduating from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1986. Her office has grown over the years and in 2015 Dr. Fitzgerald's daughter, Carly, joined the practice.

Dr. Fitzgerald has been a pioneer in the painless procedure of Laser Dentistry. With her Waterlase MD Laser, she can do laser fillings and treat periodontal disease. Our other technologies include digital x-rays (lower radiation), cone beam computerized technology (CBCT) which give us a huge advatage in diagnosing oral health conditions, CEREC (same day crowns), Snap in dentures, Implants and many cosmetic options.

Dr. Carly grew up locally in Saxonburg, Pennsylvania. She attended the University of Pittsburgh for her undergraduate degree in Japanese and her Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD). Thereafter she joined the family business at Fitzgerald Dental Associates. Her passion for dentistry shows in her devotion to the profession. Dr. Berg was accepted into the University of Pittsburgh specialty Orthodontic residency where she earned a Masters degree in Dental Science related to her research in orthodontics, as well as a Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. She has been in private practice since 2003 and has been with Fitzgerald Dental Associates since 2010.

Dr. Berg was born and raised in Western Pennsylvania. She and her husband Andy have three daughters Mia, Makenna and Lily. Her family is very active and Dr. Berg enjoys attending her kids activities and sporting events. She, also, enjoys the outdoors, yoga and spending time with family and friends.

Dr. Berg loves the changes made in peoples lives through orthodontics. She thoroughly enjoys seeing the self-confidence a beautiful smile can bring to people of all ages in their personal and professional lives. Jan has been a practicing dental hygienist for over 30 years, in both private practice and hospital clinics in the greater Pittsburgh area. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Jan also holds a B.S. in Education from Pitt and has taught for dental assistant programs. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, banking, traveling, and visiting her three daughters around the country.

Graduated from University of the Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine-Dental Hygiene program 2000, University of the Pittsburg-Bachelors of Science 2006. I have been in the dental field, working as a Dental Hygienist for over 19 years. My favorite part of being a Dental Hygienist is the relationship with patients, educating patients on their oral health and how it relates to overall systematic health and being a lifelong learner.

Paige Krug graduated from Youngstown State University in May of 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH). Soon after graduation, she joined Fitzgerald Dental in June of 2018. One of her strongest motivations for practicing dental hygiene is knowing everyday shes making a positive impact one patient at a time. Paige strives to ensure our patients always feel informed and comfortable during their visit. To her, there's nothing more gratifying than educating and helping patients overcome their dental fears. Outside of the office she enjoys traveling, snowboarding and hanging out with family and friends.

Jen is a Registered Dental Hygienist that joined Fitzgerald Dental in 2018. She is a 2015 graduate from Suny Broome of Binghamton, NY. She loves working with patients and educating them on good oral health habits. She lives in Butler with her boyfriend and their dog Riley. Loves animals, live music, the outdoors, and most of all, spending time with family and friends.

I have had the pleasure of being part of Fitzgerald Dental since the beginning. I started working in the office in 1999 as a front desk manager. There were only three of us at that time. God put me where I was supposedto be because after working the front desk for a couple years, I learned about and fell in love with dental hygiene. That is when I decided to further my education and was accepted into the University of PittsburghDental Hygiene Program. I graduated in 2003 and started my profession as a dental hygienist immediately at this office.

I am very blessed to have grown and to be a part of this wonderful practice for so many years! I have met so many wonderful people. And I work alongside so many wonderful people! I take great pride in our practice and the work we do! We are a state of the art practice! We take great care of our patients and work very hard to make every patients dental experience is the best it can be! In my spare time, I am most likely with my lovely family. I have a son, daughter, and stepson who all live with me and a stepdaughter who lives in North Carolina raising her own family. Some of my other loves are Jesus, flower gardens and the wonderful hunt for sea glass!

Professional teeth whitening (or bleaching) is a simple, non-invasive dental treatment used to change the color of natural tooth enamel, and is an ideal way to enhance the beauty of your smile. Over-the-counter products are also available, but they are much less effective than professional treatments and may not be approved by the American Dental Association (ADA).

As we age, the outer layer of tooth enamel wears away, eventually revealing a darker or yellow shade. The color of our teeth also comes from the inside of the tooth, which may become darker over time. Smoking, drinking coffee, tea, and wine may also contribute to tooth discoloration, making our teeth yellow and dull. Sometimes, teeth can become discolored from taking certain medications as a child, such as tetracycline. Excessive fluoridation (fluorosis) during tooth development can also cause teeth to become discolored.

Its important to have your teeth evaluated by your dentist to determine if youre a good candidate for bleaching. Occasionally, tetracycline and fluorosis stains are difficult to bleach and your dentist may offer other options, such as veneers or crowns to cover up such stains. Since teeth whitening only works on natural tooth enamel, it is also important to evaluate replacement of any old fillings, crowns, etc. before bleaching begins. Once the bleaching is done, your dentist can match the new restorations to the shade of the newly whitened teeth.

Home teeth whitening systems: At-home products usually come in a gel form that is placed in a custom-fitted mouthguard (tray), created from a mold of your teeth. The trays are worn either twice a day for approximately 30 minutes, or overnight while you sleep. It usually takes several weeks to achieve the desired results depending on the degree of staining and the desired level of whitening.

In office teeth whitening: This treatment is done in the dental office and you will see results immediately. It may require more than one visit, with each visit lasting 30 to 60 minutes. While your gums are protected, a bleaching solution is applied to the teeth. A special light may be used to enhance the action of the agent while the teeth are whitened.

Some patients may experience tooth sensitivity after having their teeth whitened. This sensation is temporary and subsides shortly after you complete the bleaching process, usually within a few days to one week.

I have had nothing but great experiences at Doctor Kim's office. I have been to many dentists in my lifetime and have had bad experiences in the past but Dr Kim is very gentle and kind. Her staff is wonderful and accommodating as well. I highly recommend Fitzgerald's Dental Associates. Especially for those of you that might be afraid to go to the dentist.

I've gone here for probably 10 visits after avoiding the dentist for 5 years (due to awful experiences). They've been very kind, and very respectful of my fear. They offered solutions right away and were willing to work with me to fix all of my issues, starting with baby steps. The doctors and assistants I've met have been so nice and comforting. Amazing in my book. As a traumatised dental patient, I highly recommend them.

Billing practices & department is unprofessional. I've overheard staff gossiping about patients & think they are very unprofessional. Find a different dentist.
