Dr. Mauricio Fonrodona is a highly skilled dentist with more than 20 years experience. He was raised in Colombia around the family tradition of dentistry as his father was well known for being one of the first pioneers in implant dentistry in the 1970s. While in Colombia he received his dental degree as well as completing a three-year residency focused on Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry. Following his residency, he was also involved as a part-time faculty member, giving lectures on various courses such as esthetics and dental implants.
Dr. Fonrodona went on to further his education by completing the Master Clinician Program in Implant Dentistry at Gide Institute in 2015, earning the first-place award with Top Honors out of 150 fellow global students. He has a passion for knowledge that drives him to receive well over the required amount of continuing education. Dr. Fonrodona is well known for his skills in full-mouth rehabilitation as well as smile make overs and still lectures on these topics. Dr. Fonrodona is a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, Diplomate with the American Board of Oral Implantology, and an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. Currently Dr. Fonrodona maintains a private practice focusing on Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry in Fillmore, CA.
His current area of interest is Digital Technology applied to Implant Dentistry. Dr. Fonrodona enjoys spending time with his family traveling to other countries. Daughter, Isabella is a recent graduate of UCLA and will be soon be attending medical school. Wife, Laura continues to be an active part of the practice working side by side with Dr. Fonrodona to manage their state-of-the art digital technology and laboratory.
