Dr. Alston has been committed to serving her patients with top-notch dental care for the last 25 years. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B.S. degree in Dental Hygiene in 1991 and from UNC School of Dentistry in 1995 with a D.D.S. degree. She has a great passion for dentistry and helping her patients to overcome their fears with her calming and caring chairside manner. She takes the time to clearly explain what needs to be done so her patients can make an educated decision about their treatment.
While enjoying all aspects of dentistry, Dr. Alstons focus revolves around porcelain crowns and bridges, cosmetic dentistry, extractions, dentures and partials. She stays committed to learning about the new advancements in dentistry by attending various CE courses throughout the year. She is a member of the ADA, North Carolina Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and Matthews Chamber of Commerce.
Dr. B received his first dental degree in the year 2000, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, in Bogota Colombia. Shortly after, he moved to New York City and completed a one year program of advanced studies in Prosthodontics and Dental implants at NYU, New York University College of Dentistry in 2005.
Dr. B also earned his second DDS degree in 2008, from NYU where he truly discovered his passion for academia, and was honored with the privilege of teaching in the predoctoral and graduate clinics and preclinics.
Long Island Academy of Odontology Award Upon graduation, Dr. Buitrago was recognized with the Dr. Harry J. Gersten Award presented to the senior dental student demonstrating excellence in fixed prosthodontics theory and technique along with the Long Island Academy of Odontology Award presented to the senior dental student who best exemplified scholastic achievement and clinical proficiency during the four years of study.
Driven to become the best in restorative procedures, esthetics and implant dentistry Dr. Buitrago completed a three years postgraduate program in Prosthodontics at New York Hospital Queens part of Cornell University in 2011. This program provided him with the extensive training and skills needed to provide the highest quality in dental implants, complex restorations and dental techniques that ensure patients receive outstanding dental care. Dr. Buitrago, relocated to Georgia in 2011, where he joined a multispecialty dental group, he worked and lived in the Atlanta perimeter for 3 years. In 2014, He then moved to south west Florida and worked as an associate Dentist for a year. While living on the west coast of Florida he scouted out the best place to build his solo practice and found the perfect location in the heart of Coral Springs. After 15 years of extensive training, hard work and dedication he is very excited to finally open his solo dental practice, Advanced Dentisty of Coral Springs.
In Dr Buitragos free time he enjoys traveling with his wife and two daughters and discovering all the outdoors activities living in south Florida has to offer. He is currently training to run his first half marathon.

I would only recommend this place if you have half a day to go to the dentist. It has potential to be a great dentistry but every time I have been, I have waited and waited to be seen. I had to get up and leave at my last appointment to get to work. They'll be great once they learn to respect their patients time.

I have been a patient at Fine Arts Dentistry for many years now, and I have to say that their customer service, commitment to care, and their professionalism are top notch. Recently I went in for a surgical pre-op appointment, and Doctor Patel and his team who saw me were very skilled and meticulous with their work. They did what they had to do to prepare me for the surgery, answering all my questions about it and putting my uneasiness to rest.

Dr Alston is the most personable, compassionate, and Gentle for her patients. ALL the team works together very well! They even make going thru the Insurance snafus SOO Easy!!! Thank you all!!!!! I also love the sensitivity the individuals that do the periodontal cleaning use!!!!!

I have always been afraid of the dentist but Dr. Alston and Dr. Patel made me aware of what needed to be done in a realistic and understanding way instead of pushy and aggressive like I've received other places. I've only had the pleasure of having 2 of the hygienists there but they all seem just as nice!. All in all, great place!

Such a nice place to go for a service a lot of people don't enjoy. The entire staff is super nice and very knowledgeable! I'm so happy I found Fine Arts Dentistry! Dr. Alston is a beast and a rock star!!! She had filled cavities and pulled a tooth and both procedures were perfect and painless.

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Patel and the rest of the team. I've had cleanings and fillings. The front office explained the costs in detail before and after each visit so there were no surprises financially, the place is extremely clean, and the dental work has been outstanding. I highly recommend Fine Arts Dentistry.
