As a parent, choosing the right dental home is extremely important. The relationship that you establish with your childs dentist plays an important role to help maintain optimal oral health throughout your childs lifetime.

While one may assume that a general dentist and pediatric dentist are one and the same, there are vast differences that make pediatric dentists the professional of choice when providing care to children. According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, pediatric dentists are the pediatricians of dentistry and have had at least two to three years of specialty training following dental school, qualifying them to deal with the behavioral aspects of children, how to make them feel comfortable and how to make the dental experience a pleasant one. As parents, we know that a trip to the dentist can be an intimidating thing for our little ones, and working with a doctor that is trained specifically to work with a child's view is extremely important for laying down the foundation for positive visits in the future. It is our goal to provide an experience that establishes trust and confidence early on and to educate on a level that your child can understand.

While FPD is the 20-year-old brain child of Dr. Ana, she is proud to share the practice with Dr. Misti, who recently became part-owner. It was important for Dr. Ana to find someone who shared her outside-the-box creative vision, as well as her genuine love for her craft after all, if youre going to do something every day, it certainly helps to love what you do! The two doctors found their professional other-half in one another, sharing both their overall passion for life and their love of working with children. They share a common goal to create a unique and enjoyable experience for each patient and parent who visits our island. To them, this is more than a job its their passion.

Took my 3.5 year old for a cleaning. I decided to try a pediatric dentist office since she wasn't very comfortable at a regular office. The office was very welcoming. The office staff did a great job explaining everything they were doing. She was so relaxed she almost fell asleep!! Definitely recommend to parents!

I have taken my children here for a few years now for routine cleanings and a couple fillings. I knew they were great, but today they truly exceeded great! My daughter fell in the driveway and shattered her front tooth today. I sent them a photo and they got us in right away, regardless if they had to stay a little after closing. Dr. Alex and his team did such an amazing job making her feel comfortable. It was not an easy extraction, but Dr. Alex still made it seem fun. They gave her confidence by telling her over and over how good she was doing, and how proud they were. The tooth was shattered, so they even made her a resin tooth to put under her pillow. I am so grateful that I can always count on their team, especially in an emergency situation! Thank you so much Dr. Alex and team!

They are amazing here!! My daughter had her first two cavities and the way they treated her, gently and kindly, she didn't have a single complaint! My 2 year old cried most of the appt, but when Dr Alex started singing wheels on the bus to him while checking his teeth, he calmed down immediately! Thank you for making my children comfortable at the dentist!!

Dr. Joshi told us our daughter had to get surgery on her mouth and my husband and I told him multiple times we don't have dental insurance. He said our medical insurance will pick up the anesthesia, anesthesiologist and anything that had to do with the actual hospital. We just had to pay Dr. Joshi out of pocket. So we paid Dr. Joshi $4,000. We went to IU Health for her surgery and they "ran our medical insurance" and had us pay a copay at check in. Now we owe $17,000 to IU Health because even after 2 appeals, our insurance says it's not considered medical. Dr. Joshi is a con artist and doesn't care because he's already gotten his $4,000!!!!!!

We sought out this practice for special support to our 11-year old who has special needs. Initial cleanings went well. But he has a chipped tooth that had to be repaired and I was appalled at their approach. A newer dentist was assigned to the visit and they seemed very poorly equipped to deal with an extremely anxious child. The assistants showed no creativity, real compassion, or partnership with me as the parent. Kiddo came away hysterical and traumatized. There was no follow-up from a senior dentist to check on things. Oh, and the filling for the chip came out after 2 days. Needless to say, we won't be returning.

No problems with service or staff. We were billed $465 for two children's cleanings. I paid without asking for a private pay discount because my 2 and 3 year old's were acting up, so I wanted to get out of there ASAP. I called back early the next week (since they are closed on Fridays) and asked for a call back. I needed to call back twice to get someone to call me back. They did and said they normally give a 10% discount on private pay, but wouldn't do it for me since it was after the visit. I asked for an exception given my situation and they refused. Very overpriced dentistry services. Would only recommend if you have good dental insurance for your kids.

