Dr. Haag received his dental education from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1971. He served for three years in the U.S. Navy before establishing a private practice in Clairemont, San Diego in 1974.
Dr. Haag is a past President of the San Diego County Dental Society, a member of the American Dental Association and has served as a Trustee to the California Dental Association. He has been active in continuing education courses to stay on top of the new and latest advancements in Dentistry.
Dr. Shawna sincerely understands the importance of a gentle touch. She has had the opportunity to refine her skills with continuing education courses, as well as actively participating in volunteer mission trips to lower-income countries.
In her free time, Dr. Shawna loves travelling, counting Spain, Greece and Italy to be among her favourite destinations. Anyone who has met Dr. Fariba knows shes a huge foodie and will always take any opportunity to try a new restaurant. Above all, Dr. Fariba finds the chance to spend time with her family, and especially spoiling her niece, to be the most fulfilling part of being in her hometown that holds such a special place in her heart.

I did not have Dr. Tina. I had a gentleman and he was very thoughtful and saw me safely to my car because I had a touch of vertigo while in his office.

Love the Cerec technology crown procedure. Treatment was completed in under two hours and I left with a beautiful crown. It looks and feels great.

LOVE this office! Dr. Fariba, Dr. Katami, and the entire team, especially my new Hygienist, "Sarah", are spectacular! Their service and honest concern for my dental health are very much appreciated. Sarah was so gentle and pleasant getting my teeth cleaned. I had a lot of build-up (hadn't been in 10 months) and she was so gracious, positive, and reassuring for being there today even though my gums were a mess (she cleaned them up beautifully)! I rebooked in 4 months!

They are a super hard working team and confident and they have really helped me throughout the years keep what's left of my teeth. Very Professional and go the extra mile to make sure you are informed about what they are planning to do. I have had many procedures done here and have never had a problem afterward. I have seriously bad teeth and have had implants & sinus augmentations done, they have called afterward to make sure I was okay. They have fixed my teeth, got me use to getting them cleaned regularly, and I will be a customer for life. The people they employ must be happy because you see the same faces every time you go in. They have state of the art imaging equipment and the office always looks clean and professional.

New hygienist listened to me, thorough and knowledgeable. I also am very pleased with two prior visits for crowns. I was not so pleased with prior temporary hygienist who ignored my request to not use water pick as primary cleaning tool.

They are using new technology to create crowns on the same day, so it's not necessary to come back for a return to fit the permanent crown. Experience in getting a new crown was quick and painless.

I have been coming here for a long time and everybody here is great. Matt is a master of cleaning my teeth without hitting the sensitive spots near the gumline that fill my entire existence with pain if they are not treated gently, and I very much appreciate it. The staff is friendly and don't judge me much for not getting my wisdom teeth out, even though Dr. Haag has been trying to convince me to do that for literal decades. Great dentists! Update: I am adding to this review because I just had a great experience getting a chipped filling repaired. The process was totally comfortable, and I was in and out in less than thirty minutes. I also finally relented and let them take my wisdom teeth out late last year, and that process was amazing too and healed nicely over time. I continue to recommend their services.

My daughter needed some teeth pulled for orthodontic work she will have later. They were all super patient and gentle with her, working with her while she was nervous and willing to go at her pace. I believe we were successful in removing the teeth because of their kindness and patience. Thank you so much for helping us through this difficult procedure!

Taylor is a great hygienist Professional and personable. Taylor educated me on teeth whitening and provided tips to reduce sensitivity. Her cleaning technique was thorough without being unnecessarily aggressive. Taylor is a great addition to Dr. Fariba's practice.

Dr.Farriba and staff are kind,considerate and professional She did four crowns for me and they all fit and perform as new. I'm in my 7th generation of unfortunately too many visits to the dentist and I have to maintain that First Impressions Dental is by far the best practice I've had the pleasure to use. It's like a well-oiled machine. The sanitary practices are to CDC recommendations and probably beyond. Matt's an outstanding hygienist along with Dr. Farriba and Dr. Khatomi. It's a do it all shop now with in house work. I can't recommend them enough. You won't be disappointed.
