Dr. Fidel Abreu has over 30 years of experience in Dentistry. I grew up in Cuba and completed my Dental training at Havana University, College of Dentistry in 1987. Due to the political situation in Cuba, I then immigrated to the United States in 1992.
Once in the United States, I had to start from scratch, but having a career as a dentist in the US was my ultimate goal. I began taking English classes and in 1994 I was accepted into NYU College of Dentistry and obtained by Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 1997 with Honors in Endodontics.
Immediately upon graduation, I started my private practice in Bellmore, N.Y. and also began working as an associate in an office in Freeport for 8 years. After some time, I became a vital part of Abreu and Ortiz, LLP as part owner. In 2015, I finally fulfilled my dream of owning my own practice: Dr. Fidel Abreu DDS PLLC.
Dentistry is my passion and I have completed extensive dental training and courses in the various specialties of dentistry. I received a fellowship in Orthodontics on NYU in 1998. I also completed an Implant Seminars Course conducted by the renowned Dr. Arun Garg. Over the course of my career, I have placed over 300 implants to date and completed training in Sinus Lifts, Block Grafts, the Split Ridge technique, and All on Four Overdentures, thereby becoming a Diplomat of the International Dental Implant Association. My desire to pursue such extensive training is to provide my patients with the most innovative and modern techniques for my patients in this new era of dentistry.
As an avid learner, I decided to complete training in Botox and Dermal Fillers to become of member of the International Academy of Facial Aesthetics. This training inspired a new component of the practice: The Dental Spa of Dr. Fidel Abreu, PLLC. The spa offers a wide array of services that include: Botox, lip augmentation, Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy, Skin Rejuvenation, and Laser Therapy and Hair Removal with the use of Viora, the most sophisticated laser on the market.