I love them but they won't let me take my kids any more because I canceled two apptments for my daughter's extractions and work. I understand though... I lost them a lot of money and that's what matters at the end of the day. Money, not people.

My 1.5 year old had her first visit today and it was a great experience! All of the staff was friendly and the appointment ran smoothly. Dr. Misti and the hygienist, Courtney, took their time with my daughter, answered my questions, and made the visit easy and comfortable. Thank you!

Ive been taking my son here on and off for the past few years (we live kinda far). Each time I go somewhere else, I regret it. My son is treated so well here, hes listened too, and the staff is wonderful! For example, my son had a field day (water balloons& fun involved) moved to the same day as his dental appointment. Thinking the worst and giving it my best shot, I called their office (the worst they could say is no, right?) hoping that we could reschedule (this place is booked out months sometimes--they are THAT good!) and really couldnt afford to wait that long for my sons tooth. They accomodated us with no hesitation at all after I explained the situation. Originally we were scheduled for 9am and they let us have the 8 am appointment. We arrived early (wanted to avoid the rush hour am traffic) and once they heard who it was (the kid whos has field day today--in the morning even too lol), and took us in even EARLIER!! I was dropping him off to school by 8:24am. Seriously the best staff and office we have been too. I will not be going elsewhere again, they always do such good work. No competition. Thank you all so much, and happy birthday Dr.Misti!!

I just can't say enough about this amazing staff. My child has an extreme phobia of dentists and they have been so patient with her and go out of their way by a mile to not only make her more comfortable, but to change the way she thinks of her experience. I am so grateful for them

I can't say enough wonderful things about Dr Misti and the dental assistants at this office! My son has had his cavities filled with zero fear and he is actually pretty excited for his next cleaning. So thankful for this friendly and professional staff and their services. If you're looking for a place to take your child for their first dentist visit, I recommend this place, 10 out of 10.

Highly recommend! I can't say enough positive things about this dentist. Both of my daughters have some apprehension when it comes to dental work, and the dental assistants dentist went above and beyond to explain and help alleviate their fears. The staff is professional, courteous and fantastic at what they do. I never thought I would describe a dental visit as wonderful, but every visit we have had at Fishers Pediatric has been wonderful!

While they take care of the patients, they violate patient rights and deny patient care.

We have been going to this office since my son was a baby (12 years). For some reason this past visit our insurance didn't cover my son's fluoride so I received a text message (not a paper statement) that I owed $40 on Aug 31st. First of all, that is WAY overpriced!!!! I pay $25 for fluoride at an adult dentist office for my own but for a child with less teeth and less work it is almost double that! RIDICULOUS!!!!! I called to question it and they said that was their fee I needed to pay the bill. I asked for a paper statement because I only had the text message to pay off of. There was no mention of the 15 day payment cycle and I had no bill to look at to see that. I would have never even received a paper bill or an email bill if I didn't request it. I got the bill gave it to my husband and sent the payment. I received a text message on 9/17/20 that I now owe $50 dollars because my payment was late! Ok, so first of all, I only found out about the bill on the 31st. It takes 3-5 days for the bill to come in the mail. When you submit a payment electronically (which my husband did) it takes 3 days to process. So for all intensive purposes they allowed our family 7 days to come up with the payment. Because they didn't see "any activity" on the account for 15 days I was automatically charged a $10 late fee, which is $5 dollars more than what it says in their payment policy. Their payment policy also states in there that you would receive a paper statement NOT a text message. My husband actually submitted the payment and we have record of it processing on the 14th day. We sent them proof. They still would not remove the late fee until they get the payment processed through their office. Even Kohls will remove a late fee if you forget to pay a bill and call them...especially if you already tried to pay the bill. The sad part is that it isn't like we aren't trying to pay the bill...we are in the process but the payment is hung up somewhere electronically and still no grace! They make it impossible for families who have to wait for a paycheck or don't have access to email or text messaging to pay bills on time so that they can keep accruing late fees and collect more money. This is for a child's health, not like we went out and bought a new pair of shoes or something. A 15 day payment cycle is completely absurd and thank goodness it was only $40 dollars not a larger amount because we would just keep racking up the late fees! I have always liked this office but now will be looking for other options after this experience!
