Dr. Dale Finkbine grew up in Hamilton, Ohio, and graduated from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 1972 before joining US Navy Dental Corp. During his time in the Navy, he was transferred to Charleston. He decided to exit the Navy and establish a private practice in 1974.

Dr. Finkbine has always been involved in organized dentistry and is a member of both the International College and American College of Dentistry. He is also a member of the South Carolina Academy of Dental Practice Administration and the Pierre Fauchard Academy, a dental honor society.

Dr. Finkbine and his wonderful wife Ellen have been married for 42 years and have four daughters, Amy, Betsy, Megan, and Joellen. The Finkbine family remains extremely tight knit and ever-expanding with four sons-in-law and 6 grandchildren with twins due in Nov (Dr. Megan's) totaling 8 by the end of 2017. Dr. Finkbine is a former member of the Board of Directors at Kanuga Conference Center and the South Eastern Regional Dental Testing Board. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Dr. Megan Finkbine joined Finkbine Family Dentistry in July of 2010 after completing a year working for the Arctic Slope Native Corporation in Barrow, Alaska. She is a 2003 graduate of Wofford College and completed her DMD degree at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry.

During her time in Kentucky, she was president of the American Association of Women Dentists and in charge of the Saturday morning free pediatric clinic. Dr. Finkbine remained dedicated to public health as she spent a year working for the Inupiat Eskimo tribe of the North Slope and continues to return there to do temporary work from time to time.

Dr. Finkbine is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She volunteers monthly at both the CIFC Dental Clinic and a free clinic in North Charleston. She also has done dental mission trips to Honduras and Guatemala. Dr. Finkbine loves the outdoors. She can often be found spending time in her kayak, at the beach, or walking in the Old Village.

Betsy has been a hygienist since graduating from Trident Technical College with a degree in Allied Health in 1999. She enjoys her job because she loves meeting new people and interacting with our longtime patients.

Born and raised in Summerville, Betsy is married to her husband Leslie. She is the proud mother to Sophie and Rhett, the first grandson in our family! In her free time, Betsy enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, attending church, and hanging out with friends.

In her free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and son, Wyatt. Although she is only with us one day a week, we all enjoy Kellys lively personality. There is never a dull moment when she is around! Kelly says that she loves the relaxed yet professional atmosphere that we have in our office.

For over 28 years, Tammy has been a part of Dr. Finkbines dental team. She is a native of the low country and received her bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from the Medical University of South Carolina. Tammy loves her job and encourages her patients to be proactive in their dental treatment to maintain a healthy smile. Tammy can always be recognized by her contagious laugh; our patients have even nicknamed her Giggles and Smiley!

I love working at Finkbine Family Dentistry. Since I have been here for many years, I am now seeing third and fourth generations of families, which makes it like a family. I also love to see patients feel better about themselves after dental treatment. I do enjoy working with our team.

Tammy grew up in Mount Pleasant, SC and recently moved to Goose Creek. She spends her spare time with family, exploring the outdoors, going to the beach, walking on the piers, and going camping. Tammy and her husband Ricky have two daughters, Christy and Miranda, and two granddaughters, Lily and Irelynn.

Sara attended Augusta Technical College and has been with us for eight years. She loves the camaraderie in our office and enjoys spending time with the team, working together to ensure that our patients leave our office with a healthy, happy smile.

Ashlyn joined FinkbineFamily Dentistry in March of 2020. She has been in the dental field for 5 years now and loves getting to know each patient as they come in! Ashlyn grew up in Crowfield and currently lives in the Knightsville area. She is a new mom to her two Dobi babies Bo and Daisy. In her free time she loves to be with her family and friends, staying active outside or being at the ball fields.

WARNING: DO NOT GO! Finkbine incorrectly filed the claim with my insurance and instead of correcting it they just started sending me a bill. I called them and no one answered. I stopped at the office that I received service at for 4 days in a row and there was no one ever there the office was closed. I finally, today, paid the bill. I have insurance through work and I just paid $146 to get my teeth cleaned. WARNING: DO NOT GO!

Honestly, who likes going to the dentist? If you have to go then really consider Finkbine Dentistry. Modern, bright offices and truly pleasant staff. I've dealt with Dr Megan and her sister Betsy Finkbine and both were great, almost forgot where I was and what was going on!! Also the pleasant atmosphere of this office begins with Leurica who works the front desk. Overall a very positive experience and well worth checking out.

I had such a positive experience having my teeth cleaned here. They were kind, professional and on time. They worked around my schedule to get me an appointment on short notice. I would highly recommend them without hesitation.

I have never reviewed any business but this one truly deserves it. I called Finkbine Family Dentistry as a new patient with tooth pain at 8:00am yesterday, as soon as they opened. I was a brand new patient and they had no idea who I was but I told them that I was having bad tooth pain and if they could get me in today I would be very grateful. They told me to come in and they would squeeze me in between appointments so I agreed and was very happy they were willing to do this. I expected to be waiting for a while since I didn't have an appointment but after I filled out the required paperwork I was in a chair and had X-Rays and saw the dentist in no more than 10 minutes. I had my filling done by Megan, and I cannot say to you in words how great she is. I usually hate the dentist because it hurts but not with Megan. I have had many fillings and every single time the shots hurt as well as the filling itself (especially when it's deep like mine yesterday), but with Megan I was fine...the shots didn't hurt, and I didn't feel a thing when she was doing the filling. She was hands down AWESOME. I am so glad I found a dentist like her. She's great, the practice is great. If you need a good dentist in the Charleston area I would 100% recommend her and this practice!!!!

Epitome of efficiency. They fixed, and are still fixing, 22.5 years of bad military dental work. Personable staffs, see you as a person, not just an appointment. Compassionate as well, needed to cancel appointment due to family tragedy, not only did they take the cancellation in stride, but when I returned to town they had sent a card signed by the office. My first encounter with same day 3D printed crowns; no temporary crowns, no 2 week wait only to find what was made won't fit the gap. 3D printed crowns... all that and a bag of chips
