Dr. Ferrara grew up in New Orleans and moved to Mandeville in 1991 with his parents and two younger brothers. He graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School and then LSU where he met his future wife Laura and finished magna cum laude. Dr. Ferrara graduated LSU Dental School in 2003, finishing with honors including entry into the C. Edmund Kells Honor Society and was awarded the General Dentistry Award. He has worked as a dentist on the Northshore since graduation and has been a resident of Madisonville since 2004. His wife, a veterinarian, works down the road at Tchefuncte Animal Hospital. They have two young children, Becca and Noah. Dr. Ferrara is happy to work in the town where he is raising his family and loves the atmosphere of Madisonville. The driving force behind his chosen career is the need to help others as well as the desire to work and create in fine detail with his hands. Personal connections with his patients are a priority to Dr. Ferrara. His special interests in dentistry include sedation dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.

He has been an active member in local dental organizations, serving as the Treasurer for the local component of the American Dental Association for the past few years and was recently selected by his peers to serve as President in the next term. He is an active member at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, and his hobbies include family, entertaining friends, movies, LSU & Saints football, and outdoor activities. Since childhood, he has been an avid Star Wars fan.

Dr. Sydney Lahasky grew up in New Iberia, Louisiana with her parents and three sisters, including an identical twin sister. She moved to Baton Rouge to attend LSU, where she was introduced to dentistry. She graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. She then spent time as a dental assistant before attending LSU School of Dentistry, graduating in the top of her class.

Dr. Lahasky has always been drawn to the hands-on aspect of dentistry, providing patients with a solution, whether the problem be pain, discomfort, or cosmetic. As a child, Sydney was able to experience firsthand how ones smile can impact their self-confidence. She loves how dentistry gives her the opportunity to instill that same self-confidence in her patients, confidence that every person deserves! She is eager to build relationships with her patients and serve the Northshore community.

Chewbacca, AKA Chewie, is our Ferrara Family Dentistry mascot. He is a four year old golden doodle who can often be seen sporting a crooked smile near the front desk. Chewie was appropriately named in tribute to his work in the dental setting and also due to Dr. Ferraras love of Star Wars. We knew it was the right name when we discovered his birthday is Star Wars Day (May the Fourth). He is a beloved pet of Dr. Ferrara and his family and a favorite of our patients. Dont forget to say hi to Chewie when you visit our office. He will wag his tail and will be happy to greet you.

Kathleen 'Kate' LeBeau was born in Northeast Arkansas in the town of West Helena and was raised in Piggott, Arkansas. Kate had an interest in dentistry as a high school student when she became a dental assistant. After graduating high school, Kate went on to Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas and then the University of Arkansas for Medical Science for dental hygiene. In 2002, she graduated with an Associate of Dental Hygiene. She has three children and is very involved in cub scouts, league bowling and baseball.

'I like giving patients comfort', Kate said, 'I want them to know that their concerns are heard and are always welcome.' With over 20 years of hygiene experience and some prior years of dental assisting, we are lucky to have such a gentle and qualified dental team member.

Kelly was born in New Orleans and moved to the Northshore in 1993. She graduated from Covington High School and went on to receive a degree in Psychology from Southeastern University. After graduating from Southeastern she decided to pursue a career in Dental Hygiene. In 2004 she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from LSU School of Dentistry. She has now been practicing for almost 16 years and resides in Bush with her husband Josh and two children. Kelly enjoys hiking and spending time with her family. Kelly loves interacting with her patients and making sure they have a very comfortable and positive experience.
