Through orthodontics, I have the opportunity to help people in my community attain beautiful smiles and live healthier, happier lives. I am truly honored to be an orthodontist, and always strive to give each patient the personal attention and quality treatment they deserve. I also take the time to teach each patient how to properly care for their teeth so their beautiful new smiles can last a lifetime.
Prior to becoming an orthodontist, I attended Murray State University and continued on to the University of Kentucky Dental School, where I graduated with my DMD. Afterwards, I earned my Orthodontic Specialty License from the University of Louisville.
Although my formal education is complete, I view my profession as a lifelong learning process. I love continuing to learn about orthodontics and enjoy incorporating what I learn into our practice, giving our patients the best care available. I attend seminars put on by the Kentucky Dental Association and the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) every year to stay involved with the latest research, technology and treatment advances. The AAO is the largest meeting of its kind in the world, and I always learn a lot from the meeting and from my colleagues.
The best part of what I do is simply spending time with my patients. Building attractive and healthy smiles for them often results in a stronger self-esteem and more confidence, and that is the most rewarding aspect of what I do. My patients smile more after treatment, and are happier people because of it. That always makes my day!
I know that my patients come in looking for a better smile, but they also want a comfortable, positive orthodontic experience. My staff and I take the time to connect personally with each patient, and want to know how we can make each visit comfortable and fun for them. Our patients really appreciate the personal attention we give, and they love coming to see us!
I grew up in Calvert City, and have lived in Somerset since 2001. My wife, Robin, and I have three children named Hannah, Jack and Jared. When I am not in the office, I enjoy boating, camping, hunting, fishing, and of course spending time with my wonderful family.
I am also quite active in the community. Our practice has contributed to Relay for Life, Gods Food Pantry, March of Dimes and the Special Olympics. We also continually provide support for our local school systems and sports.
I have been with Dr. Fisk since 2007, andI love welcomingnew patients to our practice and making them feel as comfortable as possible. Working here is great because we help our patients achieve wonderful smiles through teamwork and with great attitudes. My free time is spent doing activities with Jason and our 4 children.
I have been working for Dr. Fisk as an orthodontic assistant since 2001 and worked in the dental field for six years before joining this team. I am also our Medicaid Coordinator and assist our patients with billing. My favorite part of my job is getting to know our wonderful patients and seeing them change from children to young adults with beautiful smiles. I love working with Dr. Fisk because he loves what he does and is always so excited to share that with others. I am married to my husband, Jeff, and we have two wonderful children, Chandra and Logan, and three grandchildren, Wynter, Hunter, and Sawyer. In my spare time, I love to read, crochet, quilt, and a variety of crafts.
I have been working in the dental field for over 35 years. 14 of those years with Dr. Fisk. I started working in the clinic and have since moved to the front office as the Financial/Insurance coordinator. I do my best to make sure you get the most out of any insurance benefits. I enjoy working for Dr. Fisk and go back to the clinic when I am needed. When not working I love spending time with my family. I now have 4 nephews (2 in California), Davey and Mark, 2 in London, Braxton and Dakota, and my nieces Kaylee and Cheyenne, and spoiling my fur baby Piper.
I started with Dr. Fisk's office as an orthodontic assistant in 2020 after completing my Expanded Duties Dental Assistant ( EDDA) certification. I enjoy being able to work closely with our patients to help them acheive their wonderful smiles. When I am not at work I enjoy spending time with Floyd, our daughter Grayson, and our fur baby Bella. We enjoy traveling, watching football, and spending time together.
After working summers in the office, I worked toward becoming an orthodontic assistant in 2020. Working with our patients and seeing them gain confidence through Orthodontics has helped me grow as an adult. When I'm not working I enjoy spending time at home with my family and my boyfriend Jett. I also enjoy my 3 cats, my pet gecko, and my ferret Minkus.
Don't worry! Braces aren't nearly as scary as you may think. In fact, braces today come in a variety of styles, materials, and colors, making life with braces much easier, more comfortable, and even more stylish than in the past.
Orthodontic braces are a big part of life for many people your age. While braces may have had a bad reputation in the past, today's braces make it easy to look good and feel good! Please contact our practice to schedule your next orthodontic checkup.
Orthodontic treatment is no longer just for teens. In fact, the American Association of Orthodontists states that one in five orthodontic patients is over the age of 21. Many adults are choosing to receive treatment because they understand the importance of maintaining their health, and they want to feel better about their appearance. Adults everywhere are taking advantage of the opportunity to receive orthodontic care, and now you can too.
For many adults, the thought of having metal braces is enough to discourage them from receiving treatment. However, today's orthodontic treatment options offer a variety of braces and appliances that are comfortable, aesthetic, and customized to meet your needs. Types of braces include:
The main difference to remember when treating adults or children and teens, is that in younger patients the jawbones are still developing. For adults, these bones have stopped growing, which may mean the possibility of orthognathic surgery to align the jawbones. Other differences include:
Our practice also recognizes that adults and children have different needs, and require a different level of attention and care. We will work with you to ensure that you receive the most appropriate treatments, and that your needs are met with understanding and respect from us.

Don't go here. Dr. Fisk is very arrogant and they insist you go to certain dental specialists because they are friends with the specialist . We were sent to an oral surgeon to have a chain put on my daughters tooth but our dentist, Dr Bartley wanted us to go elsewhere bc dr Bartley's oral surgeon was better at it. Dr Bartley has since referred us to dr brown for braces and he is great. Tonya Phelps is very unprofessional and tries to force you to do things her way instead of giving you a choice. Avoid this office unless you want unfair treatment!

We have used Jeff and his staff for two of our boys. The time they have taken to explain the proceedures, as well as to keep the process going have been beneficial. I would recommend, Fisk Orthodontics to all my friends. Mark C
