Dr. Michael Ayzin has over 25 years of professional dentistry experience. Each year, he attends many continuing education courses to ensure that all of his patients receive the best, most current care possible. As an active leader in dentistry, serving on the Advisory Board of a large dental college, Dr. Ayzin is directly involved with some of the greatest minds and hands in the world.

Extensive training and experience provide Dr. Ayzin with a special understanding of the dynamics of a smile, the preservation of a healthy mouth, and the creation of matching tooth replacements. Complex dental issues require the special attention and abilities of an experienced dentist, like Dr. Ayzin, to restore optimum oral health and function. Dr. Ayzin is the Clinical Director of Dentistry At Its Finest in Costa Mesa, Orange County, California, and has been in private practice for over 25 years. He studied Psychobiology at the University of Southern California, and then, due to an acceleration of his studies, earned his DDS degree at USC Dental School in 1988. Cosmetic Dentist Dr. Ayzin is a Fellow of The World Clinical Laser & Imaging (WCLI) Institute. He is affiliated with the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Dr. Ayzin is also on the staff of Hoag Hospital, one of the most respected facilities in Orange County. He is married for over 30 years and has a 27 year old son, Ron, who is on staff at the practice as well. Dr. Ayzins hobbies are photography, traveling, and good food.

As a director of a private dental practice, Dr. Ayzin specializes in state-of-the-art cosmetic treatments, including porcelain veneers and full mouth reconstruction, as well as fast and effective pain relief, dental fillings, root canals, wisdom and other difficult tooth extractions, periodontal care for bleeding gums, and more. He provides geriatric dentistry for his older patients, and he particularly enjoys working with kids, helping them build good dental health that will last a lifetime.

From the childhood I knew what I wanted to do with my life. A great driving desire to be a dentist confident in myself, dedicated to others, a financially secure person with a big heart and magicians hands has been a part of me since I was 13 years old.

This feeling grew slowly, but progressively during seven years when I had great exposure to dentistry, by visiting my parents in a dental office, where they worked as a dentist and a dental technician. Everything started when I saw a dentist at work for the first time. I remember this event as though it happened yesterday. It was not so much an event in a literary sense: nothing really took place, there was no action, in which I was involved myself. I was only looking at what was going on as a spectator.

That day, I came to the dental office to get an apartment key from my mom. She was not in the office at the moment, and I seated myself at the dentists chair. Every child at that age wants to be like his parents, wants to imitate them. I was no exception.

As I have already said, my mother was out of the office, so being a curious boy, I turned my eyes to the right, where a man in a white uniform worked with a patient. I did not see the dentists face (he stood with his back towards me). I could see only his hands. The hands were ordinary hands. One could see big, muscular, but at the same time, gentle mans hand with long, sharp fingers. Those fingers. They were so virtuous! Turning and twisting, not stopping for a second, they created a fairy tale.

Fascinated by their manipulation I couldnt take my eyes away. I gazed on them. I followed their every movement, like a simple spectator watches a magician performing a trick. Name of the magician was dentist, name of the trick-treatment of a bad tooth. Like a spectator who wants to catch a hidden movement of the performer to learn the techniques of the trick, I wanted to catch it, just to satisfy my childish interest.

At the time the doctor was concentrated on his work. With confident movement he took a small mirror and a pointer, examined the patients mouth carefully, looked at the negative of the bad tooth, understood a problem and began to solve it. A second later a hand-piece was in his right hand, and he was making a correct form for the filling. Next moment the magician filled it up with a filling material. Of course, the work took, at least, a quarter of an hour, but for the child, who was fascinated with the work, time didnt have any meaning. I was out of earthy dimensions just like the viewer, whose eyes are riveted on the object of the magicians work during a long lasting show.

The job was finished. The performance was over, the curtain was lowered. Naive spectator left the auditorium stunned by the trick itself and by the fact that he neither understood nor learned the techniques of the trick. On the way home, I wanted to see it again and again. What was more important I wanted to try to repeat it to get a feeling of dentistry, doing it with my own hands great desire motivated me.

Later, on many occasions during my volunteer work, I found out that I have sensitivity to the needs of other people and the ability to communicate with the patients. Also I have good hands, inherited from my father, and excellent perceptual as well as dexterous abilities and craft skills, which can not be substituted by anything else in the dental profession.

Dr. Ron Ayzin is focused on delivering personalized patient care in a comforting environment to patients of all ages. He proudly offers a comprehensive range of dental services encompassing all areas of dentistry.

Dr. Ayzin is a SoCal native and received his Bachelors degree in Neuroscience from the University of Southern California (USC). He obtained his DDS degree from the University of the Pacific (UoP), Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and completed his Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) while working as a faculty instructor at UCLA Dental School as well. Dr. Ron Ayzin then furthered his implant and oral surgery training at the Texas Implant Institute, where along with his residency, he developed his skills in full mouth reconstruction and advanced implant rehabilitation.

He is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the California Dental Association. Aside from providing his patients with high-quality dental treatment and care, Dr. Ayzins interests include basketball, tacos, hiking, traveling, working out, football, and spending time with his loved ones.
