Dr. Jennifer (Gawthrop) Wells was born and raised in West Virginia. She studied Biology for three years at West Virginia University until her early acceptance into the School of Dentistry in 2009 and was granted a Regents Bachelors of Arts Degree in 2012. Dr. Jennifer received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from West Virginia University in 2013 to become a first generation dentist. Dr. Wells focus is on comprehensive dentistry while educating her patients on the importance of oral health and its correlation to total body health. Dr. Wells believes a healthy and confident smile can help her patients achieve their best First Impression.
Dr. Wellsis a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Jennifer enjoys furthering her knowledge in the ever changing world of dentistry with continuing education classes to better treat her patients. Dr. Jennifer and her husband, Zach married in 2015 and currently reside in Cornelius. Their daughter, Adalyn was welcomed in December of 2017.
Kim has been with the First Impressions team since day one. She works very hard to provide her patients with a level of comfort and a familiar face. Kim treats all patients as she would her own family. In this regard, she provides her patients with a comfortable environment to achieve and maintain their optimum oral health through gum tissue management, routine cleanings, and our recall program.
Kim is married to her husband Scotty and has one son, Cody. She is an active member in her church and loves to run and read in her spare time. Kim graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in 1987 where she received an award for Professionalism. Kim is a Registered Dental Hygienist with 28 years of experience.
Angie joined the First Impressions team in October 2018 as our Hygienist. She graduated in 2017 from Central Piedmont Community College. She is originally from Winston-Salem and recently moved to Concord three years ago. Angies favorite thing about being a hygienist is making people feel confident about their smile! She loves spending time with her husband Adam and goldendoodle Nash. Outside of the office, Angie enjoys working out and going to local breweries.
Katie joined the First Impressions team in 2016 and is our clinical coordinator. You will find her smiling face in the back office making sure all of your needs are taken care of during your visit and that everything run smoothly. She is a born and raised in North Carolina girl. She is married to her best friend and has a two-year-old daughter named Sadie who is her life (Sadie is actually a staffy pitbull). In her free time, you will find her redecorating her home for the hundredth time in her southern farmhouse style and sitting in her rocking chairs on her front porch with her husband. You will never catch her without her nails done and she has a Nike shoe collection that would make most people jealous. Katies favorite thing about working at our office is getting to know and building relationships with patients.
Brooklin joined the First Impressions dental family in May 2018. As a patient care coordinator and one of the first smiling faces you see in the office, she strives to provide our patients with the utmost high-quality healthcare and ensure patients understand every aspect of their care. She enjoys working at First Impressions Family Dentistry because she loves working in a friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, meeting new people, and helping patients feel better about themselves by being part of a diligent practice providing great dentistry. Outside of the office, Brooklin enjoys spending time with her husband Brandon and dog Max in their home in Lexington, North Carolina. You can also find her shopping on Amazon, eating at Taco Bell and attending concerts with her friends.
Sarah was born and raised in Pennsylvania but has been in the Charlotte area for the last three years and has fallen in love with the south. She has been with First Impressions Family Dentistry since 2018. She loves spending her time at work helping her teammates and providing world class service to our patients.
Outside of the office, you will find Sarah spending time with her family (specifically her twin nieces), cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, and exploring the city with her friends. You will always find her laughing and having a great time no matter where she is.
Shelby was born and raised and still resides in Concord. Shelby has been with our team since October 2018 and is one of the smiling faces greeting you when you arrive! She strives to make you feel welcome and comfortable while your here. Her favorite part about working at First Impressions is the welcoming and positive workplace Dr. Wells and team provides! Outside of the office if shes not shopping, you can find her babysitting, traveling with her husband or trying out a new restaurant!
Amanda was born and raised in Kannapolis and now resides in Mount Pleasant. Amanda has been with our team since December 2019 and is one of the smiling faces that will be assisting you with Dr. Wells! She has been a dental assistant for 16 years! Amanda is married to her husband Jon and has one son, Landon. Her favorite thing about working at First Impressions is the comfortable atmosphere and the quality dental care. If she is not at the baseball field cheering him on you can find her shopping or hanging out with friends!

First visit today and I was totally awestruck at the friendliest of the staff. Very through in the examination and explained all procedures Very Professional. I was given a tour of their State of the Art facility. Looking forward to my next appointment. Thank You all for being Caring and looking out for my needs. Love my new Family !!!!!

I absolutely love First Impressions Family Dentistry! The staff were amazing, knowledgeable, friendly and very welcoming. Each person I spoke to was very professional all while ensuring I was as comfortable as possible. Every question I had was answered and I left with no concerns. All I can say is WOW, new customer here and I am very impressed with the level of professionalism here at this office. From the initial phone call to see if they accept new patients all the way through to having services performed. The whole team was nothing less than stellar as far as I can say. I just moved here from Delaware and I'd have to say that I chose the right place for my dental needs! This practice is absolutely amazing!! They explain everything so you understand what is recommended and upfront with the costs. They are sincere, professional and great at what they do!! Unfortunately for me, after having my semi annual cleaning, it was discovered I needed to have a crown replaced due to a cavity. Once again Dr. Jennifer and her amazing staff put me at ease, explain the situation to me and did the work with no pain involved. This dental office is one of the best in the area and I would highly recommend you and your family choosing first impressions dentistry for all your dental needs Recently had my first visit with Dr. Wells and her staff. I found everyone to be very caring and friendly. I highly recommend this practice.

Dr. Wells and her staff are phenomenal. I can't say thank you enough to everyone there. They were patient, extremely kind, and understanding. I had a potentially life threatening infection in my gums and they were quick, efficient, and very informative every step. They checked, double checked, and triple checked to make sure I wasn't in any pain and that I was comfortable.
