A lot of my patients my friends have been with me for years. Ive seen them meet the girl/guy, marry the girl/guy, and start a family. Ive been with them for major life moments and changes; that is fulfilling, professionally and personally.
My team and I care about who our patients are outside of the dental chair. We love that we can give each person a smile they are proud of, a smile they share with pride and confidence during the special moments of their lives.
Everyone comes in with different needs, different desires, different budgets, and different concerns. I have always placed great emphasis on designing a program for care that is unique to each individual. I am at my happiest when Im able to help a person find their smile and establish a lasting friendship with them in the process.
Ive been practicing dentistry for 30 years. I wanted a profession where I could be of service to others and saw that potential in dentistry. I also have always loved working with my hands and am drawn to aesthetics, whether building models, practicing calligraphy, or making a smile a little more warm and lovely.
When we meet, you wont be treated like another number. Instead, you will be treated as a friend and a true, vital part of our First Impressions Dental Care family. I like to spend time with my patients, to get to know who they are, and set and strengthen the foundation for a long-lasting relationship. You will never feel rushed through a visit, or walk out the door without your questions fully answered. When youre here, you are my number-one priority.
Since finishing dental school, I have constantly sought ways of further expanding my knowledge and skills. By staying current on the latest research, as well as new techniques and technologies, Im able to identify the options that benefit my patients in their dental care and in their overall well-being.
Im a Philadelphia native whos called Issaquah home for many years. My greatest personal passion is my family, including my dogs. Being with my loved ones is a priority, whether Im spending time with my dogs or golfing with my sons.
Meet Kimmie and Kuno, our office comfortdogs! Kimmie is grey and six years old. Kuno is white and just nine months old. They are both Havanese and hypoallergenic, which makes them perfect office dogs!

To ensure that patients completely understand their treatment, Dr. Sherman and our treatment coordinators goes over everything in writing, taking the time to answer any questions and repeat treatment options. We also offer complimentary second opinions, as we believe that treatment planning should be a collaborative effort, not a marketing ploy.

My family and I have been patients of Dr Ron and his outstanding team for over 20 years. These people have been the best by far of any dental team we have ever experienced. Our kids now live across the country and still make sure to schedule their checkups when they are in town. If you are looking for a Dentist that really focuses on your wellbeing, I could not recommend a better place than First Impressions Dental Care.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sherman's for 14 years and he and his staff have been amazing! Everyone is so friendly and professional. On a few occasions, I have needed to be seen right away for a dental problem or emergency and he always made room in his schedule. Most recently, I got veneers and he worked tirelessly to make them perfect! I waited 65 years for my beautiful smile! Thank you Dr. Sherman!

I've been going to Dr Sherman since 2018 and could not be happier with the care and personal attention I receive. The staff is amazingly attentive and efficient. They know me by name and are always very welcoming. When I call, they answer immediately and take time to resolve my issues/questions quickly. The hygienists are kind, thorough and gentle. I also have found them very knowledgeable, suggesting things I could change in home care and slow alleging the doctor to potential concerns. As for Dr Sherman, I have never had a dentist who is so fast and painless. He remembers every treatment he has given me and always asks how the tooth is doing. He's the best and I Highly recommend him.

There is simply no better dental experience than First Impressions and Dr. Sherman. I have been with them for over 20 years and they completely changed my view of "the dentist". Here they care about your individual needs, never lecture, and are always 5 steps ahead of anything that could happen with your teeth. Their proactive preventative approach has kept me healthy, costs minimal, but more than anything - they never recommend anything you don't need. Because of their long standing reputation of excellence, they never go for the quick buck. They care about every person the way they need to be cared for which is rare these days. Couldn't recommend more. Simply the best.

Best Dentist around! DR. Ron has such a gentle hand. I am severely afraid of needles and he makes bets with me on our visits that I will not feel it! Most of the time it's my anxiety leading up to it, but he calmy talks with me and before you know it...damn it he won again! Thanks Dr. Ron and Dental Family for taking such good of my family!

