Fisher & Orfaly Dental is a family dental practice started in 1974, offering exceptional dental care for the last 45+ years. Dr. George Orfaly is a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry and has been practicing as a dentist in Salem, MA since 2005. He has consistently improved the lives of his patients by providing them relief, confidence, and healthy smiles. He believes that oral health is directly related to overall health and well-being. Dr. Orfaly has also been an active member of the American Dental Association, Massachusetts Dental Society, and North Shore District Dental Society.

Dr. John Fisher is a graduate of Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry and he brings a rich experience of 45+ years of practicing dentistry. He is an advisory member of the Oral Health Committee of the Massachusetts Medical Society. He has served as Trustee and President of the Massachusetts Dental Society and currently chairs the Better Oral Health for Massachusetts Coalition.

My experience at Dr Fisher and Orfalys office has been the same since day one ,ten years ago when urged from my mom to transfer over to the Hawthorne Blvd office.Wonderful! After my visit with Dr. Orfaly this morning, I decided a raving review was long overdue. Due to an ill hygienist, and because I was the first patient of the day, I observed the office from a different perspective. Front Desk Coordinator, Kerrin, greeted me with a smile while she and Dr. Orfaly seamlessly juggled the schedule, ensuring no one's day would be disrupted. Dr. Orfaly asked if I minded if he did my routine cleaning. Of course, I happily consented. I have always been impressed with the level of care I have received and found in my nearly 20 years of being a patient of 1st, Dr. Fisher's, and then Dr. Orfaly's. Clearly, this practice puts patient care above all else. I highly recommend this practice.

Our family has gotten our dental care (routine and otherwise) from Fisher & Orfaly for over 20 years. They have, without exception, provided compassionate, clearly explained, patient-centered, top-quality dental services and I recommend them without reservation. One of my adult children even went to them for an evaluation of some complicated work they had done elsewhere (out of state). I especially appreciate the measures their practice took during the pandemic including installing hospital-grade air filtration to maximize safety for patients and staff.

I am someone who has been terrified of the Dentist from a very young age, but after seeing Dr. Orfaly and his team over the past couple of months I have 100% gotten over my fears. I have never felt more comfortable and taken care of by the staff. Everyone is so nice and down to earth they make you feel welcome! Dr. Orfaly even came in on a day they were closed because I was having extreme tooth pain, and he totally fixed the problem, I will never forget that. Im so happy I decided to go to Fischer & Orfaly, best decision Ive ever made!

Dr. Oraly did my cleaning during today's visit. The experience was not only wonderful, but he also made sure to fix a tooth sensitivity issue I have been experiencing by bonding the tooth to resolve the problem. I would highly recommend Dr. Oraly to anyone looking for a quality dentist with a professional and courteous staff. Taylor is my regular hygienist who educates me and always makes sure any issues I have with my teeth get fixed. Dr. Orfaly received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1999. While at Tufts, Dr. Orfaly received the Tufts Merit Scholarship for academic excellence. Upon receiving his degree, he successfully completed a general practice residency at the Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Orfaly has been an active member of the American Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, and the North Shore District Dental Society.

He has served as the membership liaison for the North Shore as well as the coordinator of a mobile dental van that provided dental treatment to underserved areas on the North Shore. In 2009, he was selected as a 'Top 10 Under 10' dentist in Massachusetts. This is an honor bestowed upon him by his peers as an active and successful dentist practicing dentistry for 10 or fewer years.

Dr. Orfaly received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Clark University where he was the recipient of the Robert Goddard Merit Scholarship. He graduated with Latin honors in 1995. While at Clark, he met his wife Sharon.

The Orfalys live in Marblehead with their three children. If not at the office, you will likely find Dr. Orfaly at a local baseball field or basketball court coaching his children's teams. He is on the Board of Directors of Marblehead Youth Baseball in which he has served as President. The Orfalys are very active in several philanthropic organizations in the community.

Dr. Fisher has been active in the community having served as President and Board member of the Salem YMCA for 25 years. He is a member and past President of the Salem Rotary Club. Dr. Fisher is a Board member of Catholic Charities North and an advisory member of the Oral Health Committee of the Massachusetts Medical Society. He has served as Trustee and President of the Massachusetts Dental Society and currently chairs the Better Oral Health for Massachusetts Coalition. He lectures on community water fluoridation throughout the Commonwealth and is the State Representative for Oral Health 2020.

Additionally, he sits on the advisory board for Forsythe School of Dental Hygiene. He is a boating enthusiast and past Commodore of the Corinthian Yacht Club. He continues to enjoy skiing, tennis, and golf.

