New Modern Office Dr. Cass Burrell is excited to share his recently opened new high tech office. While at First Impressions Orthodontics in Fairfield, you can expect state-of-the-art treatment and care. While many dental offices offer some types of orthodontics treatment, our office consists of certified orthodontic specialists. This means that our orthodontists have completed the required training general dentists need, as well as several years of post-graduate training in orthodontics.

Our doctors are certified orthodontic specialists wherein they have completed several years of post-graduate training in orthodontics. We Use The Latest, Most Advanced Technology We use the latest, most advanced technology in orthodontics to provide you with accurate, fast and comfortable treatment. To help us stay abreast of the latest orthodontic technology and advances, we regularly attend continuing educational courses and seminars.
We Have Two Centralized Locations While many orthodontic practices have offices spread out over several cities, counties and even states, we have two centrally-located orthodontic offices in Fairfield and Norwalk, CT. This helps our patients gain easy access to the orthodontic treatment they need.
Sterilization We always adhere to the strict guidelines for bacterial control and sterilization set forth by the CDC and OSHA. We use disposable tools and materials whenever possible and what tools must be re-used are always thoroughly cleaned and sterilized between patients.
Retention The day your braces come off is when you start the retention phase of your treatment. Because we want you to enjoy your great new smile for a lifetime, the cost of a retention system is included with your orthodontic treatment.

First, the higher rating on Google is for the prior orthodontists who worked here. Any review that mentions Dr. Kass or Dr. Matt does not apply to this practice. Do not waste your time here. There are understaffed and closed several days a week. It is impossible to get timely appointments. In addition, the current orthodontist overcorrected my son's teeth numerous times and just keeps saying, "well, you want your son's teeth to be straight don't you?" There is a lack of professionalism and the practice now feels like a factory. As a result of having to wait longer than normal for appointments our course of care has been extended by months. There are much better practices to go to. Stay away from this one.

I preface by saying that I'm an adult in my 30s and so this is the second time I have braces due to an awful experience with a dentist I had when I was 12 with a different business and just pure luck overall with how my permanent teeth came in. From the consultation and throughout - everyone that I worked with was professional, very communicative and overall empathetic to my hesitation and overall anxiety for this process. It wasn't just braces but obtaining an implant so I had to work with a team of doctors. Any time I had questions about the process or next steps everyone was very helpful and kind. I just got my braces off today, working on a retainer and I'm overall happy I made the decision to come here.

First off, I want to say First Impressions has lost my business and me as a client. I got my braces done at this office and now my permanent retainer (was loosened) not broken, so I called the office to make an appointment for a repair. When I called and asked how much it would be I was told "Don't worry just come in and well talk about it when you arrive to the office. I drive 35 minutes to my appointment to be told "Its $150 for us to just diagnose you and take a look at your teeth, that does not include the work you need." I said "I just need it glued back on so how much is the work?" They told me "WE ARE NOT SURE UNTIL AFTER WE LOOK AT YOUR TEETH SO YOU NEED TO PAY $150 THEN WHATEVER THE TOTAL IS AFTER YOUR OFFICE FEE PLUS WORK (they were not sure of the total) But we do know its $150 to be seen, $88 PER TOOTH and whatever else we find. So First Impressions wanted me to pay $150 for a view of my teeth, and then pay whatever surprise total after. So I drove 35 minutes to be told what I could of been told over the phone, they wasted my gas and time. SECONDLY, I called another orthodontics office (an office who did not put my braces on and I was a new client) say "You need a retainer repair that is easy, $75, let us know when you want to come in. So because of First Impressions unprofessionalism, refusing to give me a price SO I CAN FINANICALLY PLAN ACCORDINGLY, and wasting my time and could not give me clear answers, I will never return to this shady and money hungry office. I will be going to a new office to pay $75 for glue to be placed back on my retainer.

Awful, save your money and go elsewhere. They overcharge you for absolutely everything, and give your children painful appliances for conditions they don't even have. The office often gives incorrect pricing information and miscommunication is rampant. My children were constantly given new employees who were honestly clueless, with little supervision from the actual doctor. The amount of times my children had to sit for at least an hour for the intern to figure out what they were doing was obscene. I also had to come back in multiple times to have the orthodonture work corrected when the new employees made mistakes. I would give the practice zero stars if possible.

Dr. Matt and Dr. Cass are both amazing! I came to them wanting to move a few teeth after having braces years ago and opted for Invisalign. I am so happy with the outcome and they couldn't have been more attentive during the entire process. Thank you!

I love all the doctors and staff at this office. This place goes above and beyond to make you kid comfortable and happy. My nine year old had a pallet expander put in his mouth the other day and was having a good deal of trouble swallowing his food. He was concerned about choking and hadn't eaten anything for hours. I brought him back to the office where the orthodontic assistant and one of the managers calmed him down and quelled his fears within minutes. The manager actually went across the street, bought him a strawberry smoothie and had him try swallowing it in front of her. It worked like a charm ! He was no longer afraid and is now adjusting well. These people are THE best !
