Being an orthodontist is a privilege that allows me to make an amazing, positive effect on not only peoples smiles but also their confidence. I enjoy helping people become the best version of themselves by giving them a confident and radiant smile.

I was raised on a farm 20 miles south of Poplar, Montana, in the Charley Creek community. I attended Lambert High School, graduating in 1996. I graduated from MSU-Billings in 2001 with a Bachelors degree in biology and was named Most Outstanding Senior in Biology. In 2002, my wife Michelle and I moved to Denver to attend dental school at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, where I graduated summa cum laude in 2006 with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS).

Desiring to specialize in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, I was privileged to be accepted to a residency during the highly competitive application process. I spent the next 27 months studying and treating patients in an orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado, and graduated in November 2008. During orthodontic residency, I served as class president and was awarded one of only two scholarships for academic and clinical excellence.

Upon receiving my orthodontic certification, my family and I returned to this area, where I joined Dr. T.R. Reiners practice, which is now Fisher Orthodontics. We are excited to be back home among family and friends.

In addition to my formal education, I stay current on the latest trends and technologies to provide patients with the best possible treatment options. I am a member of the Spear Study Group and am the Director of the Give Kids a Smile program for the Williston Dental Society. Additionally, I am a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Orthodontists, and the North Dakota Dental Association.

My wife Michelle and I welcomed our son, Evan, into the world in 2008. When Im not in the office, I spend time hunting, golfing, and watching Evans sporting events. In addition, I enjoy giving back to the community. I am the president of the Society of St Vincent de Paul, a local charity that assists those in need in the area.

We recognize that all of our patients are unique and deserve to receive orthodontic care that reflects their individual needs. Our experienced and talented team is committed to working with you and your family to create a comfortable, stress-free, and rewarding orthodontic experience every time you visit our practice.

The most wonderful day is when we take off a patients braces and they see their new smile for the first time. I work with patients during their visits, assisting the doctor chairside. I make sure Dr. Fisher has everything he needs and I interact with our patients, too. I have worked at this practice since 1994my entire career! Its a great atmosphere and a lot of fun!

I love making a difference in the way people view themselves, and giving them a reason to smile. Its a joy to watch each person change along with their smile. I joined this practice in 2006. As our office manager, I help Dr. Fisher run a top-notch practice. This includes all of the clerical, administrative, and financial aspects of our office.

I have the great pleasure of greeting patients and their families as they arrive. I love getting to know so many interesting people, and seeing each persons new smile at the end of treatment. Ive been a member of this team since 2009. Dr. Fisher and his team are passionate about providing excellent, individual care for each patient.

Since 2012 I 've been helping Dr.Fisher by adjusting braces andpreparing the patients. I love perfecting our patients ' smiles and working in thisfast-paced environment with a team that just 'gets' each other!

Your first exam with Dr. Fisher is complimentary and obligation free. At this visit, your orthodontic needs are assessed and treatment options discussed. If the patient is too young for treatment, or treatment would be more efficient later, they will be placed on a four- to 24-month recall for follow-up. During recall visits (also no charge) the teeth and jaws are monitored for developing problems. With this approach, you have peace of mind knowing your childs needs are being monitored without worrying about cost.

Our promise is to treat your child as we would our own. What exactly does this mean? We will only recommend treatment that is needed and at the most appropriate time. If something can be more effectively treated later with a more reliable result, then that is what we will recommend. Many parents get concerned about the appearance of their childs teeth at an early age when gaps and alignment problems are common. Many of these issues are part of normal development and may not need treatment, or are more effectively treated later when more teeth are present.

Education and experience matter in orthodontics. Dr. Fisher is the only orthodontists in a 100-mile radius. To become an orthodontist one must complete a post-graduate orthodontic residency after completing dental school, an extremely competitive process. This training is unique to orthodontists, who must by law limit their practice to orthodontics. Orthodontics is all we do, so we can focus on getting the best possible result for you or your child.

Sometimes, due to poor growth, breakage, or lack of patient cooperation, alternative approaches need to be taken to ensure a quality result. Years of experience treating patients in residency and practice have given Dr. Fisher the necessary bag of tricks to handle a variety of problems should they arise. Please browse our Before and After section for a sample of cases that we have treated. In our office, we not only strive for excellent esthetics but functional and stable results that cant be seen in pictures.

Following a discussion with the patient/parent and a complete exam and records (photos, X-rays, and impressions), we are able to make an accurate diagnosis and provide a treatment plan that is most appropriate for you or your childs needs. We do not send the records out for someone who has never met or examined you to decide on the treatment you or your child should receive. This is important because we need to reassess treatment progress at every visit and address issues as they arise if need be.

There have been many advances in orthodontics that allow us to treat patients faster, with fewer visits, and do things never before possible. TADs (Temporary Anchorage Devices) allow us to complete movements without affecting surrounding teeth. They can also be used to reduce need for patient cooperation (rubber bands) and even prevent surgical procedures that would have otherwise been necessary. We dont use them in most patients but if the need arises, they are very effective.