Dr. Orfaly is a fantastic dentist. He is professional, caring, and responsive. I appreciate him squeezing me in on short notice and following up to check on me after-hours. The technicians are great, too. I highly recommend his practice.

Dr Orfaly is the best dentist around! I have alot of anxiety around going to the dentist & Dr Orfaly always makes sure to check in to see how I'm doing & is so nice. If a referral is needed to a specialist, he makes the call for you & gets you an appt quickly (mine was even the same day) I love how they book you with the same dental hygienist for all cleanings.. Adds another level of comfort... Shoutout to mine, Kathy!!

Dr.Orfaly is great, he listened to all of my needs and wants & matched me to the best solution tailored to my problems. My whole life I have had imperfections with my teeth that I never thought would be fixed & I am now able to smile with 100% confidence thanks to him and the technology he has access too. I would give 10 stars if I could! Ive been a patient of Dr Orfaly for about 20yrs. I was so happy with his work I followed him when he moved to Salem to partner with Dr Fisher. The kindness, compassion and professionalism from each and every staff member is commendable. I have had quite a few issues with my teeth and Dr Orfaly (along with his right hand girl Mirella!) has been there to help fix and support me beyond what one would expect. Aside from being up to date on the latest and greatest in dentistry everyone here treats you like an old friend not just a patient. I look forward to my cleanings with Kathy not only because her humor makes for a great visit but because of her attention to detail in getting the job done. I HIGHLY recommend this practice. I had an amazing experience with Dr Orfaly. He explained all the treatment and has lots of experience. The staff is very friendly and very welcoming. They make you feel right at home. Dr Orfaly Assistant is very professional and very personable.

Kathy began her career in dentistry in 1979 when she joined our practice as a dental assistant. Her passion for the dental field grew to the point she decided to obtain her hygiene license.She graduated from Middlesex Community College in 1987 as a registered dental hygienist. Kathy's warm personality has helped her form strong bonds with her patients. She enjoys educating and assisting her patients with their oral health needs.Kathy and her husband live in Salem where they raised their three grown children that bring them tremendous joy. Kathy enjoys walking and spending time with friends and family.

She is passionate about giving her patients a positive dental experience. She enjoys educating her patients on how oral health is important to their overall health. She is always enthusiastic and enjoys the relationships that she develops with long-term patients.

Taylor grew up in Marblehead and Salem and now lives in Beverly. In addition to her love of dentistry, she enjoys the outdoors, gardening, the beach, kayaking, crafting, organizing, spending time with family and friends, and her lovable yellow lab, Dory.

Amy joined our practice in 1993 after graduating from Middlesex Community College with her dental hygiene degree in 1992. Amy enjoys interacting with her patients and educating them about their dental health.

Originally from Marblehead, Amy lives in Woburn with her husband, Scott, and their two daughters. Amy volunteers to help many charities. She recently completed the MuckFest mud race that benefited multiple sclerosis. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and going to their vacation home in Maine.

Joy graduated with honors from the Catholic University of America in 1967 and began working as a marketing research analyst. In 1973, she received a master's degree from Temple University while teaching mathematics and science in Philadelphia.

Joy has been active in many community organizations including North Shore Catholic Charities, Red Cross swimming, Girl Scouts, North Shore Medical Center, and a corporation member of Partners Healthcare System. She received the City of Salem Volunteer Service Award in 2000 and the Vivian Chaput Award from the Massachusetts Dental Society in 2016.

Since starting in our practice in 2005 as a licensed dental assistant, Mirela has been an integral part of our patients dental care. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry. Mirela gets great joy in helping patients feel comfortable while in the dental chair. Mirela and Dr. Orfaly work seamlessly while providing optimal dental treatment.Mirela lives in Peabody where she raised her daughter, Linda. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

I was not a fan of going to the dentist! One might say afraid but thanks to the amazing team at Fisher & Orfaly I am back on track with my 6 month cleanings. The team did an amazing job calming my fears and I can actually say I may even enjoy going to the dentist now! The team is professional, accommodating, and they do a fabulous job cleaning my teeth! I am so grateful that they have me back on track with great dental habits. They certainly have given me something to smile about.

After having a negative experience with a filling with a past dentist, I was nervous to go to a new dentist with tooth pain. Dr. Orfaly and team were very understanding and knowledgable when walking me through my options for a cracked tooth. 10/10 would recommend due to their professionalism, attention to detail, and level of care.
