Enjoy flexibility with NEWH. Your primary care physician (PCP) can refer you to a specialist in our Massachusetts General Hospital, MGH network without waiting for administrative authorization. And you can self-refer to anyone in our Health Center for vision, dental behavioral health, podiatry, and OB/GYN services.
Take the Orange Line or the Green Line to the Haymarket stop. Walk past the Rose Kennedy Greenway toward the North End to Cross Street. Turn right on Cross Street and take your second left, which is Hanover Street. NEW Health is three blocks up on the left, next to St. Leonards Church.
From other areas of Charlestown, take the 93 bus to Bunker Hill Street at Vine Street. Walk back down Bunker Hill Street and cross the intersection onto Vine Street. The health center will be on the left.

Jim Luisi has been C.E.O. of NEW Health for over 29 years. During his tenure, he has overseen the creation of a 140 bed nursing home and an elderly housing development in the North End. In December 2015, he opened a community health center in New Englands largest public housing development located in Charlestown which brought dental and vision services for the first time to that community.
His awards include a Lifetime Achievement Award from NACHC in 2009, CEO of the Year from the Mass League in 2007, a Public Service Award from the Boston Red Sox in 2005, Italian American of the Year in 2015 and Administrator of the Year from the Boston Business Journal in 2006.
