Dr. Hobart is a native of Florida. He grew up in South Florida and North Georgia. He graduated from The College of Charleston in 1993 and The Medical University of South Carolina in 1997. Following graduation, Dr. Hobart had a solo dental practice in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 2008, he moved to Bluffton with his wife, Holly, and his son.
Dr. Hobart believes a comprehensive approach to dentistry is most beneficial to you. He enjoys helping you improve your function as well as appearance with implant and esthetic dentistry. A member of the American Dental Association and the South Carolina Dental Association, Dr. Hobart actively pursues continuing education.
Dr. Ulbrich grew up in Rochester, Minnesota. She graduated from Saint Marys University of Minnesota with a degree in biology. Following graduation, she moved to Charleston, South Carolina to attend the Medical University of South Carolina, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Ulbrich is committed to providing her patients personalized, comprehensive care, all while assuring her patient has a pleasant dental experience. She is a member of the American Dental Association, South Carolina Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Association of Women Dentists.
Tammy graduated from Greenville Technical College in 2005 and has been part of our office since 2010. She enjoys getting to know our patients and helping them feel comfortable, and she also loves the teamwork we have among coworkers. Tammy is certified in local infiltration anesthesia. Tammy feels that her job is an extension of her personality because she enjoys cleaning things and promoting health. Tammy has been married to her sweet husband for over five years and they have a beautiful baby girl.
Since 2009, Sarahi has working with our team as a dental assistant. She enjoys meeting our new patients and likes that she can learn something new every day. Sarahi is bilingual in English and Spanish. Sarahi is dedicated to helping patients and making them feel comfortable during their time at our office.
Lisa is also another one of our newer team members here at First Dental of Bluffton. Lisa a born and raised Bluffton native. She has been a dental assistant since 2002, she was trained by Dr. Guy Matthews. Lisa loves to make every patient leave with a smile and enjoys educating patients with her personable attitude on dental care and treatment. She loves working with our ethical and conservative doctors. Outside of the office, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and exploring around Bluffton.
Holly has been with our team since 2008. She enjoys having coworkers whom she has worked with for so long and knowing our patients by name as well. Holly is always pleasant and cheerful, as well as knowledgeable to helpful to patients in any way she can.

Office staff caused me stress They told me I am on preferred list w insurance and I was not. Also they had me calling insurance to confirm I have the same federal dental policy from age 23-53 I need a dental cleaning I canceled my appt due to the disorganization at the front desk schedulers Not rocket s science people I am a paying customer all I need is a dental cleaning Totally wasted my valuable time

The seating in the waiting room is comfortable. My wait time was very short and when it was my turn I was greeted very warmly by my technician. She was very friendly yet professional and did a great job on my teeth. She was very thorough with my cleaning and I was very satisfied with my visit.

Do not get your dental implants here, they will not match at all. Numerous phone calls to office with no follow up. Fine for cleanings but beyond there go somewhere else.

Professional and friendly. Doctor and dental assistant are courteous, explain what they are doing, and are always concerned about their patient's comfort. Billing and insurance matters are expertly and timely handled by Ms. Molly. For the first time in my life I'm not afraid to go to the dentist!

I am utterly frightened of dentist offices. This place allowed me to relax bc their staff was so pleasant and soothing. My dentist was awesome. Despite my fear of pain, because of past bad experiences elsewhere, I felt nothing! Which is glorious!!! I was cared for and understood that I was in panic mode with anxiety at the ready at any moment. I left with tears of joy because I had such relief. Thank you! You and your staff are awesome and needed for all but especially for people like me.

We were sad to loose our dentist when we relocated to SC but so happy that our new GP recommended First Dental of Bluffton. Very friendly relaxed atmosphere. Dentist was spot on correcting an issue I was having. They are also taking all precautions with regard to Covid.
