Fishtown Dentistry has been serving the community at 244 East Girard Avenue for more than seventy years. The practice is currently led by Dr. Raha Mozaffari, a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and the General Practice Residency program at Einstein Medical Centers Maxwell S. Fogel Department of Dental Medicine.
A specialist in general restorative dentistry, Dr. Mozaffari sees patients of all ages. Her training includes comprehensive clinical experience with cosmetic and implant dentistry, as well as Invisalign treatment. She is eager to help patients meet their health goals, and achieve a beautiful and natural smile.
Dr. Mozaffari was raised in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, and has practiced across the Philadelphia suburbs and city. She lives in Fishtown with her husband. When not in the office you can find her at La Colombe, City Fitness, or Penn Treaty Park.
The practice at 244 East Girard was established by Dr. Arthur Klein in 1949. After purchasing the practice in 1988, Dr. David Slobodinsky expanded and modernized the office to include the next-door building in 1997. Dr. Raha Mozaffari acquired the practice in 2021, while Dr. Slobodinsky continues to actively treat snoring, sleep apnea, and CPAP intolerance through his practice SleepWellPhiladelphia.

. Dr Dave was truly blessed in his chosen profession. He said to me long ago " the art of painless dentistry will be practiced here". He also said "Marathon Man" set dentistry back to the Stone Age 40 years later I'm living proof of his oath to dental industry. Happy retirement Doc! I can now assure you that Fishtown Dentistry is going to continue with the same professional service. Dr Raha is kind, sweet spoken but confident. Her soft voice is calm and assuring. She also has those gentle hands of a surgeon but the bedside manner of the doctor that listens and cares. Fishtown is blessed with 40 years past along with 40 more going forward. This was a very clean and friendly office, which was surprisingly close to my home. I hadn't seen a dentist since before the pandemic, and came in with a lot of concerns. The Dentist addressed all of those issues and has set a course of action to get my mouth back into good shape. The assistant, Erin was extremely polite and patiently explained my x-rays and what I was seeing. She was above and beyond on her manner of care, and I left feeling far more confident in my ability to handle things than when I came in. I'd highly recommend these folks to anyone needing dental care, as the experience was above and beyond past places I'd gone to. I'm looking forward to getting myself to a better place tooth wise, with their care and guidance.

I had my initial visit to this office yesterday. They had been recommended to me by a family member. Yet, I was terrified because I've never been comfortable at dental appointments! I was delighted to find that all the staff and of course Dr. Mozaffari are caring professionals who put their patients safety and comfort as a high priority while attending to the dental procedures necessary. I highly recommend this practice.

My spouse and I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Raha Mozaffari and her kind, attentive staff at Fishtown Dentistry. Dr. Mozaffari is very personable and thorough, and I was impressed at the office's fidelity to COVID restrictions. Great experience at Family Dentistry. Most sophisticated dentist's office I've ever visited. All of the staff were very accommodating. Doctor was respectful and never made me feel like I was a negligent to my own oral health. She listened to my concerns, took the time to explain things, and put together a plan. Viewing the x-rays on a flat screen while in my chair with the doctor is a very nice touch.
