Dr. Ferrari has been an orthodontist for over 25 years and incorporates CBCT and airway analysis using 3D imaging that is lower radiation than standard 2D orthodontic imaging. She is an expert at Invisalign treatment, even using invisalign on cases that require surgery, as well as overcoming the need for surgery with the use of Invisalign in many cases. Her practice is high touch/high tech and her focus is on the whole patient. She really cares about her patients and strives to reduce treatment times and provide a warm caring and beautiful environment. Her new office is state of the art and beautifully designed. Her philosophy is to bring her patients to the state that nature intended with a healthy airway and beautifully functioning bite, since in orthodontics form follows function. Dr. Ferrari is a specialist in Craniofacial development and loves her work.
Dr. Ferrari grew up with orthodontics, working with her father, who was an orthodontist from an early age. She received her dental degree from the University of Michigan where she received numerous awards. She completed her orthodontic training at the University of Washington, Seattle where she also received awards for her research. She completed a three-year post-graduate fellowship in craniofacial anomalies at the UCSF. She was on faculty at UCSF and, and on the craniofacial anomalies team at Oakland Children's Hospital for many years.
Dr. Ferrari has traveled extensively. She lived in Ireland where she taught dentistry at Trinity College, and has been on volunteer missions treating patients with facial deformities in Nepal, Chile and Argentina.
Dr. Alena Larios is a Board Certified Orthodontist who is originally from Southern C.A., but now calls the East Bay her permanent home. She attended UC Berkeley for undergrad (Go Bears!) and earned her Doctorate degree from UCLA, where she served as the Class President for all four years. Dr. Larios returned to the Bay for her residency in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at UCSF and also received a Master's degree in Oral and Craniofacial Sciences. Her thesis investigated the role of bone cells in the progression of Temporomandibular Joint Degeneration (TMJD) and this topic remains one of her areas of interest.
Dr. Larios is passionate about the idea that orthodontists can help patients beyond straightening their teeth. She strongly believes that optimal alignment of the jaws is directly related to overall physical health and will always take the time to ensure that patients understand their treatment recommendations based on this philosophy. Her mission is to work as a team with families and individuals to reach shared goals, and is confident that patients will feel comfortable and cared for like family at Ferrari Orthodontics.
Dr. Katie Marsh is a Board Certified Orthodontist and Bay Area native who spent eleven years at the University of Southern California completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience, Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, and Orthodontic training, in which she also earned a Master of Science degree in Craniofacial Biology. She graduated from dental school at the top of her class, receiving numerous awards, and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. During dental school she volunteered in the Philippines and Belize, providing free dental care to communities in need. Her research on digitally-facilitated orthodontics was recently accepted for publication in the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.
Dr. Marsh is happy to return to her roots in the Bay Area. Working alongside Dr. Ferrari, she is interested in focusing more on how orthodontic treatment can aid in proper jaw growth and development and can help promote healthy airway function. She is passionate about upholding the high touch/high tech atmosphere in addition to the whole-patient approach at Ferrari Orthodontics.
In her free time, Dr. Marsh enjoys hiking California's highest peaks, training for marathons, playing soccer, and skiing. While completing her Orthodontic training, she also served as head coach of the USC Field Hockey team. Fun fact: Dr. Marsh has an identical twin sister!
Dr. Ferrari pays attention to jaw joints and airways. Sheis very interested in the origin of malocclusion and agrees with the theory that our diet and lifestyle has an effect on our facial growth. Clearly there is a strong genetic influence on facial growth and Dr. Ferrari was involved in basic science research into the genetics of facial development while she was a fellow at UCSF. However, there are also environmental influences on the growth of the face. When these environmental and genetic influences have caused a developing malocclusion or difficulty breathing, Dr. Ferrari helps patients re-establish a state of harmony which can influence the room they have for the developing teeth and the room they have to breathe as well. When evaluating a patient, Dr. Ferrari takes into consideration sleep habits and behavior issues as well as posture, diet, and tongue function. She is very attuned to the aestheticsof her patients and their treatment, but is also of the philosophy that teeth that function well tend to look good.
Ferrari Orthodontics offers patients comprehensive and effective orthodontic treatment with the most advanced technology available. This serves to empower patients to make the most of what's needed and help expedite the process.
I cant recommend Dr. Ferrari enough! The care we have received from her and her office staff is stellar. They are great with children and a dream to work with: extremely responsive, kind, efficient, skilled, flexible and dare I say it fun? Of course no one really wants to get orthodontic work done (and many of us cringe at the price tag) but if you have to, do it here worth every penny!
I cannot praise Dr. Ferrari enough. My son was a perfect candidate for maxillofacial surgery (yikes!!), and Dr. Ferrari was able to treat him with dedication while considering our fear for this surgery. After two years my son's teeth look amazing, and without surgery !!! Thank you Dr. Ferrarimy daughter is next!
Dr. Ferrari, Ann and all of her staff are outstanding! Both my kids are currently her patients using Invisalign. The professional care is excellent and by far better than the other orthodontist office we used to go. Plus, the personal attention given to each of my kids is remarkable.

I had the best experience with Dr. Claire Ferrari, she is extremely knowledgeable and genuinely cares about her patients and their outcomes. Her team is also amazing, and will make sure you get the best service possible - if you need orthodontic services, I cannot recommend this practice enough.

