Dr. William Fugere is a graduate of the Oregon Health and Science University-School of Dentistry and has been practicing since 2012. After dental school, he received an additional year of training in a hospital-based General Practice Residency where he learned advanced techniques in general dentistry as well as training in the fields of prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, and oral surgery. Upon the completion of his residency, Dr. Fugere became a commissioned Naval Officer and has served our Sailors and Marines at Camp Pendleton, 29 Palms, and most recently, Naval Base Kitsap in Bangor, WA. Dr. Fugere separated from service in 2017.

A member of the Spear Study Club, Dr. Fugere is committed to the pursuit of comprehensive, quality dentistry. He regularly implements the latest technology, newest techniques, and expanded treatment options to make dentistry easier, more comfortable, more predictable, and more accessible for his patients.

A native of Burien, Dr. Fugere lives in Poulsbo with his wife Ann and daughters Bella and Ali. Annteaches math at Olympic High School in Silverdale and the girls enjoy gymnastics, piano, and being a part of their local Scouts BSA group as part of the first wave of females in Scouting.

Having hada fantastic childhood here in the PNW, Dr. Fugere spends as much time outdoors as possible, enjoying all the natural diversity and activities that this region offers. He spends most of his free time trying to cultivate that experience with his own children so they develop the same passion he has for the outdoors.

Dr. LeClairs interest and passion for dentistry is as strong today as it was when she was a student in dental school. She credits this with the fact that the science of dentistry continues to evolve and give her opportunities to learn and grow. She believes that improved technology, along with compassion, can create a comfortable environment for patient care.

Dr. LeClair has taken countless hours of continuing education in the areas of oral health, pathology, dental materials, implants, and restorative dentistry. She has had extensive training in the area of occlusion and aesthetic dentistry through seminars and workshops mentored by Dr. Frank Spear, premier educator in restorative and esthetic dentistry, as well as study clubs mentored by Dr. Lynn Jones and Dr. Don Jayne; both accredited, through the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Dr. LeClair is originally from Seattle and has lived in Hansville, Washington since 1986. She and her husband Tim enjoy boating in the San Juan and Canadian gulf islands, as well as bicycle riding, hiking, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Dr. LeClair also finds time for gardening and quality time spent with her husband, family, friends, and neighbors.

Dr. Billingsley strongly believes in preventative dentistry to help avoid cavities, gum disease, and enamel wear in order to help keep your mouth strong and beautiful. She is so excited to be a part of the Fernwood Dental Team, where we all are working toward improving your healthy smile.

Dr. Kristen Billingsley is originally from Batesville, Indiana and completed her major in Biology at the University of Dayton in Ohio. She then earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She was commissioned into the Navy and completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency.

After her first duty station at Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago, she was sent to Bremerton to complete her final Navy tour. Dr. Billingsley believes strongly in continuing education and is active in local study clubs and dental societies.

Dr. Billingsley and her husband, Alex, welcomed their new baby boy in November 2019. Little baby Franz has joined in on the family hikes, along with their dog, Otto. They still have to figure out how he is going to fare backpacking and skiing. When they arent adventuring, you can find them working on their 'fixer upper home' from dry-walling to blackberry removal.

Karen has been a part of our office for more than 20 years. She helps patients achieve a lifetime of oral health through preventive cleanings, assessments of periodontal health and caries risk, and education. Karen enjoys working with those who put the health and well-being of their patients as the first priority.

Karen married her husband Terry in 1986. They have three grown children Anna, Katy, and Alex, and three grandchildren. Her free time is spent crocheting and playing keyboard for her church worship team.

An advocate not only for oral care but whole health care for all ages, helen graduated from Eastern Washington University with a Bachelors of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1995. Helen considers herself a west coast gal, having lived in Vancouver Canada, California, Oregon and Washington.

Outside of the office, Helen enjoys spending time with family and friends celebrating milestones, such as her fathers 90 birthday, trying new recipes or perfecting family favorites (stuffed mushrooms). She also enjoys gardening, sewing, home improvements and interior design.

Originally from New Hampshire, Mary-Anne moved to the Pacific Northwest around 2007 with her husband and two sons. As a part of our dental team, she has found clinical assisting to be very rewarding. Making her patients comfortable during their visits is a priority for her. She is often heard laughing with a patient and sharing stories about her family here, and back home.

Minjee came to our team in 2017 and has ten years of experience in dental assisting. She can be found taking X-rays and impressions, and assisting our dentists in restoration procedures. The variety of her work is what makes Minjee excited to come to the office every day. She enjoys our fun work environment and great teamwork.

Victoria is our insurance guru! Since starting in the dental profession in 2000, she has taken yearly continuing education courses to stay current on all the current treatment, care, and billing practices. While she is cross-trained as a dental assistant, her true passion is helping patients get the best coverage from their insurance plans.

Victoria spends her evenings and weekends cheering on her two boys at soccer and basketball. She volunteers at Esquire Hills Elementary on her day off. Her other interests include camping with her family, cooking, and quilting.

Michelle has worked in the dental field for 14 years, most of the time as a dental assistant. She has recently transitioned to front office about a year and a half ago. The most fulfilling part of her job is getting to work one on one with the patients, which she truly enjoys getting to know each and everyone of them.

After her husband retired from the Marine Corps after 20 years of service, they moved to the State of Washington in 2015, with their daughter and two sons. When not at work she enjoys spending time with family and exploring in the beautiful state of Washington.
