Dr. Mallia is a graduate of the University of Michigan and a member of the Russell W. Bunting Periodontal Society. She has been practicing dentistry since 2001 in the local area. In 2015 Dr. Mallia purchased the office here in the Dexter community. Dr. Mallia resides in Canton, MI with her husband, Mike, her two children, Nicole and Patrick; and Ginger (their Border Collie mix). As the daughter of a retired Air Force Veteranshe welcomes and greatly appreciates all Military Service men and women. On her off days, Dr. Mallia enjoys painting, crocheting, and playing with her kids.
Kristi is a graduate of the University of Michigan (1981) and has been in the dental field ever since. She has been part of the team at Fifth Street Dental Care since 1996. Kristi is married and has 3 children. On her days off she likes to travel, garden, and hike.

I had a cavity filled here and instantly had extreme tooth sensitivity. I went back a week later to get it fixed and Dr. Malia shaved it down and made the sensitivity even worse. It took about 2 years for it to go away and I still have sensitivity every once in a while where I had my filling and get food stuck in it. I thought maybe it was nothing or I was crazy (even though I had other cavities filled by a different dental office and had no issues) until my sister went and had a cavity filled by her and had an even worse experience. Dr. Malia told her her intense headaches and tooth sensitivity from the spot of her cavity fill was from "allergies". I'm a nurse and that makes no sense. Please don't go here. Also their dental hygienists' aren't the best either, I went there for years and they are too rough with the cleanings. I obviously have stopped going here and so should you.

I had a couple cavities filled and dr malia absolutely ruined my teeth. She messed up the nerves in my mouth and when taking an X-ray on a follow up due to immense pain and headaches she said "looks like allergies" on the tooth she just worked on and never had any issues til she touched them. Did nothing about it. I have extreme pain from the nerve and the tooth itself is highly sensitive. The other side of my mouth is also messed up bc she made the gap inbetween my two fillings too wide and food chunks get stuck up there and it's painful to eat, and floss. She drilled the two fillings out and redid them and SAME thing happened again. I went back and she told me "to use thinner floss" and took no credit for all the pain she has caused me and sent me on my way. Why would it be the floss I'm using that makes no sense?? My mouth is in constant pain day to day on both sides since she did my fillings, she doesn't listen to her patients and doesn't take any credit for ruining my teeth that had no issues til I got them filled by her. I spent so much money for her to ruin my teeth and now can't afford to actually get them fixed by a dentist who knows what they're doing

If your going to have to go to the dentist this is the team to see! Highly recommend Taylor (hygienist) and Dr. Mallia. Both are really friendly and great at coming up with the right plan that gets results.

So far so good. I hadn't had a general dentist for a minute and needed a little work. They are very kind and thorough with pain management. I recently had to go back to have a sensitivity issue checked and, and they just fixed it in a minute and sent me on my way. My partner has decided to begin going here as well.

The staff is friendly and make going to the dentist fun. They're gentle but thorough. Not overly expensive and are very easygoing. I have been going to them since I was a kid and will continue to give them my business.

I appreciate being given an emergency appointment..Dr. Mallia was great as usual. I was surprised by cost of prescription...could be a real problem for someone without insurance. Don't know if there are other options. Thanks!!