Highly recommend Dr. Claire Ferrari. I've seen 2 other orthodontists, and she is the best. She is detail oriented, knowledgeable, and just genuinely cares about her patients. Her team is fantastic too--Anne and Janet (her assistants) and Myra at the front desk is so patient and helpful. My daughter needs ortho treatment but lives elsewhere for college. Even though she could go see another orthodontist, we're going to wait and get treatment from Dr. Ferrari because yes, she's that good. I would recommend Dr. Ferrari and her team to my friends and family.

Dr. Ferrari is my orthodontists and I'm happy to say that It's one one my favorite places to go. Ann and Janett are so funny, great with kids, and a great way to start my appointment. Dr. Ferrari although she is responsible for the months of braces my teeth look absolutely fantastic and I have nothing bad to say about them. The lovely woman up front are so helpful, you and your busy children have nothing to worry about because they will squeeze you in somewhere. I personally have issues with my air way and Dr. Ferrari has made it an important part of my treatment to help it. I highly recommend, and my straight perfect teeth will say the same.

I always thought I would take my son to Dr. Ferrari, as I knew her reputation as a wonderful orthodontist for young people. She is super knowledgeable and a consummate professional, as well as a warm and endearing soul who is fabulous with children. Little did I know Dr. Ferrari would end up treating me, after several years under the care of a dentist who moved my teeth in the wrong direction, so that I no longer had a working "bite"! I am eternally grateful to Dr. Ferrari and her bright and patient staff for the excellent care I received at a critical time, and the vision Dr. Ferrari held to restore my teeth to an attractive, comfortable and functional bite.

Dr. Ferrari and her staff are from Heaven! From The way the office looks to the on-time appointments, from the cutting edge software to the care the doctor and her amazing assistants take in each of my children and the different needs they have, from the payment plans which are very personalized to the warmth and kindness they all show to my children when they are being cared for, I know that you cannot do better than seeing Dr. Ferrari for child or adult orthodontia. I know that our tongue tie, airway compromises, and malocclusion are being tended to with the newest technology. My children are treated with respect and therefore are inspired to maintain their appliances with care. We can not think of leaving the area until we are all done at Dr. Ferrari's office! I see so much progress in the health and appearance and I loook forward to the final product.

Ferrari Orthodontics is great. They are skilled, responsive and very accomodating. Whenever we had an issue between appointments they hustled to fit us in. Great with kids, too! The staff are friendly and welcoming and Dr. Ferrari involves and educates parents every step of the way. Odd to say about an orthodontic office - but I feel like I'm getting a bargain for all the extra attention we've received. I can't recommend them enough!

For thirteen years I worked as a dental hygienist and for three as a dental assistant. I have seen a lot of good and a lot of mediocre dentistry. I highly recommend Dr. Claire Ferrari! Dr. Ferrari does not only care about straightening teeth, but she looks at the person as whole, and is interested in a person's overall health as well. She is a master of implementing preventive measures in children to avoid future problems in adulthood. Her combination of many years of experience, state of the art technology, passion, and compassion make her an exemplary orthodontist! I sought Dr. Ferrari's care to have a night guard fitted because I grind my teeth resulting in bone loss. I had many options of clinicians to choose from, but I traveled quite far for her care because I trust her. Dr. Ferrari utilizes the latest state of the art technology. She has also been working with the practice of airway orthodontics, the alignment of the jaw, and its connection to restorative sleep. She conducted a sleep study which showed that my oxygen levels go down throughout the night, preventing me from getting restorative sleep. I learned that many of my health symptoms, GERD, cold hands, dizziness, postnasal drip, are resulting from UARS - upper airway resistance syndrome (which I didn't know existed). Instead of fitting me with a night guard Dr. Ferrari fitted me with an appliance to wear at night to bring my jaw forward, thus opening the airway. I immediately felt a difference! Dr. Claire Ferrari's passion to help people comes through in every step she takes. Her office reflects her as a person...beautiful, caring, relaxed, comfortable, and connected to and respecting nature. I guarantee that you will be happy and again, I highly and enthusiastically recommend Ferrari Orthodontics!

I am so happy since I switched to Ferrari Orthodontics! They are so friendly and available. Dr. Ferrari is up on the very latest in her field. Her staff seem more like partners in the enterprise than employees. They are flexible with scheduling and really try to work around busy kid schedules. I left another practice because it felt like an mill and they had a "my way of the highway' attitude towards scheduling. There is none of that feeling at Ferrari Orthodontics!

I strongly recommend Dr. Ferrari to anybody who seeks for orthodontic care! I'm truly happy that Dr. Ferrari was the one who did my Invisalign treatment - very professional and flexible to my needs! In particular, she accommodated my request for rapid treatment, making 80% of the total process just in 3 months! She did extra procedure called Propel to expedite the progress and will mail the rest of the trays to my home in Europe (which I really appreciate, since I'm leaving the US for a while and will be able to finish the treatment with no loss to the progress). A few words about Propel - I was really scared of the procedure itself (especially given that I did it 2 days after I delivered my second child), I even hated Dr. Ferrari for 2 days after the procedure, because my jaws were sore.. but the procedure really worked making the speed of Invisalign treatment 2-3 times faster (I.e. I changed the trays every 3 days instead of every 7-8). So in the end I'm happy I did the procedure and strongly advise it to anybody who is in the rush or wants to achieve better results!
