The administrative team facilitates scheduling and is knowledgeable about dental insurance policies, while the highly-experienced and fully certified staff of dental assistants and hygienists are dedicated to ensuring treatment is safe and comfortable. The entire staff adheres to the strictest protocols of infection control and sterilization, and the dental team are all CPR certified.
Susan, the office manager, has been working at the dental practice for over 20 years. She earned a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Southern Maine. Susan loves the location of our dental office with its amazing view of the San Francisco Bay and Golden Gate Bridges. She also enjoys working with a friendly, highly qualified team, an amazing dentist, and exceptional patients who have become family. Susan is a team player who helps wherever she can and strives to provide the best possible customer service and care.
Patty most enjoys the social aspects of the job by getting to know the patients, making them feel comfortable before and during their treatment and overall providing outstanding customer service. She truly cares about the patients and the practice.
Hannah grew up in Sacramento but recently moved to San Francisco and joined the practice in May 2019. She loves the great location of the office and being apart of a team that feels more like family. Hannah stays active in the office aiding patients in the front with any scheduling needs; as well as assisting in the back office whenever needed. Hannah knows the importance of health and fitness and enjoys staying active with working out, doing yoga and cooking. In her free time, she makes trips to Sacramento to visit her twin sister and her Australian Shepherd, Wiley.
In my free time I like to spend time with my husband and two children. I also like to work-out and cook.I am very proud to be part of a dental team whereby doctors and staff have as their main objective toprovide comprehensive service to patients.
I was born and raised in California. I went to Cabrlllo College In Aptos, CA and received my RDH. I have a passion In always furthering my education.In my free time I enjoy playing volleyball, hiking, reading, and enjoying my friends and family.
Dr. Potesta-Knoll has extensive experience treating patients of all ages and performing complex oral procedures, including rehabilitative and reconstructive procedures following trauma, cancer treatment, and surgery. Her special interests include removable and fixed prostheses, dental implant restorations, occlusal and TMJ disorders, and restoration of maxillofacial prostheses.
After receiving her dental degree, Dr. Potesta-Knoll completed a three-year residency in Advanced Prosthodontics and earned her Masters degree in Implantology from The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), where she also completed a one-year fellowship program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics. Following her training and education, she joined the faculty in the UAB School of Dentistry Department of Prosthodontics. Before setting up her practice in California, Dr. Potesta-Knoll was on the staff of the prestigious MD Anderson Cancer Center in Orlando, Florida. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Potesta-Knoll is a clinical instructor at the University of the Pacific Arthur Dugoni School of Dentistry in the Department of Removable Prosthodontics.
Dr. Potesta-Knoll is board-eligible for the American Board of Prosthodontics and is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, the International Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and the San Francisco Dental Society.
When not caring for her patients, Dr. Potesta-Knoll participates in medical mission trips and has taken part in trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic, performing cleft palate surgeries and implant procedures. The mother of three children, Dr. Potesta-Knoll was born in Lima, Peru, and speaks both English and Spanish.
Dr. Sadowsky is professor in the department of Preventive and Restorative Dentistry at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. He was in full-time private practice limited to prosthodontics for 35 years. Dr. Sadowsky is past-president of the American Prosthodontic Society and president of the Pacific Coast Society for Prosthodontics, as well as fellow of the Academy of Prosthodontics and the American College of Prosthodontists. He has directed the American College of Prosthodontists Annual Review Course for 5 years. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontists and has been invited to sit on the editorial review boards of The Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants, and the International Journal of Prosthodontics. He is Abstract Editor of the International Journal of Prosthodontics and has been appointed to the editorial council of the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry. Dr. Sadowsky has published more than 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals, mainly on the topic of implant dentistry. He is the 2016 American College of Prosthodontists recipient of the Presidential Citation and the 2018 recipient of the Ken Wical Award for Excellence in Prosthdontics. Dr. Sadowsky has edited a book, titled Evidence-based Implant Treatment Planning and Clinical Protocols.

The first dentists office I've truly enjoyed going to. Cleanings here are a level above anything I've experienced before. After 4 visits, each with a different hygienist, I'll confidently say the staff at Dr. Potesta Knoll's office are all proficient, attentive, thoughtful, and detail oriented. Plus, the view of the Golden Gate Bridge is pretty great too. During COVID times, they have been extra cautious and alert to hygiene practices including installing surgical grade floors (and giving you shoe coverings, sanitizer etc), providing separate waiting rooms, and completing pre-check in paperwork digitally.

I was apprehensive returning to the dentist on the heels of COVID, however Dr. Potesta-Knoll's office was over the top with safety. The extent to which her staff went to keep a clean, sterile, safe environment was completely top notch. Any fabrics were replaced with items easily sanitized. Masks, shoe and hair covers, separate bags for belongings, hand washing, mouth sanitization - all were top notch and executed to the highest quality I have always received from her office. I'm never changing dentists.

I had a classic tooth-ache problem and the Dr. gave me two options to resolve issue. She explained her perspective for supporting and vigorously recommending the more invasive and expensive option which I followed, and then took care of it. Not a single problem and I now have a new crown that fits perfectly (!! 3D printed on site !!). I thoroughly recommend this office.

I've been seeing Dr. Potesta and her team for 12 years. She's done two pieces of significant orthodontic work for me with great results and the hygienist team is also strong. My most recent visit was after they have installed comprehensive Covid19 safety measures and while it was thorough, I was only in the office 20 mins longer than usual and everything worked smoothly.

I wish there were more stars on the rating scale. Dr. Sadowsky and the entire Knoll team are beyond measure. I've been treated by Dr. Sadowsky since 1977 when he practiced down in LA. I'm blessed by his care and expertise. Also, as for hygienists, Lisa knocks it out-of-the-park.

I've been seeing Dr. Sadowsky and the wonderful hygienists at Dr. Potesta-Knoll's practice for many years and can't speak highly enough of their work and desire to serve their patients. They are professional, accommodating and very good at what they do. And Hannah and Sue keep the office humming for them and for us. Now that COVID19 is a fact of life, they have also gone the extra 100 yards to make the environment as safe as possible, upgrading everything from the air systems, to antibacterial flooring, to installing barriers and putting thorough patient safety protocols in place. Strongly recommend this wonderful practice.

Lisa is an amazing Hygienist and Dr Potesta-Knoll, MS is amazing. Makes a concerted effort to educate and make you aware of everything happening with your dental health. They have gone though huge efforts to renovate the office for operating room like conditions to go above COVID requirements. You feel safer in her office than anywhere else you could be,