I came to First Impressions and Dr. Sherman after the "family" dentist retired. The team at First Impressions has made going to the dentist a stress free and honestly enjoyable experience. Dr. Sherman and the team at First Impressions are friendly, skilled and caring. They transformed the experience from dread and anxiety to ease and comfort. From the "zero pain" injections to the gentle and patient focused cleanings, the staff at First Impressions is top notch. Also, Dr. Sherman will not recommend unneeded treatments. They take time to explain why they make recommendations for treatment and do not push unnecessary procedures on you. When work beyond cleaning is required, it is quick and focused on patient comfort. I cannot say enough good things about First Impressions. I recommend them to everyone who is looking for a new dentist. My whole family sees Dr. Sherman and his team now, and everyone loves them. You can't go wrong with First Impressions. Highly recommend!

I highly recommend Dr. Sherman and his staff. We have been going to First Impressions Dental for over 20 years and have always had great service. We even kept Dr. Sherman as our dentist when we lived in other parts of the country. Dr. Sherman has always been attentive to our dental needs and has even made arrangements to expedite procedures and has provided care on days the practice was closed when needed. He and his staff are genuinely concerned for the health of his clients.

If you have any filling you need done or anything go here really! As someone who not just has a fear of needles but has a whole area in my head dedicated to the phobia of it essentially the shots were way simpler than expected and past that went beautifully, my cleanings were also a breeze! Everyone at First Impressions is super great. Even though they are really busy they make an effort to get everyone scheduled and taken care of. The work they do is fast and well done. I got 4 fillings done in an hour which was way faster than where I've been other places, but the quality of work doesn't suffer at all. In fact it's better. They have the speed and quality of work you want.

Dr. Ron is the best dentist in the world! He has been our family and friends dentist for over 8 years now and he is extremely professional, honest, knowledgeable, kind and funny. My kids love him and the office staff! As far as for myself- he changed my life by gifting me beautiful smile! I was struggling all my life with confidence because of my teeth and Dr. Ron found the best and affordable solution for me. I am forever grateful for his professionalism and honesty.

The staff at first impressions are excellent all the way around. From the dental hygienist and dental assistants to the administrative folks and of course, Dr. Sherman himself. They are highly professional and well-trained and show that they care about their patients on every single visit. They even provide coffee & tea in the waiting room which has a cool aquarium (not that I've ever sat there more than a few minutes). Keep up the great work!

Dr Sherman & his team are so wonderful. I had terrible problems with a molar that had been half crowed (in the UK) then full crowned (by Dr Sherman) then the tooth cracked & I had to decide if I wanted an implant or a bridge. Dr Sherman & his team supported me through the entire process & refunded me the cost of the full crown in the process. I am very scared of dentists & am very pain sensitive in my mouth. I cant recommend these guys highly enough. I now have a bridge, a full smile & (the best bit) i'm not bankrupt!!!

Dr. Ron Sherman with First Impressions Dental Care is "Pawsitively" the best. On my initial consultation for a crown he spent time with me explaining everything. I told him and his staff I was very nervous about it but they put my mind at ease. Two weeks later I had the permanent crown done and they were fast and efficient. They truly care about their patients. Dr. Ron loves dogs and normally would have them at the office as "Comfort Dogs" for patients. Unfortunately, because of Covid the fur babies have to stay home.. If you are looking for a top notch dentist plus an amazing staff make sure to see Dr. Ron at First Impressions

I just had my 2nd of 2 check-ups for 2020 with Dr. Sherman and his staff. My family and I have been patients of Dr. Sherman for 25 years and I thought it's time to highlight him and his practice on social media. I met Dr. Sherman based on a personal referral when I was asking co-workers for a kid friendly dentist for my 2 girls. Needless to say, my teeth did require some additional work over the years besides the regular cleanings. And I am extremely happy with his work. His staff is the best too. Always friendly, smiling, helpful and professional. On that alone, I highly recommend First Impressions/Dr. Sherman and his staff. But there is also his personal side. I don't socialize with Dr. Sherman (although I find him to be the type of person I could easily have a regular coffee or beer with), but I enjoy seeing him twice a year however brief it may be - not something people often say about going to the dentist! It's actually kind of nice having a medical professional that takes a genuine interest in you, your family and your well being.

I have been Dr. Sherman's patient for roughly 8 years now. Every single time I come in, I feel like I'm walking into the home of my second family. Everyone there is so welcoming and wonderful. On top of a wonderful dentist and his great front desk staff, Joyce is the best hygienist, and healed my gums. I look forward to my appointment every 6 months! See you all soon!
